Final Chapter

*This chapter is super long. I have picked it up and put it down so many times. I just decided to just put it out. Years late, but it's here.

It's the morning after Jason and Brenda decided to get back together.

It's Saturday and all the Q's are home.

They are having breakfast.

Brenda decided to join them.

She was sick of being cooped up in that room.

She is sitting in her usual spot, across from Jason.

Jacob is sitting in his high chair next to Monica.

Monica wiped Jacob's mouth. "How are you feeling, Brenda?"

"I feel fine. I'm still trying to get my strength back. I think I need to get out more. Maybe I'll take a stroll through the garden after breakfast?"

"A little walking won't hurt. Just take your time. Are you still sore?"

"Just a little."

Edward blew on his coffee and took a sip. "Jason, we haven't seen your fiancee in a while. Where is Emma? Is she working a lot again?"

Brenda looked across the table at Jason.

He must have felt her looking because his eyes went instantly to her. "I might as well tell you all, so that you won't be asking questions, I'm no longer engaged to or dating Emma."

They all looked at each other, shock written all over their faces.

Even Brenda was a little shocked. She wasn't expecting him to just blurt it out.

Monica had no clue they had broken up but that explains last night, when she walked into Brenda's room and saw Jason in bed with her. "When did this happen?"

"The day Brenda woke up."

Edward shook his head.

He wasn't surprised. "Emma is a nice girl, but I don't think you would have been happy with her."

Monica stopped feeding Jacob. "That is so rude."

"Oh hush, it's the truth and you know it too. I suspect Jason only said yes to that public proposal, because he didn't want to humiliate her."

Jason didn't deny it, but he wasn't done with what he wanted to say.

He continued. "I think you should also know that Brenda and I have decided to get back together."

Edward leaned back in his chair. "I hope you two can get it right this time."

AJ smiled. "Good, you two belong together. Glad you finally realized it. This is a load off my mind. The whole thing has been stressing me out."

Lila didn't say anything.

She just smiled.

She knew things would work out. She didn't know how, especially after Jason got engaged, but she still held out hope.

She also agreed with Edward.

Emma was a nice young lady, but she was not for Jason.

She always knew he was still in love with Brenda.

It was Alan's turn to chime in. "Sometimes it takes something awful to happen, to make us realize what means the most to us."

Jason looked across the table at Brenda because he agreed…

Brenda and Jason are walking through the garden.

"Your family took everything well."

"It wouldn't have mattered if they didn't. It wasn't going to change anything."

She grinned. "There are times when Jason Quartermaine makes an appearance, this is not one of those times."

Jason shrugged. "I care about my family, but that doesn't mean they get to dictate how I live my life."

Her smile faded. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

They stopped walking and looked at each other.

He nodded. "Yes, I'm positive."

"I just don't want you to feel like you have to do this. I would not be upset if you decided that you just got caught up in everything, and you made a mistake."

"Brenda, I am where I want to be. That's with you."

"But Jason, you were so happy with Emma. I saw the two of you together and I don't think you were faking it."

"Being with Emma was easy. We've…Brenda, we have had a lot of challenges."

She looked down. "Yeah, I know."

"Brenda, you drive me crazy sometimes."

"I don't mean to."

"That's up for debate."

"I really don't, Jason. I just don't think sometimes and end up making crazy decisions."

He smiled. "I know. You are just spoiled. You like things your way and when you don't get your way, you make those crazy decisions."

"I've tried to change."

"I know and it hasn't gone unnoticed. I love who you are, so don't change too much."

"Only the bad parts."

"Yeah, the part that makes you want to run off and get married to other people."

She rolled her eyes. "Ok. Jason."

"Being with Emma was easy but that doesn't equal love. You make me feel things, no one ever has, I doubt ever will." He touched her cheek. "I think it's time for you to go back inside. You look pale."

"If I'm pale, it's because I'm still in shock."

"You'll get used to us again."

"I know, it's just going to take some time. I honestly thought we were done forever and now….here we are."

"Brenda, it was never about whether I loved you or not. I have never stopped loving you."

"I honestly thought you had, and well, you know how I feel about you. I couldn't even congratulate you on your engagement...without falling apart. I tried, but I just couldn't hold it together."

"All of that is irrelevant now."

"Jason, I'm really happy we are back together, but I don't like hurting Emma."

"Me either, but us being apart is not an option. She deserves better than what I have to offer. She should marry someone that loves her more than anyone in the world."

Brenda smiled. "You love me more than anyone in the world?"

"Almost, there is Jacob."

She laughed.

"Now, let's get you back inside."

He scooped her up.

"Jason, I can walk."

"I know, but I want to carry you."

"It still feels weird being in your arms again."

"Maybe I should keep holding you until it feels less weird?"

"OK."

He laughed.

She looked into his eyes. "It feels weird but it feels right. I missed you."

She leaned her head against his chest and he carried her back up to the house….

Brenda went home a week later.

Jason returned with her and practically moved back in.

She honestly wasn't sure what his plans were at first.

She didn't want to pressure him, so she didn't say anything.

She was pleasantly surprised when he brought his things inside of her house.

She was a little emotional too.

She tried her best to hide it.

There was also a big possibility that he was just staying until she was better.

She still liked having him there, for however long….

Brenda is standing inside of her closet, leaning up against the wall, watching Jason put his clothes away.

She wanted to help but he wouldn't let her.

He didn't want her overdoing it.

She slid down the wall and sat down on the floor.

"I never thought I'd see your clothes hanging up in this closet again. Jason, I told myself I would not bring this up, but I just have to know. How long are you staying?"

"As long as you want me to."

"I want you...forever."

He stopped what he was doing and joined her on the floor. "I think I can manage that, but forever is a long time."

"Still not long enough." She caressed his cheek. "Thanks for staying by my side throughout everything."

"You don't have to thank me."

"Yes, I do. I don't take it for granted, because you didn't have to."

"Yeah, I did."

"No, Jason, you did not."

"Don't argue with me. Yes, I did. I think you would have done the same for me."

"That would have been hard, because you had a girlfriend. I didn't have anyone. I wonder what Emma was thinking watching you camp out by my bed all of those days? That must have been hard."

"I was so worried about you, I didn't have time to care. I don't mean to sound cold, but you were in bad shape. I think she understood the seriousness of it all, but it did lead to her asking me if I was in love with you."

"When did she ask you that?"

"The day you woke up, after we left."

"And that's what led to the two of you breaking up?"

"Yes, I just didn't want to lie to her. I didn't want to lie to myself anymore. It was hard leaving the hospital that day, but you practically kicked me out."

"I just thought you needed time with Emma."

"I needed time with you. I love you so much, Brenda."

She smiled. "I don't think I will ever get tired of you saying that. And I love you so much, Jason."

She leaned over and kissed him.

She moved into his lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and rested her head against his chest.

"Jason, I want this time to stick."

She lifted her head and looked into his eyes. "We have broken up so many times. I don't think I can take another one."

"You think I can? Every breakup was just as hard on me. I don't care how I seemed, I was not fine. It's the reason that I acted the way I did after our last breakup, or whatever that was. After you decided to stay with Jax. I couldn't keep doing it. I just had to end it. If I didn't I was going to go down a dark path. Brenda, we just have to communicate. We have to discuss our feelings. No games, just say what's on our minds."

"I agree."

He looked over at the clothes he had left.

He kissed the top of her head. "Let's go to bed. I'll finish tomorrow…"

They are lying in bed, her head resting on his chest.

"I could listen to your heart beating forever."

They still had not made love.

In fact, neither mentioned it since that night at the Quartermaine's.

She assumed they were taking their time…reconnecting.

She also wasn't one hundred percent yet, no matter how much she tried to pretend like she was, she wasn't.

And Jason knew that.

Brenda looked up at Jason. "Are you happy?"

"No, I still haven't gotten over what happened to you. In fact, I'm really angry. Every time I see you grimace, I want to find that jerk and-"

"Jason, I don't want you to do anything. I don't want you getting in any trouble."

"I wouldn't."

"Just don't even take that chance. I'm fine. At least, I will be."

He ran his fingers through her hair.

She looked into his eyes. "Pinch me. I still can't believe this."

He gave her a quick kiss. "I'd rather kiss you."

"I just didn't think this was a possibility anymore. I can still remember the look on your face, the last time I told you that I wanted us back. You were so done."

"I was angry, Brenda. I also didn't trust you. I just couldn't keep doing what we were doing."

"Do you trust me now?"

"I believe that you would never do anything to hurt us again. I know, I wouldn't."

"I wouldn't, Jason. God, I was crushed watching you get engaged. All of the feelings I buried, resurfaced...and quickly."

"After everything that happened, you marrying Jax and choosing to stay, I should not have cared. I still hated seeing that look on your face. It was because I still loved you." He thought about what Emma said the day they broke up. "The heart definitely wants what it wants."

She placed her hand on his chest. "I owe your heart big time."

She snuggled up against him. "I missed you. I don't think you could ever know how much."

"Trust me, I know. Anything you felt, I felt it more."

"You hid it well."

"I think I just buried it like you did, and plus we were in a good place, well atleast on the surface."

"I like to think we were great actors." She looked up at him. "You know what, I think we should go on a date."

"A what?"

She repeated herself. "A date. It has been a long time since we have done anything together, without Jacob. You know as a couple?"

"That's because we haven't been a couple, but where would you like to go?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. I just want to hold your hand and go somewhere. Where would you like to go?"

"I have no idea."

"Dinner at a nice restaurant? Maybe Alexander's?"

Jason looked over at her. "No. Didn't you go there on your first date with that clown?"

"He is not a clown. Phillip is a very nice guy, but yes, I did. That shouldn't be a problem. I went there with Sonny and Jax too."

"Definitely, no."

"Jason, it really doesn't matter. I'm sure you have taken Emma and Katrina to places you have taken me. Port Charles is small, it's kind of hard to avoid it."

"To Mac's and Kelly's. Also, the usual bowling...movies."

She laughed. "You never took them to any restaurants in town?"

"No, they never wanted to go."

"Yes, they did, Jason. If you would have taken them, they would not have complained."

Jason knew she was probably right. "Ok, probably not."

"So, what did you do? No one wants to go to Kelly's and Mac's on every date."

"We stayed in."

Brenda rolled her eyes. "Oh, I don't need to hear anymore. I know you had sex with them, I don't need to hear about it."

"Brenda, I wasn't going to share details. Also, I'm sure you weren't just playing cards with Jax every night."

Brenda knew it was time to change the subject before things took a turn. "Jason, I just want to spend time with you outside of this house. It doesn't have to be at a restaurant. It was just a suggestion."

"Since it was just a suggestion, maybe I can come up with something else?"

"It was my idea, maybe I could plan something?"

"No, I'm going to handle it. As soon as you are better, we'll do something."

She grinned. "Are we going to end up at the gun range?"

"What's wrong with that?"

"Jason, I don't want to go to the gun range."

"I'll plan something you'll like. I promise."

"I want you to enjoy it too."

"Well, let's go to the range. We could have a nice dinner there too. I could set something up. We could have the place all to ourselves."

She giggled. "I'm just trying to imagine having a candlelight dinner with the smell of gunpowder in the air? I would throw up."

He just shook his head and laughed…

It's the next morning.

Brenda woke up to the smell of bacon.

She stretched, got out of bed, and went into the bathroom.

A few minutes later she was standing in the kitchen.

Jason didn't see her at first, not until Jacob squealed.

Jacob was sitting on the floor playing with his toys and the dogs.

He looked up and saw her and let out the craziest noise.

Brenda laughed and got down on all fours. "Good morning, Jacob."

He jumped into her arms.

Jason stopped what he was doing. "Good morning."

She looked up at him. "Good morning."

He leaned down and planted a kiss on her lips. "How did you sleep?"

"With you back in my bed, great."

He grinned. "Breakfast will be ready in a minute…."

They ate breakfast, got dressed, and spent the rest of the day together.

They are outside.

Brenda and Jason are sitting on the porch, watching Jacob stumble around in the grass.

She grabbed his hand. "As much as I loved staying at your family's home, I am so happy that we are back here."

Jason agreed. "Me too. I like it when it is just us. That house has people everywhere."

Brenda smiled. "Yes, but I do miss the maids and Cook."

He laughed. "Yeah, me too."

Jacob continued to stumble across the yard, as they looked on.

"Jason, it seems like he was just learning to crawl, now he is actually walking. I remember he was only taking a couple of steps. Time waits for no one."

"No, it doesn't." He kissed the top of her head. "That's why we are done wasting it….."

