LOVE THAT HAS BEEN LOST CHAPTER 7
Present Day
Jake is finishing up his last patient before he heads home and prepare dinner for his family when he hears a very familiar sound of heels that cause him to turn around and there she was it was like the very first time he see her again minus the blood head. He smiled and walk towards his family, he kissed his daughter and son and he stop and stared at his wife whom he haven't seen for the last two months, he just kiss her on the lips quickly because they have the kids.
"Hey, I've missed you guys" Jake said then hugged his kids
"We missed you too dad, Henry won't stop talking about how excited he is to see you again"
"Is that so? Why didn't you miss me?"
"No" Angela said in a kidding tone "Yeah I did" and they laugh it out Addison look at her family she thought to herself that she's very lucky to have this amazing man whom he just met in her hospital room 10 years before. She snap out of her thought when she heard her husband talk
"I'm going to finish this chart and then we're heading home"
"Okey" Addison said
They sat at the lounge of the hospital waiting fo Jake. Addison look at his children whose happily talking Angela and Henry are very close to each other even though Henry is alot younger than her, then Addison reminisce the time when Jake introduced her to Angela
Flash back
It's been few months since Jake and Addison started dating. Their relationship is going strong, though there's a lot of bantering, misunderstandings, too determined and too stubborn that caused cold beds at night and few days not talking at each other even so they make up for their differences and make it up with hot sex which makes their relationship perfect
It's a slow night for both Addison and Jake, they are sitting in the cafeteria drinking coffee and enjoying each company
"Addie" Jake started with a serious tone that alerted Addison
"You sounds serious what's wrong?" concern are evident in her voice
Jake shake his head "nothings wrong" he stared at her for a moment which confused Addison
"Baby if there's something bothering you you can tell me" reaching out for his hand trying to comfort her boyfriend
Jake take a deep breath "now or never" Jake thought "Addie, remember when we told each other that we got each other's back and no secrets will come between us" Addison nods he can see that she's nervous but he continues "I've been keeping something from you" he stared at her "I have a dau-"
"Daddy" both Jake and Addison turn and see who's voice that belongs to. And there's a little girl approaching to their table, when she came close Jake stand up and hugged her father he hugged her back
"Hey pumpkin, what are you doing here?" As they release their hugs
"I haven't seen you lately so I asked May to bring me here to say good night. Good night" then she kissed him on the cheeks and when she realized that her father wasn't alone she turns to her.
"Addie this is my daughter Angela, Angela this is my-" he isn't sure if she wants to be her girlfriend still after she found out that he has a daughter. He looks at Addison looking confused, but Addison smiled at him and went to the little girl and stood to her level
"Hi Angela, I'm Addison" she introduced herself and smile
"Your hair is red, you're like Ariel" the kid look amazed. Addison laugh
"Yes I am" long paused of silent "you wanna sit with us?" Angela looked at his father and nods, she sits in between Jake and Addison
"Angela how was your day at school" Addison asked
"It was great, I played with my friends" she kept talking about her day when she stop and stare at Addison and asked "are you my dad's girlfriend?" caught Addison and Jake of guard and spit there drinks
Addison who cough it out "Angela how did you know this things" Jake said
"Dad I'm not a little girl anymore" and turned to Addison "are you?"
"Angel-"
"Yes I am" Addison cut him off
There's a silence for awhile then Jake's pager goes off, he hesitantly take it and look at Addison who nods at him saying he should go and they need a girl to girl talk, when he got the message he nods to her kissed the top of their heads and say temporary goodbye to his women
"Well I guess we need to talk" Addison said
Angela hesitated at first she isn't the kind of person who trusted people easily, but when she looked at Addison's eyes there is something about this woman that lacks from her father previous ex's. Addison has this honesty and compassion and love even though she's not saying it with her mouth but in her eyes
"Do you love my dad?"
"Is it too soon to for that?" She looked at her "I like your father a lot maybe in time I could say that I love him because he is not that hard to love but for now my answer is I like him a lot" Angela nods
"I just don't want him to get hurt again, his the only one I have since my mom died. I can't take it if I see him being broken by someone" Angela said with full vulnerable in her voice she isn't afraid or be embarrassed showing how her father is important to her with Addison because she knows she won't judge or mock her. Addison just nod at her
"I won't hurt your father, I'll try my best to make him happy.. to make you both happy if you let me" she hesitated because she just met the kid but she saw this smile on her face the smile of approval and welcoming
"Thank you" Angela said
They both talk about a lot of things from high school experiences, boys, make up and other girls stuff until Jake came back and heard his women laughing he smiled then he knew this is the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
Addison snap out of her flashback when she felt a tap on her shoulder she look up and saw her husband with concern look
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine babe, are you ready to go?"
"Actually I need a consult is it okay?" He nervously asked
Addison raised her eyebrows "yeah" she answered went to talk to their children
"Angela your father and I will see a patient just for a little while would you mind wait her and look out for your brother?"
"Yeah mom" Addison nods both her and Jake go see the patient
While walking to the patient's room Jake kept wondering why Addison zone out and what is it about
"I was remembering the time I first met Angela" out of nowhere he heard Addison's voice telling him the answer
He smiled thinking how she knows him so well and said "I haven't asked you yet"
She stop so is he and look at each other "we've been married for almost 10 years, I know how you think" he leaned closer and kissed her in the middle of the hallway where everybody can see that causes Addison to pull away "Jake were in the public" she laugh
"Were in the present" Jake said and wink at her. They continued walking to the patient's room
