Empire city, a city full of light and life... But the bigger the light the wider the shadow it makes, and this city is no excepcion. In the most ruined buildings of this city, hiding in plain sight stood a laboratory. Inside it giant test tubes everywhere as a big group scientists run around like chickens, trying to build the project that was given to them by lead scientist Doctor Kraven Tonnybell.
Dr. Tonnybell: Come on, come on, you fools, we have a timetable to complete!
He screamed this whit exasperation, as he passed his hand through his hairless head, the stress as a result of his dedication to his work showed.
His superiors orders where clear, finish this project with the most results as fast as possible... He could lose his job over this.
Scientist: hum... Sir?
Dr. Tonnybell: What is it? Speak your mind, goddammit!
Scientist: test subject n 10000 as died.
Dr. Tonnybell: For fuck sake! We must face it... Adult test subjects cannot take the level of stress in the body from all the injections, the body is too developed, we should try with children... But we cannot ask families to just give their children away. I'm finished, I'm going to lose my career, the think that I gave my personal life for, the thing that I almost gave my sanity for...
Scientist: hum... Sir?
Dr. Tonnybell: What the fuck is it? Can't you see I'm contemplating about my next job?!
Scientist: But sir, a woman as contacted us, she wants to deliver a child as a test sobject.
Dr. Tonnybell: Are you joking?
Scientists: No, it's true, the woman is called Samantha and she is at the door of our laboratory at this very moment.
Dr. Tonnybell: then what are you waiting for, you fool?! Lead me to her!
Soon enough Kraven stood face to face with the woman in question:
Samantha Mantis Ford.
Samantha: So, you are the lead scientist of this "secret project"?
Dr. Tonnybell: How do you know of it and the location of this lab?
Samantha: One of your stupid associates told me over some drinks.
Dr. Tonnybell: Someone is going to die for this!
Samantha laughed at that but soon turned back to a normal tone of voice.
Samantha: So, down to business, shall we?
Dr. Tonnybell: Is that girl the one?
He asked as he looked at the girl that gave him an almost soulless look.
Samantha: Yes, that's the freak, take her away for good.
Dr. Tonnybell: I'll do as you ask, this benefits my project anyway, I don't think I need to tell you what will happen if you expose our secret.
Samantha: you'll kill me and bla, bla, bla, just get that freak out of my face.
Dr, Tonnybell: As you wish...does she have a name?
Samantha walked away and as she did she said:
Samantha: No.
A look of pity crossed Kraven's old face but soon left it as he said for the girl to come along with him, and she did with mechanic movements.