Three weeks have passed and Brenda is feeling much better.

So much better, that she decided to take Jacob into town.

She had a couple of doctor's appointments during that time, but she returned home as soon as they were over…..

Brenda didn't plan on staying out too long, she didn't want to overdo it.

They visited the Quartermaines and stopped by Kelly's before heading back home.

She would always love Kelly's, because she spent so much time there when she was younger.

It was also her home for a while.

She was sitting at a table when Emma walked in.

Jacob was in his stroller next to her table.

She had not seen Emma since that night at the hospital.

She wouldn't blame her if she just walked right past her, without so much as a glance, but she didn't.

She walked right over to their table. "Hello, Brenda." She leaned down. "And Jacob…you are getting so big. Yes, you are. So big."

Emma stood up. "You look good, Brenda."

"I feel better, thanks. How have you been?"

"I have been doing ok. I'm happy I ran into you before I left."

Brenda was confused. "Before you left? Where are you going?"

"I'm moving back home."

Brenda didn't really know what to say. "Emma-"

Emma interrupted. "I never planned on staying before I met Jason. I just wanted to leave home for a while. You know, just to see what it felt like."

Brenda didn't believe that.

Emma was heartbroken.

She could see it in her eyes.

She should know, because she saw that same look in her own eyes, plenty of times, staring back at her in the mirror.

She wanted to say something.

She had to say something. "Emma, I'm sorry about how things ended."

"I'm not. I would never want to marry someone who didn't think I was their everything. To be honest, I should have known before he ever said a word. You know, he refused to leave your bedside. He was lost. I had never seen him like that. It was more than just caring about the mother of his child. It was beyond that."

Brenda didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry, Emma. I am really sorry."

"Stop apologizing, it's not your fault. I know you two were not running around behind my back."

"No, we were not. We were just friends and co parents. Nothing else."

Emma looked down at her feet. "You love him just as much as he loves you?"

Brenda didn't feel great saying it, but Emma deserved honesty. "I…do."

"He really is a great guy."

Brenda agreed. "He is the best."

"Treat him well."

"I…will."

Emma looked up and into Brenda's eyes. "I really wish you the best, Brenda. You, Jason, and Jacob."

Brenda could tell she was being sincere. "We wish the same for you."

Brenda stood up and they hugged…

It's later and Brenda is at home sitting next to Jason on the sofa.

Jacob was sitting on the floor playing.

"I ran into Emma today."

"Really?"

"Yes, I thought the first time I ran into her it would be awkward, but it wasn't."

"Of course not. She is not Katrina."

"You know she is going back to New York?"

Jason looked off. "That's not shocking. She didn't want to stay here forever."

"Have you talked to her?"

He looked over at Brenda. "No, why would I?"

"Because you two were so close."

"I don't think that's a good idea. We said all we needed to say."

"Do you miss her?"

"No."

"You can tell me the truth, Jason. I'm not going to get upset."

"Brenda, I don't miss her."

"Not even a little?"

"If I wanted Emma I would be with her."

"Yeah, but you really liked her."

"Brenda, stop reading romance novels. You are trying to create this angst in your head. I do not want or miss Emma."

"Jason, may I ask you a question?"

"As long as it doesn't have anything to do with Emma."

"No, it's concerning me."

"Ask away."

"Are you still attracted to me?"

Jason thought that was an odd question. "Yes, why?"

"Do you think I'm still attracted to you?"

"I don't know. Are you?"

She nodded. "Yes."

Jason had no idea where all of this was coming from. "Why did you ask me that?"

"Because we haven't had sex yet."

"Brenda, you were in a horrible accident and you were in a coma. It's only been a few weeks since you left the hospital. You were in bad shape. When it's time we'll be together."

"I feel better."

"So, you want to have sex now?"

"Well, not today. Aunt Flow is holding me prisoner."

"I know, but I can bust you out. If it's what you want?" He laughed. "All jokes aside, I'm still attracted to you and I meant what I said. I'm not in lust with you, I'm in love with you. This is enough for me."

"I want you to be in lust too."

He laughed. "I am but I love you more."

"Jason, when is our date?"

"Saturday."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, positive."

He had already changed the date a couple of times, mostly because he wanted to make sure she was well enough.

Today was the first time she actually left the house, and didn't have a doctor's appointment.

So, she understood the delay.

"Getting dressed up and going somewhere will be fun. Our first official date since we got back together."

"We've been having a lot of mini dates here."

"Yeah, but I want to put on clothes and leave the house. Are you ashamed to be seen with me?"

Jason smiled. "Yes, you really aren't that attractive. Seriously, it will be nice to see you getting ready for me. I had to watch you get ready for someone else. That was not fun."

"That was your fault, you didn't want me, but I never even kissed Phillip so that is irrelevant. You just watched me get ready for a date, I had to watch you in a whole relationship."

"I had to watch you in a whole marriage."

"Ok, you win."

He laughed. "I honestly had no right to be jealous when you started dating Phillip. Especially after turning you down. I had no right, but I was."

"I didn't let myself be jealous. I had to accept things for my own sanity and I really liked Emma. But then you got engaged, and I realized that I was definitely not over you."

"That didn't last long."

"Thanks to my accident."

"No, it would have ended regardless."

Jacob started rubbing his eyes and crying.

It was time for bed….

It's later and Jason has just slipped in bed next to Brenda. "What are we watching tonight?"

"Jason, I wish you would admit that you are going to miss Emma. It's ok. I am. I really liked her."

"Brenda, please let it go."

"I want you to feel like you can be honest with me. You miss her don't you?"

"Maybe she could move in with us?"

She lifted her head. "You are so funny."

"Ok, Brenda. I'll admit it. Yes, maybe a small part. She was a great person. We had some great times."

"I think you would be with her, if I wasn't in the picture."

"Probably, I don't know. I can't say that."

"I feel terrible, because she is such a good person. She was hurting, Jason. I could see it in her eyes."

"Brenda, do you want me to get back with Emma?"

"Only if it's what you really want."

He rolled his eyes. "God, Brenda. You still don't believe I really want you."

"Jason, you were just so convincing."

"Yeah, I was angry. I still loved you. I just didn't trust you. I didn't know if you were just playing those games that you played with Sonny and Jax. I was not going to be a part of that. I never will. You only married Jax to one up me. Don't deny it."

She didn't deny it because it was the truth.

She was angry with Jason when she married Jax.

"You're right."

"I know. Now, what are we watching tonight? If you don't answer, I am going to choose."

Brenda and Jason had movie night, every night, after putting Jacob to bed.

It was something they started by accident.

One night he chose a movie, then she chose the next night, and it just continued.

It was her night.

She smiled. "We are watching Sixteen Candles."

"Is it a chick flick?"

"I guess. Jason, you've heard of Sixteen Candles. It was really popular when we were younger."

He sat up and smiled. "Thanks to AJ, I forgot."

"Jason, that is not funny."

"There was a time when you would have said worse."

"I've changed."

He burst into laughter.

She grabbed the remote and started the movie…

Brenda stretched and turned off the television. "The ending always gets me. Did you like it?"

"I'm not sure. What exactly is it about?"

"It is one of the best teenage movies ever made and the ending is everything. Imagine having a crush on the most popular guy in school-"

"Sorry, I can't imagine that."

"Ha ha, of course not, because you were one of the most popular guys in school."

He grinned. "Was I?"

"Yes, and stop being sarcastic. Now listen, the most popular guy in school is dating the most beautiful girl in school-"

"In other words, I would be dating you."

"Actually, no. You didn't like me like that."

"Did you like me?"

"We were just friends and you know all of this. Jason, are you trying to get on my nerves?"

He laughed. "Yes."

"It worked because I forgot what I was going to say."

"You were telling me why you liked the movie."

"I just liked that the guy was waiting for her at the end, and they had cake on a huge table."

"You were going to say more than that."

"Yeah, but you ruined it."

He smiled. "I'm sorry."

"I forgive you." She snuggled up against him. "Just so you know, I want you to be waiting for me at the end, so that we can have cake together on a huge table. Even if it isn't my birthday."

"I wouldn't wait. I would come and get you."

"I remember a time when you would have walked the other way."

"I remember quite a few times."

They laughed.

She grinned. "I wonder if eventually we would have dated, even if you never had that accident? You have never been bad on the eyes, but that's not what made you wonderful or dateable. You were just a great person. Like I've said before, you are different now but in a lot of ways you are the same."

"It took you a while to see that, because you hated me after the accident."

"I missed my friend and you hated me too. You had his face but...I don't know. It was hard."

"I know, it was hard for me too. I know everybody wanted the old Jason back, but I wasn't that person anymore. I didn't even remember being him."

"I can't imagine what that must have been like for you. We were a bunch of strangers putting so much pressure on you. I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize."

"No, I really should. I was not nice to you, I wasn't even understanding. I was mean. I'm so sorry."

"You were nice at first, and I wasn't a choirboy. I was just as mean to you too. I was mean to my family and yet they still loved me."

Brenda agreed. "They did. I'm just so happy that all of those relationships have mended."

"Thanks to you. You could not stand me, but you loved my family more. You put the feelings that you had for me aside and got me to attend my grandmother's birthday dinner. It put us on the road to building real relationships."

"I love your family."

"I know."

She moved on top of him and buried her face into his neck. "Jason, you smell so good. I could just eat you up!"

She licked his neck.

He squirmed. "Do you want to be busted out of Aunt Flow jail? If not, don't do that."

She laughed and lifted her head. "Good night."

He kissed her. "Good night…"

Brenda gave Jacob a couple of toys to play with and sat down in the seat in front of Lucy's desk.

"Thanks for handling everything. I should be back soon."

"Take your time. Things are fine."

"I forgot to tell you, I ran into Emma."

Lucy's eyes got as big as saucers. "How did that go? Did she try to rip your hair out?"

"No, it wasn't like that. She was heartbroken. I could tell. I really felt bad for her."

Lucy nodded. "Of course, I feel bad for her. She is a very nice person. Brenda, it would not have worked out. Jason loves you. She deserves better."

"That's what she said. She also told me she was leaving town."

"She must be really heartbroken."

"She said she didn't plan on staying forever."

Lucy didn't believe that. "She would have stayed if Jason married her."

"Yeah, probably so."

"How are things going with you and Jason?"

"Fine."

Lucy grinned. "How many headboards have you two destroyed?"

Brenda shook her head, indicating none.

Lucy sat up. "Why not?! You are better."

Brenda shrugged. "I don't really have an answer. Jason said it is because I just got out of the hospital."

"It has been over a month!"

"I know."

"Have you tried to seduce him?"

"No."

"You sleep in the same bed?"

Brenda nodded. "Yes, we sleep in the same bed."

"What do you do? Just sleep?"

"Yeah, we watch movies every night and talk a lot."

Lucy shrugged. "So, you are just reconnecting."

"Yeah, or maybe deep down he is still upset with me?"

"For marrying Jax?"

"Yes."

"I don't believe that. I don't think he would be with you if he didn't really want you. Maybe the accident freaked him out? Maybe he is scared he'll hurt you or something?"

Brenda smiled. "I wish he would."

They laughed.

As usual, Lucy tried to reassure her. "I'm sure things will change. I think it will as soon as he isn't as freaked out anymore. Seeing you in that bed, not moving, was a shock to us all. I have this overwhelming urge to wrap you in bubble wrap."

"I'm fine, Lucy."

"I know, it's just hard to get that image out of my head. I'm sure he is having that same problem."

"I'm ok, Lucy. I'm not one hundred percent, but I'm getting there. You know, maybe you're right, because he seems happy. We are going on a date Saturday. We haven't done that in a very long time." She giggled. "I'm acting like a teenager who is going on her first date. I sleep with the man every night.."

"There is nothing wrong with being excited. Especially, when you thought it was over forever."

"I still can't believe it sometimes. I'm so looking forward to our date. It's been a long time since we have been out together. Just us and like that. We haven't been a couple in so long. Jacob is only here because of one night."

Lucy leaned back "It really has been a long time. Brenda, just have fun. Don't try to overthink things, because you do that a lot."

She nodded. "I do, don't I?'

Lucy looked over her shoulder. "Hello, Jax."

Brenda turned in her seat. "Hi."

He smiled. "Hi. This is a nice surprise."

He walked over to where she was sitting and she stood up, they embraced.

"You look great."

Her eyes roamed over him. "Thanks, so do you. As usual."

Jax looked impeccable in his custom designer suit.

No one can wear a suit like Jax.

He turned his attention towards Jacob.

Lucy took that moment to excuse herself, leaving them alone.

