Day of prom:
Piper:
School had never been weirder. Even though it was the last day, and the night of prom, things were more unusual than ever because her thoughts kept flicking back to a certain blond. And she didn't mean Annabeth.
Tomorrow was Piper's birthday and she was not excited. She would have to pack the rest of the dorm room in the morning with the girls, and then Percy, Annabeth, Jason, and herself would meet with Anthony so they could get on his jet and fly to Kansas.
Piper wasn't supposed to know about the "birthday party", and would have to act surprised in front of her parents when she got to her childhood home.
During their final hour in school, in Piper's history class, was when she was handed her diploma. It was in a thin folder, so very thin, the only things in there were the certificate of completion and some other awards she won throughout the year.
Funny how a piece of paper held so much weight in the world. Figuratively, of course.
Jason and Leo were the only ones out of their friend group in that same last class of the day, so they were together when they were handed their folders.
They agreed beforehand that they'd all go to their dorms after school to do some more packing, then an hour or so before it began, they'd begin getting ready for prom.
At that moment, Piper was sighing as she glanced at her empty suitcase. She had so much to do, but she couldn't keep her mind off of Jason, or her eyes off of her new wedding bands. Annabeth and Thalia bustled around, focused, for once, on getting their packing done.
Annabeth, folding a shirt onto a pile on her bed, glanced up at Piper, standing in the middle of the room, staring at her left hand.
Annabeth chuckled as she glanced at the ring. "It's so pretty," she said.
Piper blinked at her, "Yeah."
"Jason on your mind?" She asked with a smirk.
Piper blushed and nodded, opening her dresser to finally start taking out her clothes. Their prom dresses were all laid out on Thalia's bed with their respective accessories next to them. Thalia herself was busy putting their few kitchen supplies away.
Annabeth stood next to her at her bed, refolding Piper's messy stacks of clothes into neater piles. "You still haven't given us any details. You know, details." Annabeth whispered, a sly smile tilting her lips up.
Piper blushed again, swallowing. "Um, you know, it was, um, amazing."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, "Yeah? Amazing how? Tell me! Did you guys do anything?"
"Uh, Reyna came by and paid us a visit."
Piper kept folding, not faltering when she noticed Annabeth freeze beside her. "What?"
Piper jumped at the venom in her sister's tone. "It was really quick, and Jason kicked her out almost right away."
"What do you mean 'almost'? What did she say?"
"She very clearly expressed her unhappiness with Jason's new marital status."
"That bitch," Annabeth hissed.
"Who?" Thalia asked as she walked in, wiping sweat from her brow.
"Reyna," Annabeth practically spit.
"Do I need to kill her?"
"No!" Piper said quickly.
"Yes!" Shouted Annabeth.
Piper rolled her eyes. "Just drop it. It's fine. Jason made sure she understood that she needs to stay away from us. Trust me, she won't come near him. And we had a good time together. I had a good time," Piper finished softly.
Annabeth smiled tenderly, her anger forgotten. "You really are in love," she said as Thalia fake gagged.
Annabeth threw a pillow at her as they all laughed.
"I don't want to paint my nails!" Piper shouted.
"You have to!" Annabeth wailed back.
"No, Annabeth. I don't like nail polish. If I put it on it'll be chipped off before we get to the ballroom downstairs."
Thalia snorted as she shed her clothes, uncaring of her nakedness in front of the two girls, "She's probably right."
"Well, you have to at least put on makeup, Pipes," Annabeth looked very well near tears.
"No, absolutely not," She replied with finality, satisfied when Annabeth huffed in response, dropping it.
"And your hair?"
"Will stay down." Piper's voice was firm as she took her dress into the bathroom.
"Fine," was all she heard before she closed the door with a chuckle.
Piper looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't look different after losing her virginity. She thought maybe she'd notice something had changed, but no. Well, her eyes did look different. They looked brighter. Happier.
She felt complete. And that was what really mattered, right?
Piper took off her clothes, piece by piece until she stood naked in the small bathroom she had used the past few years, her soft, brown curls tumbling down her back.
She nearly jumped out of her skin when the door opened, first calming down then quickly flushing when Jason closed the door, his darkened gaze never once leaving her.
She swallowed as her eyes traveled up and down his body, clad in a suit that fit his broad frame perfectly.
Wordlessly, he stepped behind her, his arm snaking around her bare front as he pressed his clothed chest to her naked back. He buried his face in her neck, his chest rising with a deep inhale as Piper relaxed against him, her heart pounding erratically beneath her ribcage.
He lifted his head, pressed a kiss to her neck, then began to dress her. The moment felt oddly intimate, the silence louder than ever.
She stepped into her dress, standing still as he pulled it up her body, slipping the straps over to rest on her shoulders, then adjusted the golden fabric cuffs on her biceps. Jason zipped up her dress, his eyes never leaving hers through the mirror. He picked up the golden chain that was left on the counter, wrapped it around her, just underneath her breasts, and clipped it at the back.
Jason ran his hands along her hips, and Piper let out a long breath before turning around and resting her forehead on his chest.
His chin rested on the top of her head as his arms came around her, pulling her body even closer to his.
Jason kissed her temple. "I love you more than anything in this entire universe, Pipes. You're my world," he murmured.
She glanced up at him, their faces inches apart, lips a centimeter away. "I love you, too, Jason. So much that sometimes I feel like I can't breathe without you," she whispered, swallowing.
He cupped her cheek in one of his palms, gazing at her tenderly as he finally closed the distance between their lips, their mouths meeting in a soft kiss.
"Sleep in my bed tonight; we'll kick Percy out if we have to," he murmured against her lips.
Piper nodded, knowing in her heart she'd never say no to being close to him
"Okay."
