Chapter 3 Blackout
G:Adora Al-Asad just executed President Al-fulani on national television.
A:The Americans have plans for Al-Asad, and it's to late to do anything for Al-fulani. But in less than three hours code name Seahawk will be executed in Russia.
G:Seahawk? who's he?
A:Seahawk is our informant in the ultranationalist camp, he supplied the info on the cargo ship operation. Seahawk's in hell right now, were gonna walk him out, we take care of our friends. Let's move.

Day 2
Catra chambers a round in her M4A1 SOPMOD and adjusting the M21 Sniper on her back looking at Glimmer and Adora in Front of her. (alright catra second mission don't hesitate this time) Adora starts "The loyalists are expecting us half a Klick to the north move out." Catra starts walking through the water staying as quiet as she can be "Loyalists eh? are those the good Russians or the bad Russians?" Glimmer sarcastically asks "It means they won't shoot you on sight sparkles... probably." Catra jokes, glimmer chuckles "That's good enough for me, hairball." Catra looks back at her "Seriously hairball?" "Yeah, you know catra cat-ra?" Glimmer tries to explain Adora walks up to the both of them "Cut the chatter, two targets 12 o'clock" and she points at two Russians smoking on a short dock. Catra shoulders her M4 and puts the sight on one of their heads and fires one round and then quickly aiming and shooting the next all before the first casing Hit the ground. Glimmer scoffs "show off." she mumbles
Catra moves up to a small shack and hears a TV playing inside talking about Al-fulani getting executed (Poor bastard) she thought to herself. She sees the shadows of two soldiers she quickly rounds the corner and fires a short burst hitting them both with a short spray of blood then they hit the wood floors with a dull 'thud'. Catra moves outside "Guards are down we can move up." she says over comms moving back into the water following adora upstream. Adora moves under a bridge and holds up a fist "Hold here vehicles up above." Catra crouches down and listens as the rumble of trucks pass the bridge over head, after a minute they fade off and Adora waves them forward "Alright they're gone, Glimmer take point." Glimmer nods "Yes Ma'am." Glimmer moves up out of the river near a shack on the bank and spots two shadows inside and a man in a chair further up the hill "Two contacts in the first guard House, one guy sleeping further up the hill unknown in the other guard House." Glimmer calls over comms. Catra takes aim at the soldier in the chair "I'll keep eyes on him, get the two in that house." Glimmer nods and stacks up at the door and quickly rounds the corner firing a round and hitting the first guy in the head splattering blood and brains on the second guy, she quickly takes a follow up shot taking him down with another well placed headshot.
"Two down." Glimmer says over comms Catra acknowledges and silently moves up the hill going up the steps to the porch nearing the soldier she pulls out her knife and grasps her hand over his mouth as she plunges the knife into his neck, he awakes with struggle but as a stream of blood steadily grows from his neck and spills on the floor he goes limp and she puts him silently on the ground sheathing her knife and pulling out her rifle she hears a soldier approach the door "Алексей, что это был за шум, ты в порядке?" he calls out to the guard, he rounds the corner only to be met with a bullet to the head, he jerks back from the impact hitting the door frame, another soldier inside sees it. "Ебена мать!" Catra aims her rifle and fires a steady line of rounds through the wall, she hears a thud of a body hitting the floor she checks the room, yep three rounds to the chest. Catra says over radio "Three down you can move up."
Adora moves up the hill spotting Catra standing over a body she approaches her "You've got something right... there" she says as she wipes away some blood from her knife kill. Adora realized how close she was to her and stepped away and quickly said "Um... good kills... Move up, the loyalists should be past the house up ahead." and she moves ahead taking point into the house. Catra stands there for a second trying to calm herself, she comes to and sees Glimmer looking at her with a smirk. Catra ignores her and moves into the house clearing it and stacking up with adora and Glimmer on the rear door. Adora opens the doors slowly scanning the field in front of them, she walks out with Catra and Glimmer fanning out behind her she stops
"Glim, smell that?"
"Yeah, Scorpia."
Glimmer looks out at the field. Catra hears something out in the field and sees a woman step out with their rifle above her head dressed in a Russian army uniform and a ushanka, they walk up to Adora "Welcome to the new Russia, Captain Adora." she says while waving some soldiers over who just came out of the bushes.
"What's the target scorpia? We've got a soldier to save."