"He has gotten so big."

Brenda nodded. "I'm afraid to blink, he is going to be a teenager before I know it."

Jax laughed. "Let him start potty training first. So, tell me, how have you been feeling?"

"Much better. I miss this place."

"Brenda, you need to take your time. Don't rush, we have it covered."

"You and Lucy are just struggling without me. Just go ahead and admit it."

Jax smiled. "Yes, we really are."

She grinned. "I knew it. Jax, I also want to thank you for being there for me, while I was in the hospital."

"Where else would I have been?"

"I don't know, not with the ex-wife that cheated on you."

"Brenda, I will always care about you. Nothing could ever change that."

"Me too, Jax. Nothing and no one will ever change the way I feel about you."

"By no one, you are referring to Jason. I know he blames me for the marriage."

"He blames me too."

"But he hates me. It doesn't matter, I dislike him too." He looked at Jacob. "He should have been mine. I would have given you both the world."

Brenda didn't really know what to say, but she had to say something. "I'm sorry, Jax."

He looked at her. "Me too. You and Jason are back together?"

She nodded.

Jax sighed. "I dislike the guy, but he is better than that career criminal Sonny. At least, Jason walked away from that life. I wouldn't want you and Jacob in any danger."

"Me either, but enough about me and my life, are you dating anyone?"

He shook his head. "No, just a date every now and then."

"You'll find someone. She'll be better than I ever was to you."

"Maybe, but not better for me."

"Jax, you don't know that."

"I do, Brenda. I have always been the happiest with you. I'm not some schoolboy that can't get over a crush. I've dated enough to know what I'm talking about and we had a good marriage. I should have never brought you back here."

Jax looked off. "But maybe I should not have married you so quickly. I should have probably waited until you had gotten over Jason. I don't know."

"Jax, you didn't do anything wrong. You just loved me and I took advantage of that."

"Maybe we both were in the wrong?"

"Me more than you."

Jax smiled. "Stop trying to make me feel better." His smile faded. "I love you, Brenda. I will always love you. If it had not been for bad timing, I think we would have been great together."

At that moment Lucy walked in.

Jax said his goodbyes and left.

Lucy sat down. "He looked sad."

"He is still not over what happened. I hate that I hurt him, Lucy. He didn't deserve it. I really care about him."

"I know."

Brenda looked at Jacob. "I just didn't go about things the correct way. I never entered our relationship without baggage. I was always fresh out of other situations. He deserved so much better."

"Brenda, Jax knew what he was getting into. He is a very smart man."

"Yeah, but still."

"Are you going to leave Jason for him?"

Brenda's eyes widened. "Of course not."

"Well, stop thinking about the past and look towards the future. You can't change a thing. Nothing you can do is going to make Jax feel better, besides leaving Jason. And he would take you back. In a heartbeat."

Brenda agreed. "I guess you are right."

Lucy leaned back in her chair and smiled. "Tell me, how does it feel to have three men in love with you?"

"Lucy, I feel terrible about how things went down with Jax. I'm not concerned with Sonny and his love. His love sent me to a packed church and didn't bother showing up. The only love I'm focused on is Jason's…..."

Jason climbed the stairs and knocked on the apartment door.

He heard some fumbling inside and then the locks.

Seconds later the door swung open.

Emma smiled. "Hi."

He returned her smile. "Hi…"

It's later and Brenda and Jason are in the kitchen preparing dinner.

Jacob was sitting on the floor playing with Sam and Jack.

Jason was quieter than normal.

"Jason, are you ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

"You are not acting fine. You have hardly said a word."

He stopped what he was doing and looked at her. "I stopped by Emma's today."

"Ok."

Jason continued. "She stopped by the mansion to say her goodbyes, before leaving town. Monica called and told me. She thought I'd want to know. After thinking about it, I decided that I should go see her before she left, just to say goodbye. I just decided that it was the right thing to do. We were in a relationship for a while. You understand right?"

Brenda nodded. "Of course."

"I don't want to keep anything from you. You were right she is really hurting. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I didn't want to hurt her, Brenda. If I'm acting different, it's just that I feel like crap right now."

"Are you rethinking things?"

"Brenda, no. That's not what this is about. I just feel terrible because I hurt a very good person."

"I understand."

"I only stayed for a few minutes. It seemed like I was making it worse. In fact she said that it was hard seeing me. I apologized again, we hugged, I wished her well, and left."

"Thanks for telling me. I'm sorry she is hurting. I've been there before, quite a few times, it is not fun."

Jason sighed and leaned up against the counter. "I just don't like to be the cause of anyone's pain, especially a person that didn't deserve it. She was really the perfect girlfriend."

"Unlike me."

"I didn't mean it that way. I'm just pointing out that she didn't deserve what she got. She didn't do anything wrong. She deserved better than me."

Brenda sighed. "Look, I get it. I felt the same way about Jax."

Jason gave her a death stare, turned around, and started back chopping.

"It is the same thing, Jason. He treated me well too."

"I don't want to talk about him. I just wanted you to know that I stopped by Emma's, that's it."

She decided to just let it go. "Again, thanks for telling me.…."

After dinner, Jason left.

He decided to go into town and have a couple of drinks at Mac's.

"Is this seat taken?"

Jason looked to his right and saw Carly standing there.

She was still wearing her scrubs.

He pretended to wipe down the seat and she sat down.

"Jason, what are you doing here this late?"

"Drinking."

She laughed. "Where is Brenda?"

"She is at home. She is fine."

"Are you fine?"

He shrugged. "I'm good."

"You don't seem good."

Jason didn't really share a lot but he felt like sharing that night. "I stopped by Emma's to say goodbye...before she left, and...she is just really having a hard time."

Carly could have told him that. She'd seen Emma around the hospital. "Of course she is, she loves you."

"I know."

"You haven't changed your mind have you? Because that would be a colossal mis-"

Jason interrupted. "No, I just hated seeing her like that, and nothing could make me change my mind."

"Emma will be fine. Time will heal her."

Jason nodded. "I don't know why it never dawned on me that she would want more one day. I mean, it makes sense. She is that type. I messed up, Carly. I always knew I loved Brenda. I just didn't trust her."

"What's done is done. You were good to her while you were together, she'll be fine. Time will heal her, Jason."

"Don't try to make me feel better."

"It's the truth. Emma will be fine. It would have been worse if you married her."

"I was never going to do that."

"Getting your heart broken is never great but eventually you get over it….."

Brenda looked out of the window, then got back into bed.

Jason had been gone for a few hours.

She wondered where he ran off to, and most importantly what he could possibly be thinking?

Maybe that he made a mistake?

Maybe he really loves Emma and today realized it?

They were together for almost two years.

She heard his bike coming up the road.

She started to pretend like she was asleep, but changed her mind.

She wasn't in the mood to play games.

Let's just get this over with.

She heard the front door open and close.

He must have taken the stairs two at a time, because it seemed like the door just closed, and he was already walking into the bedroom.

He was in the process of taking off his jacket when he walked in.

He threw it on the rocking chair, leaned down, gave her a quick kiss, and started talking about needing to take a shower.

Brenda was half listening.

Seconds later she heard the shower.

She sat there waiting for him to come back, mentally preparing herself for whatever it was he had to say.

Ten minutes later he appeared, wearing only a pair of boxers.

He slid in next to her and pulled her close.

"Jason, where did you go?"

"To Mac's."

"To drown your sorrows?"

"I don't know about that. Maybe to see if I felt better after a couple? Less like a jerk."

"Jason, you are not a jerk."

"I feel like one."

She sat up and turned her body towards him. "Look, if you feel like you made a mista-"

He was really getting annoyed. "I. did. not. make. a. mistake. We could never be a mistake. Brenda, please...please don't make this more than what it is."

She took a deep breath and blew it out. "Put yourself in my shoes. What would you think?"

"Brenda, you know how I feel about you. I meant every word. You shouldn't think anything. You don't know how much I love you? You can't feel it?"

"I know you love me, Jason, but you were with Emma for a while. I know you had real feelings for her."

He sat up and placed her hands in his. "There is no woman that means more to me than you. Let's go ahead and get that out of the way. You are the one that makes me feel complete. When I'm with you, I never feel like something is missing. I just felt terrible because I hurt a nice person. It bothered me. We are fine. I need for you to start believing in us, Brenda."

"I'm trying, Jason. But I am human."

"Don't just try. Do it."

"Jason, I'm not trying to look for drama. I am not trying to add unnecessary angst. I know this isn't a romance novel. All I know is, you were in a very real relationship for a long time. You had real feelings for her. We had a horrible breakup and a brief reconciliation or whatever you want to call it, but it ended before it began. I hurt you and you were done with me. I don't care what you said. It just so happens I was in an accident, and that changed your mind. Maybe you just got caught up in the moment and made a rush decision? Jason, if you feel that way, I promise you, as I've said countless times, I will understand. I love you, but I don't want you to stay with me for the wrong reasons."

"Brenda, there is no other place I would rather be. Look, I felt terrible because I thought Emma was fine with everything. I had not even thought much about her since the break up, because I was so happy we were back together, but when I actually saw her and how she really was, it bothered me. I felt like a selfish jerk. Brenda, you asked if I missed Emma, I didn't. I missed you. There were times when I missed you so much, it was hard to even sleep at night. Emma would be sleeping next to me, and I would be thinking about you. I would be thinking about how you felt in my arms, the way you looked in the mornings, how you would intertwine your body with mine, just so we could be as close as possible. I used to think about how beautiful you looked while sleeping. I even missed how you used to wake me up in the mornings, kissing me all over my face. I missed everything about you. I know we still saw each other, but it was not the same. Now, do you understand why I feel like a jerk? It was never her, always you. I wasted her time. She deserved better, because every ounce of me loved you. There is nowhere else I'd rather be and you should never question it. When I'm lying next to you, I'm not thinking about anyone else. Why would I? I have everything I could ever want or need."

"I'm sorry for not believing in you."

"I accept your apology. Are we ok?"

She nodded.

He pulled her close and she wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into his neck.

They just sat like that for a while, neither saying a word.

Jason finally spoke. "You don't feel that?"

She nodded. "Yes."

"I can't get this just anywhere. Only with you. Nothing compares to us….."

A few days later, Brenda and Jason were on their first official date since getting back together.

Their date started that morning.

Monica would be watching Jacob.

They dropped Jacob off at the mansion and got an ear full from Edward, who was his normal charming self.

He didn't understand why they needed to go on a date, they lived together.

He said their whole life was a date.

He thought they should spend the day at the mansion with the family.

Jason was annoyed but thankfully Monica intervened and told Edward to shut up.

They said their goodbyes and they were off…...

Brenda decided that it would be great if they made a day of it.

She felt the best that she'd felt in a long time.

She insisted on driving and drove straight to the gun range.

"Brenda, I was just kidding, we didn't have to come here."

"I know, but I thought it would be fun. I know you miss shooting at people."

Jason shot her a look. "Really, Brenda? I thought you changed."

"I have. This time I was joking."

Jason exited the vehicle. "Yeah right."

She followed him. "I'm serious. I have no idea what you did for Sonny. I'm just kidding."

He kept walking.

She ran up to him and jumped on his back, wrapping her legs around his waist, and locking her ankles.

He stumbled a little and stopped. "What are you doing?!"

"I'm not going to get off, until you tell me you aren't upset with me."

He laughed. "Brenda, I am not upset with you."

"Promise."

"Yes!"

"Pinky swear."

He laughed. "Pinky what?"

"Jason, I'm not going to get down until you swear."

"Ok, whatever. I swear."

She jumped down and grabbed his hand. "I was really just kidding."

"Brenda, I know. You didn't think I was really upset with you?"

"I don't know. We just got back together and things-"

He finished her statement. "Fine. Things are fine."

He leaned down and kissed her hand. "Let's go shoot and I'm going to ask if I can use you as the target, since I miss shooting at people."

She pushed him...

They ended up having a great time.

Jason standing behind her, teaching her how to shoot would always be a good time.

He didn't need the practice.

He was an excellent shot.

He could hit a target with relative ease which really wasn't that surprising.

He used to work for Sonny.

After they left the gun range she surprised him by taking him dirt bike riding.

Jason didn't just love regular motorcycles, he liked all kinds of bikes.

He was always looking at bike magazines.

It was important to her that he had a nice relaxing day.

He spent a lot of time taking care of her and he deserved to have a little bit of fun.…

They are at the track getting ready to ride.

Jason helped her put on her helmet and fasten it. "Brenda, do you know what you are doing?"

"I have ridden a dirt bike before. I'm not as good as you, but we played around as teenagers."

