Chapter One

Hinata

Slowly I sit up and look around the room I'm in. What happened? I don't know where I am. But it looks like no one's been in this room for a while. Except for me of course. The room looks like any other hospital room, but the windows are closed, there's dust everywhere, and it's kind of dark.

The last thing I remember is fighting Neji in the Chunin exam preliminaries, but that must have been a while ago. Looking down at myself, I look different, my legs are longer, my dark blue hair now longer and soft, my hips wider, and my chest-

Flustered I look away from myself. What happened to me? Why am I so different now? I feel different too, I know so much about medical chakra and healing, but I never learned that did I? Slowly, I slide off of the hospital bed, and watch the dust fly as my feet fall to the floor. Activating my byakugan I look around, there are two people coming closer, and I can almost feel the waves of medical chakra flowing off of them. Then further back there's another person, but there's darker chakra pulsating from them, and there's a lot more than what normally comes from a person. Strange.

The door creaks open and a blond woman with pigtails walks in, while another one with short black hair and a small pig follows.

"Hinata Hyuga you woke up earlier than expected." the blond one says. I frown and open my mouth to ask a question but am quickly cut off.

"Tsunadae shouldn't we tell her gently-?" The lady with the short black hair stars but the blond one, Tsunadae I'm guessing, cuts her off. "No." She says then turns to me, "Hinata you've been in a coma for the last seven years. You were more aware than most, probably some effect of your cousin's chakra, and since you're perfect for a medic-nin with your smarts and byakugan, we have taught you about everything you need to know."

"I know this might be against your wishes, but during the war, we needed as many medic nins who could fight as possible, so we 'trained you, but you didn't wake up," Tsunade says gently. Her voice is softer now, and I get the feeling she genuinely feels bad.

"It's okay Tsunade-sama," I say softly, and bow my head. But what war? How many things happened when I was asleep?

She gently pushes my head up and says, "We have someone who'll help you get back to normal, as things have changed quite a bit. Shizune go get him." Then Shizune, the black-haired lady walks outside the room and comes back in with someone. He has black hair and eyes, pale skin, and the cold hard expression I've seen somewhere before. I think he had the dark chakra I sensed before "Our very own Uchiha Sasuke." Tsunade smiles, Sasuke just groans and crosses his arms. I'm guessing Tsunade loves making people feel uncomfortable. W

But wow, Sasuke's changed a lot since we were little. I wonder if he still has all those fangirls. Though I wasn't one of them, I have to admit he looked kinda good. Ah! What am I thinking! I should pay attention to Tsunade instead of daydreaming.

Tsunade's talking to Sasuke, something about how this is his punishment for leaving the village. Did he leave the village? Wow, I missed a lot. "Now you better watch over Miss Hyuga here, and if she has any complaints you'll be in even more trouble, don't let anyone see her before Lord Sixth can announce she's back."

"Hn," he replies. Tsunade smiles then walks out, and Shizune scrambles after. "Let's go," he says once they're gone.

"W-wait!" I squeak, he turns around and stares back at me with those cold hard eyes. "What do I wear?" I stammer out, I don't want to go walking around the village in my hospital gown, and no wonder my old clothes won't fit me now.

"Tsunade has provided clothes at my house for you." He says then walks out. "You won't be staying at the Hyuga compound until everything's back to normal. Lord sixth figured your family would pressurize you on certain things that you aren't ready for." I nod, that sounds like my family. I wonder who the sixth Hokage is, what happened to the third Hokage? Did we really go through that many Hokage's so fast?

Sasuke leads me out of the hospital and I stop to look up at the moon. It's been more than seven years since I've been able to see the moon. "Hurry up," he says. Though I do see him steal a glance up at the night sky. Smiling, I hurry after him through the deserted streets of Konoha. Finally, we reach a big building, and Sasuke nods to guards as they open the gates. So this is where he lives? Must be the Uchiha compound. We walk inside and the house is completely empty, it's dark and lonely. Poor Sasuke, I forgot he has no one. Sasuke leads me to a room with white walls, and a bed in the center. There's a closet filled with clothes, and a note taped to the door of it. Sasuke walks over and plucks it off the wall. "Tomorrow Kakashi will announce you're alive to the village."

"He's the h-hokage?" I ask, surprised.

"Lord sixth." Sasuke nods, "Tsunade was the fifth. Now go to sleep we'll wake up early tomorrow and while we train I'll tell you what happened."

I nod, then smile and say goodnight, he just slowly nods and walks out. Looking in my closet I almost faint from surprise. All that's there are fishnet, short shirts, shorts and a bunch of other clothes I would never wear. What was Tsunade-sama thinking? Flustered at the thought of wearing these, I search through the closet and a few minutes later, triumphantly hold up my find. It's a simple, lilac-colored qipao dress and underneath it, I'll wear these dark purple shorts. I don't understand who would wear any of the other stuff in the closet, but at least I found something. Satisfied, I sprawl on the bed and grin. Tomorrow I get to see my friends! Plus I'll get to go home and meet Hanabi, Nii-san, and father! I might have missed out on a lot, but I'll get to experience so much more, I'll be a medic-nin! Smothering my face into a silk pillow, I go to sleep the happiest I've ever been in a while.

There! First chapter finished. I would've brought Sasuke with me to say goodbye but he was being a jerk.

Sasuke: I heard that.

Just let me finish. Please?

Sasuke: Who's stopping you?