"Right yeah... The ultranationalists have BM-21s on the other side of the hill, Their rockets have killed hundreds of civilians in the valley below." She explains pointing over the hill to their right, She tells her soldiers to move ahead and begins to move with them. Adora grabs her shoulder and turns her around "Not so fast, remember Beirut your with us." she thinks for a moment "hm i guess... i owe you one." Glimmer moves past her "bloody right you do."
Catra follows behind glimmer up the hill over the radio she hears Scorpia "Up here there's a place where your sniper can cover my men." They move slowly along a cliff side road until they find a broken fence with some bushes as concealment, scorpia joins issuing some orders to her soldiers "Спускайтесь с холма, Бородин из пулемета прикрывает остальную команду, выходите." she looks at Catra "Use your sniper to cover the infiltration team, then we'll move along this cliff to flank them while they are distracted in the village proper." Adora nods at her and Catra pulls out her M21 and sets it on the fence scoping in the two guards conversing out side a house, she breaths in and out to steady her aim and fires hitting the first in the head, the other guard grabs his rifle looking for the shooter before he's hit in the chest dropping him to the ground Scorpia observes with binoculars then announces over the radio "All units, commence the attack."
Several explosion Hit in the village one of them striking a BM-21 cooking off the rockets inside. Russian troops move in but are pinned down my Machine gun fire. Adora notices "Catra, take out the machine gunners in the window so Scorpia's men can storm the building. Catra scopes them in hitting one in the head, he drops to the floor. The second gun continues, there is a wall blocking Catras' view, she predicts where his head is and shoots. The protruding gun jerks back then falls to the ground. "Nice shots." Adora compliments, the moments cut short by three Helicopters flying over head toward the village. Scorpia spots them "Damn! Enemy Helicopters."
"You didn't say there would be helicopters Scorpia." Adora says annoyed
"I didn't say there wouldn't be any either. We need to protect my men from those helicopter troops. This way!" Scorpia responds then heads down the cliff path towards a house. Adora follows with her team following her "Make it quick Scorpia, i need that soldier alive."
"You have nothing to worry about. We'll take out the BM-21s and carve a path straight to your informant Captain Adora."
After moving through the house they come out to a small field with a power station over looking it and helicopter hovering above it. Glimmer points out movement "Ma'am we've got company! helicopter troops moving in and lots of em!."
Catra moves over and rests her rifle on the hood of a wrecked car putting in a fresh magazine, she looks to her left seeing Scorpia conversing with someone in Russian on a closed channel most likely her troops. Glimmer takes up position behind a large boulder and Adora near a small shack. Glimmer looks at scorpia then talks over a closed channel to adora "We should just beat it out if her." Adora shakes her head and responds "No, it's not off the table but I'd rather not beat up our allies." Catra wonders what is glimmers problem with Scorpia.
Catra sees the troops leave the power station and split up into two squads, she flips off the safety on her M203 Grenade launcher and fires a shot angling it over cover and exploding killing one soldier and sending another flying over their makeshift barrier. She quickly opens the tube and shoves in another round and closes it before flipping the safety on again.
Scorpia shoulders her AKM and fires some bursts at the second squad taking out two of them dropping them before they get into cover. They return fire making Scorpia duck behind the car.
Glimmer takes a few shots at the remaining three soldiers of squad one suppressing them before quickly moving up to a second boulder prepping a frag grenade and throwing it over the barrier. The enemy soldiers fumble to run or even throw the grenade back but it explodes killing two and the other is dazed he's quickly dealt with from a headshot by glimmer.
Adora shoulders her M4 and fires at the soldiers suppressing Scorpia and Catra, she hits two in the chest and the third drops behind cover before he can get hit.
The final soldier tries to make a run for it but is hit in head from glimmer who somehow made it behind him.
Scorpia runs over to the fence at the side of the cliff "Captain Adora, my men have run into heavy resistance. Help me support them from the cliffs!" she calls over at them. "What about the soldier? he's running out of time and we need him alive." Adora says. Scorpia looks at her "Then help us! the further my men can get into this village the closer we'll be to finding your soldier!"
Adora begrudgingly nods at Catra and she pulls out her M21 again looking over the side of the cliff, seeing a BMP in the street firing at loyalists at the end of road and sees three snipers pinning down the loyalists Anti-Tank team. She aims in and takes three consecutive shots hitting them all in the chest seeing them all drop she throws her rifle over her shoulder taking out her M4 once more. Shortly after the snipers were killed a rocket was fired and the BMP was taken out the loyalists advancing deeper into the village. "Good! now we are making progress. Follow me to the power station."