He shook his head. "I don't know about this, Brenda."

"Jason, I'm going to be fine. I promise."

"Don't try to go fast. There is no one out here but us. Take your time. I don't want you hurting yourself."

She saluted him. "Yes, sir."

"I'm serious, Brenda."

"Jason, I'm not going to go fast. Now, go."

He gave her a quick peck, jumped on his bike, and within seconds he was gone.

She took off but didn't go fast.

She only went about ten mph, if that.

She didn't want to break her neck.

As she felt more comfortable, she went a little faster, but not much.

Jason passed her several times.

She was happy he was enjoying himself.

Seeing him happy made her happy…..

They stopped by a diner to have a quick lunch after leaving the track.

They are eating.

Brenda poured some dressing over her salad. "Are you having a good time?"

"I am, but it feels like we are only doing the things I like."

"I'm having fun, spending time with you is everything to me. And Jason, you have done a lot for me. I just wanted you to have a good time for a change. You have been glued to my side."

"Brenda, being by your side is not a chore."

"I know, but still. I just wanted you to have a relaxing day."

"Thanks, but I want you to relax too. You were the one in the accident and coma."

"I am having a relaxing day. I've been having fun. You can't tell?"

He nodded and finished off his sandwich. "Where to next?"

"Shopping. I haven't been shopping in so long."

Jason rolled his eyes. "Setting me up for the kill."

She just laughed…

After leaving the mall, they headed home to rest up for dinner later.

Brenda wasn't really done with her retail therapy, but Jason insisted that they head home.

She was a little tired, so she didn't put up a fight.

Maybe he sensed that?

It had been a long time since she spent all day out, and she was doing a lot of physical activities.

She was exhausted.

They pulled up to the house and she saw Lucy's car parked out front.

"What is Lucy doing here?"

There was a van parked next to her car.

Jason shrugged. "I don't know."

Lucy had a key to her house, just in case there was ever an emergency.

"Jason, we didn't leave anything on did we?"

"Brenda, that isn't a fire truck."

"You're right, it isn't. I wonder why Lucy is here?"

"Maybe she is stealing?"

"Lucy wouldn't steal."

Jason smiled. "You never really know people."

She looked at him, got out, and went inside.

Brenda's eyes widened. "Jason, what the-" She turned and looked at him. "Did you do this?"

"With a little help from Lucy. Someone had to be here to let them in."

Jason had brought the spa to her.

Lucy stood up. "Enjoy. I'm gone."

Jason and Brenda thanked her and she left.

"Jason, this is wonderful! I haven't been to the spa in so long!"

She kissed him.

"I thought you could use this. I know how much you love going to the spa and you haven't been since the day of the accident."

"Are you trying to tell me I look a mess?"

"You could ever look anything other than perfect."

She smiled. "That just melted my heart. Jason, this is so thoughtful. Thanks, I love it..."

There were three ladies that came.

One for pedicures & manicures, another for hair, and a massage therapist.

Brenda was in heaven.

She is getting a massage and Jason is sitting on the sofa flipping through one of his bike magazines.

"Jason, you should get something done."

"No, I'm fine."

"They are here, you might as well. They would fix all of those hangnails. You could get a haircut too."

"Brenda, are you trying to tell me that I look awful?"

She smiled. "Of course not, you couldn't look anything other than...perfect. But you'd look better with a haircut."

He laughed and so did the ladies from the spa.

Jason looked down at his hands.

They did look a little rough.

He planned on cutting his hair later anyway, why not let them. "OK….."

Jason would never admit it, but it wasn't all that bad.

His feet and hands did look better, and he felt so relaxed.

It was mostly because of the massage he ended up getting.

It felt better than even he could have imagined.

He finally understood why Lucy and Brenda went to the spa so much…...

The people from the spa have left, but not before getting generous tips from Jason.

Brenda and Jason are stretched out on the sofa.

Brenda is in between his legs, leaning up against him. Her fingers are intertwined with his. "This feels so good. I had so much fun today, just being with you. Jason, we are so great together. I am sitting here thinking about how I really made a mess of everything."

"Yeah, you did."

She elbowed him. "You are supposed to say, we made a mess of everything.."

"I'm not going to say that, although I will admit to being stubborn."

"You were very stubborn."

"I was very angry too."

"You looked at me like you wanted to kill me that day I saw you in Kelly's."

"I didn't want to kill you. At first, I couldn't believe you were sitting there. It caught me by surprise and then I looked down and saw that ring on your finger. I almost lost it."

"You did lose it. That cup of coffee took a beating."

"I just could not believe you did that. How could you do it, Brenda?"

"I don't know. I honestly don't know why I did it. You said it best, I don't make the best decisions all of the time."

"And you were planning on staying with him."

"Jason, I hurt Jax once before. I didn't want to do it again. You should understand that now, especially with everything that happened with Emma."

"I honestly don't care about Jax. I have no sympathy for him. He knew you loved me. He took advantage of the situation. He did the same with Sonny."

"Jax is not a bad person, Jason."

"Maybe not, but he is an opportunist."

Brenda knew there was some truth to that, but she would never have ill feelings towards Jax.

He had been nothing but good to her and she knew he really cared about her.

"It was on me too, Jason."

"Don't think I don't know that, but I love you. I don't care anything about him. I think communication is key for us. I don't care what is going on, we have to talk about it."

"I agree because if we would have just talked in that guesthouse that day, things would have been so different."

Jason sighed. "I was just so angry. I thought you and Sonny were doing what you two always did."

"It wasn't like that. It wasn't like that at all. I think he thought it was going to be like that. I was just trying to make it back home to you. I had no idea what you were thinking. Well, yes, I did. That I ran off with him again."

She kissed his hand. "I'm just glad we are together. Jason, your hands are so smooth."

"I almost don't even recognize them and they are attached to my body."

They burst into laughter…..

It's later.

They've showered and Brenda is standing in her closet trying to figure out what to wear.

She grabbed a pair of jeans.

Jason took them out of her hands and placed them back on the shelf. "Not tonight. Wear something nicer."

She cocked her head to the side. "I thought maybe we were going somewhere low key?"

"You said you wanted to go somewhere nice."

"Yes, but honestly, Jason, I don't really care as long as we are together. Today has already been great, we can go anywhere. I don't mind. I just like spending time with you."

"Dress nice."

"Why don't you pick something?"

He frowned. "I don't know anything about dresses."

"You know what you like."

"Brenda, whatever you choose I'll like. You look great in everything."

"That's nice of you to say, but no one looks great in everything."

"You do. You are just beautiful. It doesn't matter what you wear." He kissed her forehead. "We need to hurry and get dressed."

She walked over to where her dresses were and started flipping through them…

They are in the car headed to some unknown destination.

Jason was wearing a nice suit and she settled on a nude mini dress.

It looked like it had been painted on.

It was her first time wearing it.

She purchased it in Paris.

She got her hair blown out but decided to pull it back into a tight chignon.

She kept her makeup simple.

She decided to wear a soft pink look.

It was just a hint of color on her eyes, lips, and cheeks.

She wanted to look as natural as possible, nothing too heavy.

She wore diamond jewelry, which consisted of earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet.

Jason didn't drive.

He hired a driver which was so unlike him.

There were flowers and champagne inside.

"Jason, thank you so much for the flowers. They are beautiful."

"You are welcome."

She looked out the window. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see when we get there."

He opened the champagne, poured her a glass, and handed it to her.

She took a sip as her eyes roamed over him. "I know I've already told you this, but you look so nice."

And he did.

He looked like he stepped out of the pages of some upscale magazine.

He thanked her. "Not as good as you."

"Jason, you really could have been a model. Still can."

"I'll pass."

"Even if we let your guns be in the pictures?"

"I know you are feeling better, because your sense of humor is returning." He laughed. "Brenda, I will never really understand you. So beautiful but so...different."

"It's fine if you don't ever really understand me, just don't ever stop loving me."

"I couldn't even if I wanted to. I tried."

Her eyes widened. "Did you really?"

"Yes, I did."

She frowned. "Why would you want to do that?"

"Because you were married."

She looked out the window. "Oh, that."

Jason shook his head. "Yes, that…..."

They made it downtown but didn't stop at any of the popular restaurants.

Brenda was so confused.

The town wasn't that big.

Where could they possibly be going?

She quickly decided that it really wasn't that important.

She was with Jason, the man she loved, the rest didn't matter.

Eventually, they turned into the parking deck of one of the tallest buildings in Port Charles.

She had been there before.

A couple of events had been held there.

They made it to the top of the parking deck and the car stopped.

The driver got out and opened the door.

They exited the car.

Jason grabbed her hand and took her inside.

They walked inside of the building and into the huge hall.

It had been transformed.

There was only one large round table, the other tables had been cleared.

There were candles all around the room, including on the table.

A beautiful arrangement of white roses sat in the middle of the table.

Rose petals were on the floor positioned around it.

A string quartet was playing.

The room didn't have walls, it was just surrounded by glass.

The perfect view of the city.

"Jason, this is so beautiful. You thought of this by yourself?"

"I had help. My grandmother gave me a few pointers."

"Well, I love it. It is so romantic."

They walked up to the window and looked out at the city.

"This looks amazing. I'm so glad we didn't go to a restaurant. I'm glad we are alone." She turned and looked at the string quartet and the small staff. "Well…kind of."

He smiled. "We could have picked up pizza and brought a radio, if you wanted to be totally alone."

She laughed. "Nah…I prefer this."

He took her over to the table and pulled out her chair.

She sat down.

He sat next to her.

The waiter came out and poured their champagne.

She didn't need a menu, Jason had already told them what he wanted prepared.

He knew what she liked…..

Brenda thought the food was spectacular.

She ate everything given to her.

It was a seven-course meal.

It was like they were at a five star restaurant.

Once they finished dinner and the plates were taken, she decided to take that moment to give him something.

"I have something for you."

"Brenda, you didn't have to get me anything."

She removed a box from her purse. "It's not a ring. I know you are used to women proposing."

He laughed. "Oh, you are definitely feeling better."

He instantly recognized the box.

She opened it. "I think it's time you had this. I bought it for you."

It was the watch she bought for him.

She took off the watch he was wearing and put the one she bought for him on.

She placed his old one in the box and put it inside of her purse.

"I think it looks perfect."

He nodded. "I agree. Brenda, I have a confession. I actually saw this watch the day I was helping you unpack...in your closet. I thought it was Jax's. I almost threw it in the trash."

"I'm glad you didn't. I wish you would have said something."

"No, because we were really getting along at that point. I didn't want to mess that up. I was trying to keep the peace. It never crossed my mind that it could be mine." He looked down at it briefly. "Thanks again."

"You are welcome. I wish I could have given it to you the day I purchased it."

"Me too."

"That day derailed us." She looked around. "Jason, thanks for all of this. This is perfect."

"Thank you for the range and the dirt bike riding. It was fun. Although, I was a little worried about you being on that bike and not really knowing how to ride."

"I went slow."

"Trust me, I know. I was paying attention."

"Jason, let's take advantage of this music."

"You want to dance?"

She grinned. "Yes. Have we ever danced?"

Jason stood up and pulled her to her feet. "Yes, in the bed, on the floor, on the counters."

She burst into laughter and placed her hand into his.

He pulled her close, and they started swaying to the music.

"Jason, I really mean it, tonight was great. The food was wonderful, and the company was even better. Where did you find that chef?"

"Flew him in from New York."

"The best food I've had since I was in Paris."

"I don't want to hear about Paris."

She looked up at him. "Jason, I've been to Paris numerous times, not just with-"

He repeated himself. "I don't want to hear about Paris."

"I would never discuss anything I did with Jax with you."

"Brenda, I don't want to talk about it."

"Jason, maybe we should talk about it? We can't pretend as if you are not still angry with me, because you are. If I mention him you flip out. Even if I don't and you just think it has something to do with him, you flip out. It's the reason why I'm so unsure of us. I'm not talking about you loving me, I believe you do. I just think you are still really angry about Jax. I can't undo it, Jason."

"I know and I can't just forget it either."

"I am so very sorry I hurt you."

"I know. I just don't want to talk about him. That's all."

"I wasn't talking about him. I just mentioned Paris."

"Right now, Paris equates to Jax."

"Jason, I don't know what else I can do."

"There is nothing you can do."

"I thought we were moving on."

"We are and I'm not trying to be difficult. It was just a hard time for me. Sometimes you'll say something and I'm taken back to that time. But...Brenda, let's just drop it. Are you having fun?"

"Yes."

"Let's just try to continue."

