Ch 9
In the corridors of the Necroship, Star-Lord, Drax, and Rocket fought through a gauntlet of Kree Troopers, Cyborgs, Nobles, Oracles, Reapers, and Royal Guards, blasting and stabbing their way through the enemy ranks. They almost made it to the command bridge when they were blocked by a Kree Commander named Korath the Pursuer with a Kree Reaper and a Kree Noble guarding him. "Star-Lord." Korath growled.
"Finally." Star-Lord replied, grinning now that at least one of his enemies knew his name.
"You will never make it to Hala." Korath said.
"Take your best shot." Rocket challenged.
Korath fired green energy blasts from his N20-75 Distrupter Rifle. Everyone dodged out of the way as the shots hit the wall harmlessly. Drax was fighting the Kree Reaper who tried to strike him with her two arm-blades. Drax blocked and parried each slash with his twin knives before he got in some hits of his own and kicked the Kree Reaper into the wall, knocking her out. Rocket was fighting the Kree Noble as he fired his energy pistol at the small alien.
Rocket used his speed and agility to dodge all the shots before he pounced on the Kree Noble and punched him in the face many times, bringing him down. The Kree Noble stirred and was about to get back up but Rocket finally put him down with one final headpunch. Lastly, Star-Lord was still fighting Korath. Star-Lord dodged Korath's shots with his jetboots before he kicked Korath in the chest, making him drop his blaster. Korath pulled out 2 energy swords and slashed and cut at Star-Lord. Star-Lord dodged and ducked every strike before blasting back the Kree with a bolt of lightning from his Element Gun, shocking him to death with the electricity.
"Okay, that's that." Star-Lord said.
"I think we've reached the final boss." Rocket added.
"Yeah, now we need to take out Hala. Come on!" Star-Lord flew off and Rocket and Drax ran after him. They were coming for Hala and they would get the Soul Stone back. They could not afford to lose again.