The team follows Scorpia up the hill to the station and they come to an overlook and Scorpia takes out her binoculars and observes the battle below "Look, the final assault has already begun. With a little more of your sniper support we are sure to be victorious." Glimmer looks agitated and looks at Adora... Adora nods at her.
"Captain Adora, I need to--" Scorpia is cut off by glimmer pushing her near the edge dangling her over the side. "Enough sniping! Where is the prisoner?!" She's silent
"Where is he?"
"The house... the house northeast end of the village!" she coughs out. Glimmer pulls her back up "Well that wasn't so hard was it? Now go sit in the corner" Scorpia pushes her away and walks away.
Adora looks at Scorpia with a bit of remorse but quickly focuses "Catra, Glim. We've got to reach that house before anything happens to the prisoner. Let's go!" and she hooks up a rope to the cliff.
Glimmer follows her lead and hooks up a rope repelling down. Catra glances at Scorpia who's using her binoculars to observe her troops "If it means anything, Sorry. We really need him alive." Scorpia smiles a little "It's alright, i shouldn't have kept you from your goal. Until we meet next Comrade." and she nods at her, Catra nods back and repells down quickly moving up to a wall to observe (Open field with machine guns covering it, shit... wait, there's a open spot to the left) She hops over the wall weaving in between loyalist troops trading fire with the ultranationalist troops. She flanks around a BM-21 and moves into a house, she sees two soldier running through a door on the far side she sees them and fires an automatic burst and hits them in the chest, they both drop to the ground. She walks past them and glances at one who's still alive barely and blood pooling around him, she looks away and fires a round in his head. She then moves up silently taking out the machine gunners that were keeping the loyalists pinned. After she clears through the house she meets Adora and Glimmer in the back moving up to the house on the hill, Glimmer sees her "Good work on those machine guns, how many kills was that 5-6?" Adora glances back at them "Stop counting your kills like your fucking psychopaths! This is a mission let's get it done. Bloody hell he my still be alive let's move!" Glimmer looks stunned then nods Catra mumbles a 'sorry'
Catra stacks up with Adora. "Glimmer go around back and cut the power. Catra get your NVGs on." Glimmer nods and moves around back, Catra flips down her night vision goggles. A second later the lights in the house cut off and Adora and Catra move in, Adora sees a soldier holding the wall looking around "Бородин? что случилось с властью?" Adora shoots him in the head spraying blood on the wall and she moves past the body. Catra takes point on the next room spotting a soldier moving along the wall holding a pistol in his hand "Алексей?" She fires a round into his head making it jerk back and he drops to the floor. She sees and moves up a set of stairs, she sees a soldier in the corner pointing a pistol around in the darkness, she shoots him making him drop the pistol. A soldier hiding behind a table fires blindly in the direction of the sound almost hitting Catra before he's taken out by glimmer who entered the house from the back. Catra moves up and sees a door opening and she quickly fires a burst into it making the soldier slump forward and hit the ground, she sees a open room and moves in seeing the prisoner. She gets to the doorway and it blinded by a soldier with a flashlight holding a pistol she blindly fires a burst in front of her hitting him multiple times. She quickly flips up her NVGs and rubs her eyes.
Adora points at the prisoner "Glim, get him I'll check Catra." She walks over and puts a hand on her shoulder "You okay?" Catra rubs her eyes once more and looks at her "y-yea I'm okay, just blinded me for a bit. I didn't hit the prisoner did i?" Adora looks at Glimmer who gives a thumbs up "No, he's okay let's get out of here." she walks over to Seahawk who has some bloody bandages over his arm and body with a bruised face "Can you walk?" He looks up at her "Yes I'm hurting but they didn't touch my mustache so I can still fight." Adora looks confused "o-okay let's get you out of here." she calls over the radio "Big Bird this is Bravo Six. We have the package. Meet us at LZ one. Over." she hands Seahawk a AK74-U, he nods at her. "Bravo Six this is Big Bird. We're on our way. Out." Adora moves outside with her team and Seahawk and she sees the Black Hawk landing in the field to the south.
Adora climbs aboard with Catra sitting opposite of her and glimmer and Seahawk on the other side sitting opposite of each other. Seahawk nudges Adoras arm "Have the Americans already attacked Al-Asad?" Adora shakes her head "No, their invasion begins in a few hours! Why?"
"The Americans are making a mistake. They will never take Al-Asad alive."
Catra wonders how much sleep she can get before they reach Germany.