They danced for a while before he took her back over to the table.

The table had been cleared.

It was time for dessert.

A cake was brought out with a single plate, a knife, and a couple of forks.

They also brought out a fresh bottle of champagne with two fresh glasses.

There was some tension after their talk, but they were trying their best not to let it ruin their night.

The cake had a single candle on top.

Brenda tried to get things back on track. "Jason, we should make a wish."

"Mine already came true. I wanted you to wake up and you did."

"I guess mine came true too. We could make other wishes."

He nodded.

She closed her eyes for a brief moment and opened them. "Did you make a wish?"

"Yes."

"Don't tell me."

He smiled. "I wasn't going to."

"Jason, did you really make a wish? You just don't seem like the type to make wishes, or were just entertaining me?"

"Normally, I probably wouldn't, but after everything that happened with you and the accident, I know it can't hurt. I did a lot of wishing when you were lying in that bed. Wishing and praying. I don't think you understand how scared we all were."

"No, I guess I don't."

"I guess you couldn't. I know you are fine, but I'm scared if I squeeze you too hard, you might break."

She tried to reassure him. "I'm fine, Jason. Let's dive into this cake."

They sat down and he cut the cake…..

After they were done they walked out into the parking deck.

Brenda didn't see the car they came in, only a motorcycle.

A motorcycle with two helmets.

She looked around. "Where is the car?"

"I thought we could take the bike back. It's a nice night."

"You want me to get on that in my dress?"

"Yes."

She looked at the bike. "Ok."

He wasn't expecting that.

In fact, he had the car waiting on stand by just in case.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, why not? It will be fun."

"I wasn't expecting that."

He walked up to the bike and opened a storage compartment on the back.

He pulled out a pair of her sweatpants and a hoodie.

"I would never expect you to get on the bike in your dress."

He also gave her some sneakers.

She went back inside and into the bathroom to slip the clothes on over her dress.

She swapped her shoes and they prepared to leave.

He put her things inside of the compartment.

They placed on their helmets, and got onto the bike.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and off they went.

They didn't go straight home.

They took a spin around the city.

They ended up stopping by the bridge Jason used to visit after his accident.

They are standing on it.

Jason looked up into the night sky. "I'm not sure if I ever told you, but I spent a lot of time here after my accident. I didn't have to worry about anyone bothering me, expecting me to be something I was not. Robin came here with me a couple of times. She was really easy to talk to and didn't put any pressure on me. That's why I liked her so much. She just accepted me. I'll always be grateful to her for that."

"I just knew you two were going to end up together."

"I actually ended up falling for the rude, loud mouthed, beautiful one."

She smiled. "Really?"

"Yep, I still remember waking up in the hospital, after the accident, and seeing you standing there looking down at me." He laughed. "You were nice to me then."

"We were nice to each other. The calm before the storm."

He laughed. "Yeah, we fought a lot."

"Yeah, we were at war for a while, but once we started to really connect, it was amazing."

He agreed. "I couldn't get enough of you, and I never thought I would enjoy being around you."

She grinned. "Trust me I know the feeling. I treated you terribly after my...non wedding and it was simply because you were around. Sonny left and you were there. So, I took it out on you. I just needed someone to yell at. Once I stopped yelling, I started falling. I fell in love with you and it was so...wonderful and unexpected. I wasn't looking to fall in love with anyone."

"I know and neither was I. It just snuck up on us. I didn't even really know what it felt like. I had never been in love. I know that I had fallen for a few women before the accident, but I don't remember any of that. I just know what it feels like to love you. Loving you changed me."

She touched his cheek. "I feel the same about you."

"I used to look up at the stars, wondering what would become of me. The universe already knew. I know you are wondering why I am sharing so much. I promised myself that if you opened your eyes, you would always know just how much you mean to me, and I would spend the rest of my days showing you."

He picked her up and held her tightly. "I missed you. God, I missed you."

She held onto him.

After a while he sat her back down on her feet. "Let's go home…."

As soon as they got home she went upstairs.

He didn't, he took the dogs out.

After he brought the dogs back in, he joined her with two glasses of wine.

Brenda was in the bathroom washing off her makeup, when he walked into the room.

He placed the glasses of wine down and started undressing.

After she finished washing her face, Brenda walked out of the bathroom.

Jason didn't say a word, his eyes just followed her over to the bed.

She had already taken off her sweats and dress.

She was only wearing a black strapless bra and a pair of black lace panties to match.

He removed his shirt, kicked off his shoes, and took off his pants.

"Would you like some wine?"

She shook her head. "No."

He walked over to the bed and sat down.

She wasted no time straddling him.

She didn't kiss him, she just touched his face. "Jason, why don't you kiss me?"

"I kiss you everyday."

"Yeah, a nice peck. I know you love me, but are you still sexually attracted to me?"

"Of course, I'm attracted to you. I told you that."

"Why don't you kiss me like you used to? Tell the truth, it's because you are still angry with me."

"Brenda, that's not important to me anymore."

She definitely didn't believe that. "Yes, it is. Do I need to remind you of our talks earlier?''

"OK, it still bothers me, but it hasn't stopped me from wanting to be with you. Honestly, I thought we were just taking our time reconnecting, and you were also in a coma not that long ago. You were pretty banged up."

"You don't think I'm better?"

"I do now."

"Jason, either you are still angry with me and it's preventing you from making love to me, or the accident really freaked you out. Honestly, I can't decide."

"Brenda, you know the accident freaked me out."

She leaned over and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Well, I'm fine. I thought we weren't supposed to be wasting any more time."

"I don't think we are wasting time. We're together, that's most important. Brenda, I think our time together has been great. You don't?"

"I mean…yes, but I miss you, Jason." She slid her hand across his chest. "We haven't been together since we conceived Jacob."

He smiled. "Really? I didn't know that."

"Are you being sarcastic?"

"Brenda, how could I forget that?"

"Jason, what I am trying to say is, I think it is time we made love. No more excuses."

Her hand moved all the way down until it slipped inside of his boxers and wrapped firmly around him, pulling him up and out.

He closed his eyes. "I wasn't going to make any excuses."

"If you make love to me, I won't break. I promise. If I can ride a dirt bike, Jason, I can ride you. And we don't have to go over…ten miles per hour either."

He burst into laughter.

She leaned down and kissed him. "I'm serious, we can go slow, and when you feel comfortable we can go faster."

She slipped her tongue inside of his mouth and kissed him deeply.

He didn't touch her at first.

He just let his lips get familiar with hers again.

It had been a long time since he kissed her this deeply.

She reached down, moved her panties to the side, raised her hips, and pushed herself down onto his manhood.

Jason growled.

She broke the kiss and let out a long sigh, before rejoining her lips with his.

She didn't move at first, she had to get reacquainted with his thickness.

Neither did he.

He could feel how tight she was.

She'd move when she was ready.

And she did.

She slowly started moving her hips.

His hand eventually moved up into her hair, causing it to come undone, and tumble down her back.

Their kiss grew in intensity.

Jason reached around, unhooked her bra, and removed it.

He threw it onto the rocking chair.

His hands cupped her bare breasts before leaning down and taking one into his mouth.

He wasn't gentle either.

A loud moan left her lips as her hips rocked back and forward.

He moved to the other one and was just as rough.

After punishing her nipples, he grabbed her by the neck.

Not hard enough to choke her, just firmly.

He kissed her hard.

So hard that her lips were tingling when he broke the kiss.

He moved down to her neck while reaching around and gripping her rear.

He moved back up to her lips, stood up with their bodies still joined, and placed her on the bed.

Within seconds he removed her panties and his boxers followed.

He didn't want anything restricting them.

It seemed like she blinked and he had already settled in between her thighs.

Jason shifted his hips and buried himself deep inside her.

Brenda let out a loud moan. "Aaaaah….Jaaason."

She dug her nails into his arms.

He leaned down and slipped his tongue into her mouth. "God, Brenda. I've missed you so much."

She started moving her hips, pressing up, sending him even deeper.

They both moaned.

Jason started meeting her thrusts until he lost all restraint and his hips were twisting, turning, moving in and out, pounding her into the mattress.

His moans and her cries not only filled the room but the house.

This was not sweet lovemaking.

This was months of frustration and need.

They didn't want or need foreplay, they had months of it…..

Jason's head is resting on her chest.

She ran her fingers through his hair. "I missed this."

He didn't say anything.

He just ran his hands across her abdomen.

He leaned down and kissed it.

He didn't stop, he continued down to where her thighs met.

She inhaled and closed her eyes.

It wasn't long before her fingers were pulling and tugging on his blonde hair.

When he entered her for the third time, they were both lying on their sides, face to face, her leg draped around his hip.

They were looking into each other's eyes as their bodies continued to get reacquainted.

A tear fell from her eye.

He wiped it away and joined his lips with hers….

It was three in the morning, when Brenda woke up.

She looked up at Jason's sleeping face.

Their naked sticky bodies were still pressed together.

They made love several times before they passed out and she still…wanted more.

She ran her hand down his torso and grabbed a hold of him.

He didn't open his eyes, he just inhaled, and now he was up…again.

She kissed his chest and planted soft kisses all the way down his body, until her lips were wrapped around him.

She took her time and enjoyed every inch of him.

She held his gaze as she made love to him with her mouth.

A little while later, Jason felt himself getting close and tried to push her away, but she removed his hand.

She wanted him until completion….

After catching his breath, Jason pulled her up his body, and positioned her over his face.

Her thighs sandwiched his head and their night….continued….

It's the next day.

Brenda and Jason were supposed to have breakfast at the Quartermaine's, let's just say, they didn't arrive until well after lunch.

Brenda's hair was still wet when they arrived. She managed to pull it up into a high bun.

She wore a button down to hide the love bites.

She should have used makeup but she wasn't thinking clearly.

She was on this incredible high.

Her face was bare but was not void of color.

She had a natural flush.

Jason kissed her one last time before entering the house.

AJ was playing with Jacob when they walked into the great room.

Lila smiled. "Well, there you two are. We were expecting you for breakfast."

Brenda rushed over and picked up Jacob. "We got sidetracked. We are so sorry. Hello, Jacob Poo."

She planted kisses all over his face.

He just screamed and laughed.

AJ stood up. "Your hair is still wet, Brenda."

"I know, AJ."

He laughed. "What have you been doing, Brenda?"

"None of your business, AJ."

Monica walked into the great room. "Jason, Brenda…hello."

They both said hello and thanked her for watching Jacob.

"Anytime. How was your date?"

Jason nodded. "I think it was…great."

Brenda sat down. "Yes, it was really nice."

Monica was pleased. "Good."

Jason and Brenda learned Alan and Edward had gone to the country club after breakfast.

A lot of the local businessmen would go there on Sunday's.

They would use that time to network….

Brenda and Jason were sitting on the sofa next to each other.

AJ left.

Monica and Lila were busy playing with Jacob.

Jason ran his thumb across her lips. "Your lips look swollen.'

"All that kissing."

He leaned over and kissed her.

She moved her head. "Your mother and grandmother."

"They know we kiss."

"Jason, last night was amazing."

"It was great."

She leaned over and whispered. "We are so gross. My poor bed was ruined."

"You have a washing machine and other sheets."

She giggled and grabbed his hand. "I don't think you will ever know how much I missed you. I'm not talking about the sex."

"You didn't like the sex? I did. I liked the part when you were sitting on my fa-"

She placed her hand over his mouth and looked over at Monica and Lila.

They were still playing with Jacob.

Brenda was so happy the great room was huge.

She removed her hand. "Jason, shhh…your mother and grandmother are sitting over there."

"They can't hear us. Do you still think I don't want you?"

"No. Not after last night. You must have been holding that in."

He kissed her. "For a very long time."

Monica and Lila were watching them now.

Monica was so happy they were back together. "Lila, I think this time it is going to stick."

Lila agreed. "I think so."

Brenda and Jason spent the rest of the day at the Quartermaine's.

Edward and Alan eventually returned, so did AJ.

They have just finished having dinner.

Everyone is in the great room having various conversations and enjoying their after dinner drinks.

Brenda is talking to Lila and Edward.

Alan, AJ, and Monica are fussing over Jacob.

Jason was looking out at the garden.

He was just thinking about how different things were a few short months ago.

He looked around the room at his family.

They were dysfunctional but they were still a family.

There was a time when he didn't want anything to do with them.

He had every intention of cutting them out of his life.

He was glad he didn't.

He looked at his grandmother and grandfather.

They had been married for a lifetime and were still deeply in love.

His grandfather was not a nice man, but he loved his grandmother, and he loved his family.

He took pride in their family.

They were everything to him.

Jason admired that…...

It's later and Brenda and Jason are back at home.

They bathed Jacob, who was already nodding off, and put him in bed.

As soon as they were in her room, he started removing her clothes.

"Jason, I need to shower."

He kissed her neck. "You smell great."

"I feel sticky."

"I think you feel nice."

"Jason, I need to shower. I won't feel comfortable if I don't."

He lifted his head. "Ok, we can take a quick one."

"We?"

"Yes, we can conserve water."

He picked her up and took her inside the bathroom…..

Brenda and Jason have showered and are in bed.

Her legs are wrapped around his waist and his length is buried deep inside her.

If she didn't know better, she'd think he hadn't had sex in years….

Brenda collapsed on top of Jason after an orgasm whipped through her body.

He flipped her back over and his hips took over…...

Brenda is curled up against Jason. "Jason, you act like you are the one that hasn't had sex in awhile."

He laughed. "I told you I missed you."

"Oh, trust me, I believe you."

"Brenda, I know this is an odd time to bring this up, but what happened with you and Phillip?"

She lifted her head. "What do you mean?"

"Did you break things off?"

"No, why should I? I'm going to date both of you."

Jason sat up. "What?"

She grinned. "I'm just kidding, Jason. Yes, I told him that we were going to give it another shot. He wished us nothing but happiness. We weren't committed, Jason. Like I told you, we never even kissed. It was very new."

She looked up at him. "Now, I have a question for you."

"Ok?"

"Would you be opposed to going to see Kevin with me? Hear me out. I just want us to talk about all of our issues with someone that will be neutral. I know what you said. I know you said that everything is ok, but I don't know if I believe that. I know you love me. I know you want to be here. I just want to make sure we talk about things and deal with everything. I think it will make us stronger. I know therapy isn't really your thing. I know you didn't like it after the accident-"

"Brenda, I'll go."

That was easier than expected. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I think it is a good idea."

"I just want us to make it. I don't want anything to come up later because we rushed everything."

"I don't think we rushed anything. We just aren't wasting time anymore."

"Jason, I have another question. Will you move in?"

"I'm already staying here."

"I mean officially move in."

"You mean sell my house?"

"Yes."

"You know, I think it is time."

She smiled. "I didn't think it would be that easy."

"I'm never there."

"You're not worried about me having a tantrum and throwing you out?"

"No, would you throw me out?"

"Of course not. I would only do that if you cheated on me. You are not a cheater. Look how devoted you were to Emma. You were around me all of the time and nothing ever happened."

"Not physically. I should not have been in your room while you were getting dressed. I should not have been taking showers in your bathroom while you were present. I am not this great person."

"It was disrespectful. Would you do that to me? Would you go over to Emma's and talk to her while she is undressing?"

"No, because she is no longer in Port Charles."

Brenda punched him.

He laughed. "I'm just kidding. No, I would never do that. I was wrong for doing it with you. I know it, but we never crossed the line. It wasn't like I was staring or lusting after you. I was just around. We spent so much time together, I never thought anything of it. Not until you mentioned it."

"If that ever happened, I would have the biggest tantrum. I would not hesitate in throwing you out. After throwing you out, I'd throw another boulder through your windshield, and this time I wouldn't pay for it. I have tried to change but don't push me."

Jason laughed.….

Over the next few months, Jason managed to move out of his house, and sell it.

It didn't take long because it was a nice house.

He started out leasing it and liked it so much he bought it.

He sold his furniture too, excluding the items he loved the most.

They started seeing Kevin once a month.

Brenda still had her sessions alone with him.

She liked talking to Kevin.

He was smart and honest, in addition she respected his opinion…...

Brenda is at Deception.

She was in her office talking to Lucy.

Jacob was with Jason.

Lucy was leaning up against her desk. "Are you ready for your vacation?"

"Yes, I am looking forward to getting away, and don't worry I will still be working why I'm there."

"Brenda, you don't have to. I can handle everything."

"I know, but I wouldn't feel right. I've taken so much time off."

"Not by choice. You were in an accident! Tell me…where are you staying in Hawaii?"

"Some insane house Jason rented. I have seen pictures and it is huge."

Lucy sat down in a chair next to the desk. "Where does he work?"

"He has businesses that he invested in. I guess he used his mob money. We don't talk about it. I don't even ask. I'm just happy he is done with that life."

"I wonder how much money he made with Sonny?"

"I don't know. You can't tell with Jason. He isn't flashy like Sonny."

Lucy agreed. "No, he's not. Sonny wants the world to know he has money."

"Jason is the opposite. He is so private. I mean, if I ask, he'll answer."

"Hey, do you ever wonder what happened to the guy who caused your accident?"

"Sometimes. I don't think that was a coincidence, Lucy."

"Maybe Sonny did it? At least you know Jason didn't. He was glued to you at the Q's."

Brenda nodded.

She started thinking about that day.

Actually, he wasn't.

He left for about an hour and a half.

She just assumed he was in the house, but was he?

She honestly didn't know.

Of course, he was in the house.

She dismissed all of her negative thoughts.

Jason was in the house.

Of course, he was in the house.

But he did rush out, like he had to go do something.

It was actually right in the middle of an important conversation.

"Brenda?"

"Hmmm?"

"Where did you go?"

"Nowhere, I'm right here."

"I think you are already in Hawaii."

Brenda managed a smile. "Yeah, I think so too….."

After Brenda left Deception she stopped by Kelly's.

Sonny was sitting at one of the tables.

She didn't try to avoid him.

She actually walked over and joined him.

She had not seen him since she left the hospital.

"You look great, Brenda."

"I feel great. Sonny, I want to thank you for being there when I was in the hospital. That was really nice of you."

"You don't have to thank me. I'll always care about you."

"Me too, Sonny."

"I take it you are back with Jason."

She nodded. "But you know we are back together."

"Yeah, I do. I'm not surprised. He didn't leave your bedside at all. It is still strange…the whole thing…for me."

"I know. You two were glued at the hip. He was your best friend."

"And you were my-" He smiled. "Mine."

"Yeah, I was."

"I should have been honest with you. Things would have been so different. I can't lie, Brenda, I have this overwhelming urge to fight for you."

"Don't waste your time, it won't work."

He sighed. "I know. I never thought I would give up on you."

"You have no choice."

He flashed a forced dimpled smile. "You still think you love Jason?"

"I know I do, Sonny. I know you don't like hearing that. You'll find the perfect person for you. She is out there."

"I had her and I let her down. I just handed you over to Jason."

"Sonny, neither one of us-"

"It still happened because of me."

Brenda couldn't really say anything because it was the truth.

"Brenda, tell me something. There is no one here but me and you. Do you ever miss us?"

"I've closed that chapter."

He leaned back in his chair and crossed his legs. He looked into her eyes. "Have you really? After all, we meant to each other. There was nothing better than us."

"And then you sent me to a packed church. You can never know what that was like for me."

"I'm so sorry, Sweetheart."

"I believe you are sorry, but we can't go back. Not ever."

"Brenda, you might not want to hear this but that moth is still drawn to that flame."

She lowered her head. "Don't do that, Sonny."

He leaned forward. "Do what? Still love you, because I do. I can't help it."

She looked up at him. "I love Jason and I can't help that."

He touched her hand. "That hurts."

"I'm not trying to hurt you. It's just the truth."

"My biggest regret is not being honest with you."

She pulled her hand away. "We can't go back, let's just move on."

"I hate that we aren't together, but I won't interfere with any life you choose. Even if it's with Jason, I've hurt you enough."

"Thanks. We have a history of doing crazy things to get the other back, but those days are over. I'm glad you know that."

"Yeah, some things you just can't come back from." He stood up. "I'm going to leave. It's hard for me to see you and things be so different between us. See you later, Sweetheart."

"Bye, Sonny….."

Jason decided to surprise Brenda with a trip to Turks and Caicos instead of Hawaii.

Brenda had no clue he wasn't taking them to Hawaii but she was not disappointed.

Turks and Caicos was even more beautiful and the weather was perfect.

The house they were staying in was just as great as the one she'd seen in Hawaii.

It had its own pool and the beach was steps away.

Jacob loved the beach.

He spent a lot of time in the water with Jason.

He got a real kick out of the waves.

He would just laugh hysterically when they crashed into him.

As much as he loved the water, it could not hold a candle to the sand.

His favorite thing was to bury his toys and dig them up.

Brenda and Jason would bury them while he wasn't looking, and he would just scream with excitement when they would pull something out of the sand.

He would just squeal and clap his little hands.

They were having such a great time.

They didn't hire a chef, they preferred cooking themselves.

It was all about family time for them and it was just what they needed.

They had been through so much…...

They are in the kitchen.

Jason was cooking and for some odd reason, Brenda decided to ask a question out of the blue.

"Jason, where did you go that day at the Quartermaine's?"

"What day?"

"The day you told me you broke up with Emma and you wanted us to get back together."

"I don't know what you are talking about."

He knew exactly what she was talking about.

"The day you told me that you wanted us back, and then all of a sudden you bolted. That day."

He stopped what he was doing and looked at her. "Why are you asking me that?"

"I don't know."

And she didn't.

She didn't know why she brought that up.

He just stared at her for a few seconds.

Jason decided to be honest. "Brenda, he got what was coming to him. Actually, he got off easy. He's just struggling to walk. It could have been worse. He could be dead."

"You would have killed him?"

"If you didn't get better, without hesitation."

Brenda wasn't done. "I need to ask you a question, because I never really knew what you did for Sonny. What did you do?"

She would take her shots when she was angry, but she didn't really know anything.

Jason just looked at her. "Whatever you are thinking, it is ten times worse. Does that scare you?"

"I'm not afraid of you, Jason."

Jason went from being one of the best hitmen in the country to trying to walk the straight and narrow.

Only a few people knew what he was capable of, Sonny was one of them.

"Just in case you are worried, to the outside, I was just a regular employee. If you are worried."

"I'm not worried. I don't know why, but I'm not. I think if there were issues, you wouldn't be with me now."

"No, I wouldn't. I would never put you and Jacob in any danger. Anything else you want to know?"

"No, thanks for telling me all that you did."

Brenda thought about her relationship with Sonny.

It was nothing like this.

Jason didn't dodge her questions at all.

That meant a lot to her….

Jason, Jacob, and Brenda were having the time of their lives in Turks and Caicos.

They spent their time diving, snorkeling, surfing and Jason even went kiteboarding.

They couldn't do certain things at the same time, because of Jacob, but it was still a lot of fun.

After putting Jacob to bed one night, Jason and Brenda decided to partake in some adult beverages, smoke a little weed, and listen to some music.

Jason was sipping on a beer and Brenda was on her second glass of wine.

They were taking turns sharing their little homemade cigarette.

They were lounging on the sofa, both feeling more relaxed than normal.

Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" was playing on the radio.

Brenda placed the homemade cigarette in the ashtray, stood up, and reached for his hand.

He killed the rest of his beer and got up.

She pressed her body up against his and they swayed back and forth to the music. "Jason, this has been the best vacation."

"It really has."

"I don't even want to go back."

"Yes, you do. You couldn't go another week without seeing Jack and Sam."

She grinned. "Yeah, and the rest of our family and friends. Ok, it's cool for the time being."

He laughed.

He lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist.

"I think we needed this. It's our back together vacation."

Jason laughed. "Our what?"

"Our back together vacation. We are celebrating us. I just realized this is the first time Jacob has seen his parents together."

"Brenda, I think he is used to us."

She kissed him. "Not being in love."

"We've always been in love."

She smiled. "Yes, we have."

"Jason, I don't think I have ever been this happy. It just seems like everything has fallen into place, well thanks to that accident. At least I didn't do anything insane to get you back." She giggled. "I have grown a lot, because the old me would have been scheming."

He laughed.

She continued. "But I wasn't that person anymore. I did a lot of chasing with Sonny. I swore I wouldn't do that anymore."

"You have grown a lot."

"You should know. You had a front row seat to that disaster."

"And other ones too."

They both laughed.

He reached down and picked up the homemade cigarette that was sitting in the ashtray.

He took a deep puff of it.

He leaned over and blew the smoke into her accepting mouth.

He took another puff, inhaled, blew it out, and placed the joint back in the ashtray.

He gave her a deep passionate kiss. "Is there anything that could make this even more perfect?"

She shook her head. "No, this is the best vacation."

"I'm not talking about the vacation. I meant us."

"It can't get any better than this. I have everything I could possibly want."

"There isn't anything else that could make this better for you?"

She paused before answering. "Nope, nothing at all. I'm so happy. I don't need anything else. Is there something you….need?"

He smiled. "No."

He kissed her, walked over to the sofa and sat down, with her straddling him.

He leaned his head back against the back of the sofa.

He was high and drunk.

She looked down at him and giggled. "You are so done."

He closed his eyes. "Almost."

"I think I've only seen you drunk once. That night we conceived Jacob. You were so drunk that night."

"Drunk and frustrated."

She leaned down and kissed him, before making a pathway down his neck.

He moved his hands up into her hair. "Are you trying to take advantage of my weakened state?"

She grinned. "Yes."

"Good, because I plan on letting you."

"Jason, you are so easy. Didn't your mother teach you not to be so easy?"

"I'm sure she did, but as you know, I don't remember any of it."

She looked up at him and laughed. "You and that sense of humor again."

Brenda sat up and looked down at him, running her hand down his bare chest. "This thing is amazing."

Jason opened his eyes. "Are you going to take advantage of me or what?"

She moved off of him and stood up. "Take them off."

Jason stood up and without hesitation removed his shorts and underwear.

She pulled the strings on her bikini bottoms and tossed them to the side.

He wasted no time in picking her up.

She wrapped her tongue around his as he joined their bodies…...

Jason, Brenda, and Jacob are on the beach lounging.

Brenda left briefly to get some sunscreen.

Jason watched as she approached them.

She was wearing a tiny red bikini and she looked amazing.

He couldn't wait to take it off later.

Brenda plopped down.

She rubbed some more sunscreen on Jacob, helped Jason with his, and Jason returned the favor.

Jason was playing with Jacob.

He was burying toys and digging them up.

They had been doing that for a while.

Jacob was having trouble finding his latest toy.

Jacob started pointing and yelling. "Di! Di! Di!"

He couldn't say dig but he was trying his best.

Jason told Brenda to have at it.

She asked Jason where it was.

He pointed to the spot.

She started digging. "Oh, oh, Jacob. What is in here? Will we find it?!"

Brenda was using her hands to dig.

She pulled out Jacob's toy.

He laughed and grabbed it.

There was something else.

"Hey, Jacob, we have something else! Here it comes!"

She picked it up.

It was a black box.

"Look, Jacob. I wonder what's inside?!"

She opened it. "It is a…ring." She looked at Jason. "Where….did this come from? This isn't Jacob's. Who would bury a ring? And it's really nice. Do you think someone lost it? You think it's real?"

Jason smiled. "Yes, it's real."

She frowned. "How do you know?"

He answered her question with a question. "How do you think?"

She asked the question again. "How do you…know?"

He grabbed her left hand. "I put it there for you to find it. Brenda, I told you I don't want to waste anymore time."

Her eyes widened. "Jason Quartermaine, are you serious?"

He nodded. "Very."

"Is this what I think it is?"

"It is."

She was so confused. "But you don't want to get married. Jason, you don't have to do this. I'm fine with the way things are."

That was not the reaction he thought he was going to get.

"I would have never gotten the ring if I wasn't serious. You don't like the ring? We can get another one."

"Jason, the ring is beautiful, but we don't have to do this."

"You don't want to get married?"

"Jason, you don't want to get married."

"If I didn't, I would have never purchased that ring. Brenda, I thought you would be happy."

"I don't know how I feel. I didn't think this was in the cards for us."

"Brenda, I'm telling you it is. I thought you wanted to get married?"

"I do. I mean, I did but-"

He lowered his head. "You just don't want to marry me."

She had never seen that look on his face.

He was hurt.

She needed to explain.

"Jason, it's not you."

"Here we go, it's not you, it's me. Is that what you were getting ready to say? Brenda, if you don't want to marry me, you don't want to marry me. I'll tell you what, you can pawn that ring too."

"Jason, that is not fair."

Jacob crawled over and got into Brenda's lap.

He started whining and rubbing his eyes.

It was time for his nap.

Jason started gathering his toys and placing them inside a bag.

"He's tired, let's just go back up to the house."

She stood up with Jacob in her arms. "Ok, but we really need to talk."

Jason shook his head. "It's not necessary."

"Jason, don't be like that."

He didn't say a word, he just kept walking.

They all headed back up to the house.

Brenda put Jacob in his crib inside of the master suite and turned on the baby monitor.

She set out to find Jason.

He was downstairs sitting in the living room.

She walked in and sat the baby monitor on the table.

She sat down next to him.

The small black box was still in her hands.

Jason got up and walked towards the door.

Her eyes followed him. "Jason, where are you going? We need to talk."

"Not right now, Brenda."

She stood up. "Yes, right now."

He stopped before reaching the door. "You didn't hesitate in marrying Jax."

"That's not fair."

"Yes, it is fair. It's also the truth. You didn't hesitate….at all. Even knowing how much I loved you."

He opened the door and left.

She followed him. "Jason, don't leave. Let's talk. Remember what Kevin said, we still have to communicate even when it is hard."

He ignored her and continued walking towards the beach.

She yelled. "Jason! You know I can't follow you because Jacob is here! I'm asking you to come back! Please!"

He didn't even look back.

He just continued walking.

She yelled. "Fine!"

She went back in and slammed the door…

She was sitting on the sofa when he walked back in ten minutes later.

"Jason, I really think we should talk."

He sat down next to her. "Brenda, there isn't anything to talk about. You don't want to marry me. I'll just have to get over it."

"Jason, you know that's not true."

"If it wasn't you'd be wearing that ring not just holding the box."

He looked over at her. "Do you really love me?"

"What kind of question is that?"

"The kind I'm waiting for you to answer."

She frowned. "Of course, I love you! You know that."

"Sometimes you don't act like it."

"Jason, you don't mean that."

He leaned back on the sofa and stared up at the ceiling. "Yeah, I do mean it."

"Baby, I don't think you understand. It really isn't you, it is me. I don't deserve this." She opened up the box and looked at the ring. "I haven't earned it. The only thing I have done was be in an accident. If this came in a year or so, I would probably feel differently. I haven't earned this. We haven't been back together long enough for you to trust me again. We are still trying to figure this out. I know you don't want to waste time but we can't ignore the fact that I've hurt you. Rushing into marriage would be a mistake. You don't want to marry me."

Jason corrected her. "You don't want to marry me."

"Why wouldn't I? You are great, Jason. You are a wonderful father. You are loyal and dependable. You are a man of your word. I would never have to wonder if you would do anything to hurt me. Emma saw all of those things, that's why she asked you to marry her. She knew what she had. I just didn't. I should have never ran away to Paris. I should have stayed and made you listen. You are worth fighting for, more than any man I have ever known. You have seen the worst of me and you are still here. You are the catch. Of course, I want to marry you. I love you. I just don't feel like I deserve this right now."

He shook his head. "I disagree. I think we should get married. I think it is the perfect time. I think we have earned this. We have been through a lot and we almost lost this forever. I don't care why we ended up back together, because we are together, and it's right. I know that and that is all that matters. I have forgiven you for what happened with Jax."

"I don't know if you really have. You still get upset if I even mention Paris."

"I'm human, Brenda. But I have forgiven you. I wouldn't be here if I didn't. I'm not holding some deep resentment. If I was…we wouldn't be here. Again, I only brought it up, because it still happened. You married him, but you won't marry me. The person you say you love."

"I never really thought it was something you wanted to do. Not really."

"I guess seeing my grandparents and their commitment to one another changed my mind. It's more than just a piece of paper. I want to do more than just be together. I want to make a commitment to each other. Hell, I want that paper. I want it with you. I want my ring on your finger. I can still remember seeing Jax's ring on your finger. It never belonged there. You were never his."

She agreed. "No, I wasn't. I just did a really dumb thing and it almost cost me everything. I can't believe I was actually going to give you up."

Jason smiled. "Me either. You were going to give us up."

Brenda looked down at the ring. "It feels like a lifetime ago when we were standing in that church…alone…after everyone had left. It was just us and those awful flowers. I was so angry and hurt. I really hated you."

"I know."

"You hated me too."

He sighed. "So much has changed since that day."

Brenda nodded. "We have a son. Thinking about where we started and how much we used to fight, I would have never guessed we would end up here."

"I'm sure we will still fight sometimes."

She smiled. "Jason, this ring is beautiful."

He took the box from her and removed the ring. "It would look better on your finger."

She looked down at the ring. "I can't accept it."

"You are still saying no?"

"I'm saying not right now."

She could see the disappointment in his eyes, as he placed the ring back in its box.

"Jason, I love you. How could I not love you? I just don't want you to rush into anything. I don't want to take advantage of you."

"No one could take advantage of me, Brenda. I just have to accept that you are not ready."

"I'd marry you today. I just haven't done anything to earn this ring. I ran off and married someone else, just because we had an argument. You were really upset with me. You know it and I know it. You didn't want anything to do with me. Not like that. Then I was in the accident-"

"I don't want to marry you because of the accident, although I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me see things clearer. One of us can be taken tomorrow, I don't want to waste time. Brenda, I love everything about you, even the things that drive me crazy. I want to build a life with you. I want you as my wife. You deserve this ring because of everything you have brought to my life. I was living an empty life before I fell in love with you. I don't care what I said that day outside my house. Life was not simpler, it was empty."

"I just don't want to disappoint you, Jason."

He touched her face. "So don't."

"Do you really want to spend your life with me? The girl who screws up all of the time."

"I do, but I plan on doing that anyway. I just would rather spend it as your husband."

She searched his face. "Are you really ready?"

"I am. There is nothing that would make me happier but I don't want you to feel like you have to. I will be disappointed, but I'm not going anywhere."

"If you really want to get married…." She smiled. "Ask me."

"What?"

"You never asked me to marry you. Or should I ask you? I realize it is what you are used to."

He grinned. "You are so funny. Are you sure, Brenda? I don't want to make you do anything you are not ready for."

"Like I said, I'd marry you today. I'm ready. Especially, if you are. I told you, you are the catch."

"No, I disagree."

"Well, ask me."

"I have never done this before. Should I get down on one knee?"

She shook her head. "No, I like you up here."

"I feel like I should get down on one knee. I can hear my grandmother and mother saying, get down on one knee."

"Jason, all you should do is ask?"

He got down on one knee.

Now, he had to find the right words.

He started to get nervous and that rarely happened.

She could tell he was having a hard time.

She grabbed a hold of his hand.

"Jason, I could just answer. You know what? You don't really have to ask."

"No, I'm going to ask."

Brenda thought it was so cute.

He had no problem giving her the ring.

He did have a problem asking her properly.

"Jason, I really mean it-"

He held up his hand. "Give me a minute."

He grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes. "I love you more than you could ever comprehend. I honestly cannot imagine my life without you in it. I would love nothing more than to be your husband. I want us to grow old together and have a family that drives us crazy, but we love more than anything in this world. When we got back together and we slept in the same bed for the first time in a long time, I realized that just waking up with you next to me is something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I know we could have all of this without getting married, but I want to marry you. It's important. It's important to Jacob and our future kids. Brenda, I love you. I didn't start living and loving until the day I first kissed you. You make me happy. Will you share this life with me as husband and wife? Partners forever."

Tears slipped down her cheeks. "Jason, I would be honored to be your wife. Of course, I will marry you."

He slipped the ring on her finger and they embraced….

It's later and Brenda and Jason are in bed.

She was still on this incredible high and in disbelief.

"Brenda, we don't have to have a big wedding. We can go to the courthouse, I don't care. I just want to marry you as soon as possible. I don't want a long engagement."

"Jason, I am not going to a courthouse. I want to share this with all of our loved ones. I want them to help us celebrate. It doesn't have to be a huge affair. We can have it at your grandparent's house. Maybe in the garden? Only our closest family and friends will be in attendance."

"Ok, fine. I don't want to spend a year planning a wedding. I just want to get married. I think we should get married as soon as possible. How about one month from now?"

"A month?"

He nodded. "Yes, a month. I need for you to be in a white dress or whatever color and me in a suit-"

She interrupted. "Tux."

"Ok, tux." He continued. "Jacob and a justice of the peace to officiate. I need for us to be somewhere saying I do. I don't want to waste any time."

"Jason, a month is quick."

"It's not quick enough."

She grinned. "Did you take out insurance on me or something?"

He laughed. "Yes, one dollar."

She shook her head. "One month is not enough time."

"Yes, it is. We are having a nice small wedding. It is plenty of time."

She nodded. "Ok, a month it is…"

Brenda and Jason have just arrived at his family's house for dinner.

It's the day after they got back home from their vacation.

They were a little tired, but the Q's really wanted to see Jacob, and they really needed to pick up Sam and Jack.

Jason pressed the doorbell.

Seconds later the door swung open.

Reginald welcomed them in.

As soon as they were inside, Jacob practically jumped out of Jason's arms.

Jason placed him down and he headed straight for the great room.

Monica met him before he made it.

He squealed when he spotted her.

They were extremely close, but the same could be said for the rest of the family.

They loved Jacob and he loved them…..

They have just finished dessert and are in the great room, having their after dinner drinks.

Edward, Lila, Alan, Monica, and AJ were all in attendance.

They were fawning over Jacob, and he was eating it up.

Jason and Brenda were standing off by themselves.

He asked if she was ready to tell them and she nodded.

He slipped the ring back on her finger. "May I please have everyone's attention."

They stopped what they were doing and turned towards them.

"We have decided to get married."

Brenda really should be used to him by now, but she wasn't.

He literally just blurted it out.

AJ clapped. "Now, this is more like it!"

Edward agreed. "I could not agree more. Well, isn't that splendid."

Monica teared up and hugged them both.

There were hugs all around.

Lila asked if they had a date in mind.

Brenda looked at Jason. "We are planning on getting married...in one month."

Monica looked at Alan and back at them. "A month?"

Jason repeated it. "A month. We don't want to wait. We have wasted enough time."

Edward agreed and looked down at Jacob. "I agree. I think you two are almost two years too late."

Brenda looked at Edward. "We would like to have it here, in the garden...if it's ok?"

Edward frowned. "Of course, it's ok. We won't spare any expense either. It will still be just as grand."

Jason made sure that his grandfather knew that they didn't want any of his business associates at the wedding, only close family and friends.

Lilla assured them both that they could have whatever they wanted.

She couldn't wait to start planning.

Monica sat down. "There is just so much to do."

Lila wasn't worried, she knew it could be done, and still look as if it took a year to plan...

Lila and Edward wasted no time.

Their engagement was announced a few days later.

Within a week the invitations went out.

Brenda and Jason didn't have to do anything.

Brenda trusted LIla and gave her free reign.

She planned a wedding once, she was more concerned with the marriage this time around.

And Lila had exceptional taste, Brenda knew they were in great hands.

Their wedding might be small and intimate, but her dress was still going to be grand…..

Brenda and Jason are at home sitting on the sofa.

She was holding one of the invitations. "I cannot believe this is happening. We are getting married. I could have never imagined this a few months ago."

He leaned over and kissed her. "I'm just ready to do it. The day isn't coming fast enough. I should have just taken you to Vegas."

"Married by Elvis, that would have been so romantic."

He laughed. "It could have still been nice."

"In what world? I have never seen a nice Vegas wedding. Not the kind that are in those chapels. I don't need an extravagant wedding, but I don't want to take a picture with Elvis in front of a fake cake either. I am just so grateful to your family. They are handling everything. Look at these invitations. They are out of this world."

Even Jason had to admit that they were well done. "They are great."

"We have to do something for them. I don't know what, because they don't need anything. We'll figure out something." Brenda looked at the date on the invitation. "Three weeks to go…..."

That next week flew by.

Before they knew it they were having an engagement party.

Edward flew all of their close family and friends in.

Everybody was there except Robin but she would definitely be flying in for the wedding.

The party was so nice, you'd think it took months to plan.

Lila put her best people on everything and it turned out great.

If Brenda was worried about the wedding, which she wasn't, she definitely wasn't now after seeing that engagement party.

It was spectacular and everyone had so much fun.

It was perfect…..

After the engagement party, time really flew by. Before they knew it, they only had a couple of days before the wedding.

Brenda was in town doing some last minute things and decided to stop by Kelly's on the way home.

She just could not stay away from Kelly's.

She was obsessed with their coffee.

She had just picked a couple of cups for her and Jason, and was on her way out, when she ran into Sonny.

"Sonny, hi."

"Hello, Brenda."

He looked down at the ring on her left hand.

She didn't even give him time to say anything. "I don't expect your congratulations."

"Not even if my life depended on it."

"That's fine. I get it."

"No, Sweetheart, you don't. You have his child and now you are marrying him. The blade of the knife isn't even visible at this point."

"No one stabbed you in the back, Sonny."

"That isn't what it feels like."

"Sonny, for what it is worth, I'm sorry you are hurting. I really shouldn't care but I do."

"It isn't going to stop you from marrying him."

She didn't respond.

He sighed. "I'm sorry for everything. I thought I was keeping you safe. I was actually pushing you into the arms of my...best friend, and I use that loosely."

"Sonny-"

He didn't let her finish. "I don't wish you well. I'm done lying. I want you back. I'm not going to interfere because that will push you further away. I'm going to always love you. You will always be the love of my life. There might be other women but there will never be another you. If he slips just once, and I do mean once, I'm going to be there."

He looked down at the ring, up at her, and then went inside Kelly's...

Brenda didn't tell Jason about her encounter with Sonny.

Sonny promised that he wouldn't interfere, and she was holding him to that.

She knew it was hard on him, but they were over.

He needed to move on…..

Jason, Brenda, and Jacob are sitting at the table having dinner.

"Jason, I can't believe we only have one day left to go."

"Me either, I'm ready."

"Me too, I can't wait to be Mrs. Jason Morgan Quatermaine."

Jason decided to become a Quatermaine again, while also keeping Morgan because he wasn't exactly the same as he was before the accident.

He thought that it was important that they all had the same last name.

The same as Jacob's.

Brenda would officially change hers too, after the wedding.

Brenda grabbed a hold of Jason's hand. "Are you really ready to be a husband?"

"The question is, are you ready to be a wife?'

She smiled. "I am beyond ready. Jason, I've never asked you this, but what do you expect from me as your wife?"

"I expect you to be you, that's it. What do you expect from me?"

"To love me for the rest of your life."

"That's easy."

"Even when I make you angry? Because there will be those days."

"Yes, I hope you will do the same for me."

"Jason, you never do anything. Except that time you kissed that skank, oh and told me I had daddy issues."

Jason laughed.

Brenda did not think that was funny. "That is not funny. Do you really think I have daddy issues?"

"I was angry, Brenda. I don't know what I think."

"You are trying to spare my feelings. I asked Lucy and she said the same thing."

Jason laughed. "Look, whatever issues you have, I'm still going to marry you."

He leaned over and kissed her.

She broke the kiss. "Jason, I don't think I have ever told you this, but you make me want to be a better person."

"You make me want to be a better person. We are better people together."

They kissed again.

Jacob, who was sitting on the other side of Jason, started trying to get out of his high chair.

Brenda grinned. "I think he is feeling a little left out."

Jason took him out and handed him to Brenda.

She started planting kisses all over his face.

He burst into laughter….

It's later, Jacob is in bed, and Brenda and Jason are sitting on the sofa.

Jack and Sam were sitting at their feet.

It was their last night together before becoming husband and wife.

She would be staying at the Q's tomorrow night.

She is laying in between his legs.

Their fingers are intertwined.

"You know you don't have to stay at my family's house tomorrow."

"Isn't it bad luck to see me on our wedding day, before the wedding?"

"I don't know what is supposed to be bad luck or what isn't. Honestly, I don't believe in any of that. We make our own luck."

She turned to look at him. "I guess, I can leave that morning?"

"It works for me. Brenda, if you want to stay there you can. It is your call."

"I mean, it's not like you are going to see me in my dress. I think it will be fun to spend the night before our wedding with you. God, I cannot wait to be your wife."

"You know I can't wait. This month has been hell."

"I think it flew by."

"I don't. I have been ready since that ring was placed on your finger. Waiting a month was hard."

She stood up briefly and straddled him. She leaned her head against his chest. "The wait is almost over. I have these butterflies in my stomach. Jason, I think we are going to have a good life."

"I know we are."

Exactly, one month after they got engaged….

Monica and the rest of the Q's have just taken their seats out in the garden.

It was the day of Brenda and Jason's wedding.

Monica couldn't believe just one month ago, they told her that they were getting married.

It seemed like yesterday.

She looked at the garden, it was beautiful.

She had to give it to Lila, who didn't panic at all.

She just picked up the phone and put her best people on it.

Monica continued to take it all in.

It didn't look like a rush job, it looked breathtaking.

There were only about thirty people in attendance.

That's how the bride and groom wanted it.

They didn't even have bridesmaids or groomsmen.

It was just going to be them standing up front, starting their lives together, as husband and wife, along with Jacob.

Edward grabbed a hold of Lila's hand. "This day could not be more perfect."

Lila smiled. "It is a lovely day."

"Just to think our love created this, our family. A family that continues to grow and when we are gone, a piece of us will still be here."

He leaned over and kissed her cheek…

Jason was standing near the front, it was almost time for the ceremony.

AJ and Carly were standing next to him.

They were getting ready to take their seats.

AJ placed his hands on his shoulder. "Are you ready?"

Carly answered for him. "Of course, he's crazy about her."

AJ smiled. "Don't think I don't know it."

Jason was hardly listening.

He was just ready to see his bride…..

Robin had flown in.

Lois, Lucy, and even Julia were there.

They all helped Brenda get ready.

Her dress was gorgeous.

It had lace detail on the top and bottom.

It was sheer on top with perfectly placed lace flowers, to cover the most important parts.

It was mermaid style but it flowed with ease at the knee.

The dress was simply spectacular.

Brenda was lucky to get it on such short notice.

Designers typically liked at least six months' notice, but somehow they pulled it off.

Her hair was pulled up and she wore a long veil that was also made of lace.

She was simply a vision…...

Brenda was in the library because it was almost time.

There was no one in there but her.

Her sister and friends have all left.

They had to go take their seats.

The ceremony was about to start.

It was so quiet.

Eerily quiet.

She thought she could hear her own heart beating.

She told herself to just keep taking deep breaths, because she was so nervous.

She flashed back to being in that church, when she was supposed to marry Sonny.

Being humiliated.

It was the last thing she wanted to think about, but there it was again.

She could even smell the flowers.

She took a deep breath.

Jason was not Sonny.

He was not Sonny.

She started getting anxious.

She wondered if Jason had taken his place yet.

What if he had cold feet?

What if he started thinking about all the things she'd done?

Her hands were shaking now.

She wondered where Reginald was?

He was supposed to let her know it was time.

What if they were waiting on Jason?

What if they couldn't find him?

She took a deep breath.

All of sudden a calm came over her.

She smiled to herself.

Jason would never abandon her.

She knew that.

The door opened.

She didn't even hear it.

"You look beautiful."

She turned. "Jason, what…are you doing here? You are not supposed-" Her heart dropped. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I decided to come get you myself."

He walked towards her...his blue eyes dancing, still in awe of the way she looked. "I knew you would look great, because you always do. I just wasn't expecting this. I can…hardly speak."

She smiled. "I'm glad you like it, but you are not supposed to be here. It's bad luck."

"We make our own luck."

He kissed her.

She had tears in her eyes. "You know…for a minute…I thought you weren't coming."

He took his thumb and wiped her tears away. "I figured you would be worried."

"No, only for a minute. But then I remembered what type of man I was marrying. You would never."

"No, I would not. Look Brenda, you are human. We both are. I was there, you don't have to explain anything."

"I'm ruining our day."

"No, you are not. You could never ruin our day looking the way you do. I told you I would always come and get you. And I would never abandon you."

"I know that. I do. You didn't, even when you didn't like me all that much. You know that day in that church was the beginning for us. That is when we began our journey to get here. I believe everything happens for a reason. That happened and this moment…was the reason. I was not supposed to marry him. Even when I foolishly married Jax, it never felt right. It didn't feel like this." She touched his cheek. "…this feels like forever. Who knew, when we were the only two left in that church, that we were each other's destiny?"

"The universe knew it."

He grabbed her hand and kissed it.

She smiled. "That day in the church all I wanted was for you to leave. Now, it's the complete opposite."

"Crazy how things turned out."

She started giggling. "We are really getting ready to do this?"

He nodded.

She closed her eyes and opened them. "Nope, not dreaming."

He smiled. "Nope, not dreaming."

"Jason, I love you so much. You really are the great love of my life."

He raised his wrist to show her the watch she bought for him. He smiled. "No greater love than me."

She smiled. "Facts."

He leaned over and kissed her. "I love you. You are my everything. You complete me. You take my breath away everyday. Let's get married."

At that moment Reginald knocked and opened the door. "Are you ready?"

They looked at each other and at the same time answered. "Yes."

Moments later they were walking hand in hand down the aisle….

The End.
