Chapter 2

Adam Pov

I was walking to my new school West Valley high and was hoping to meet some actual friends there. On the way I saw a flyer for a karate dojo called "Cobra Kai" it had words on it like Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy along with a terrifying looking snake. Those words kind of seemed to put me off since teaching kids to start fights, and finish the well you know didn't seem to sit with me all that well.

I powered through the day until lunch where I faced a problem on what table to sit at and there a lot of table to sit at and a lot of people stared at me. Saw a bunch bullyish looking guys trying to bust open a vending machine, nerds, cool kids and the whole lot.

I didn't know where sit but I bumped into another Hispanic kid, almost knocking down his tray.

"Oh I'm so sorry" I apologized profusely while waving one of my hands out

"Don't worry its alright" he replied with a smile "I'm Miguel, new here" he said extending his hand

I shook his hand in return "Adam, new as well"

"So you wanna find a place to sit instead of standing here like idiots" I asked

"Yeah sure" he said while walking next to me.

We walked over to table with two almost nerd looking guys, a tall skinny looking one, and a shorter blonde one.

"Mind if we sit here?" Miguel asked to the two people who seemed to be in shock

"Sorry" the tall one responded sarcastically "tables really blowing up, I can put you two on the wait list but its probably next semester at the earliest"

"Okay" Miguel replied looking down on the ground in embarrassment

"No I'm kidding sit" he frantically exclaimed whilst gesturing to the empty seats on the table which seemed to be all of.

"Miguel" Miguel told them

"I'm Adam" I quickly followed

"Demetri, this is Eli" the newly named Demetri said pointing to the guy next to them "he's a man of few words"

"Dude don't torture yourself" I heard Demetri say "those are the rich girls"

"You ever talk to them" Miguel questioned

"Oh yeah all the time, we hang out after school, make out, give each other hand jobs" Demetri once again said in a sarcastic tone which made me chuckle not so subtly "Eli here's the homecoming king gets laid more than anyone, isn't that right Eli" whilst Eli had a goofy grin smacked on his face.

"Talk to them?" Demetri switched backed to his normal "you realize what table your sitting at right?"

"Should we?" I asked, I mean I just moved here I didn't want to deal with bullies and what not

"You pretty much signed away all hopes of losing your virginity before college" he finished

"Oh shit" Eli whispered "Yasmine looking at us, probably just making fun of me"

"I don't think she's making fun of you?" Miguel attempted to comfort him "I mean just because their hot doesn't mean their mean"

And after a few more minutes Miguel trying to comfort Eli and Demetri just looking at him like he was weird, Miguel stood up

"Uh what you doing" Demetri asked

Miguel replied with a vague "Striking first" as he began to walk over to the girls and something in head clicked, Striking First just like on the flyer for that Karate dojo I saw earlier, but this Miguel guy didn't look bad if anything he was the opposite of what that dojos principles were so maybe the dojo wasn't as bad as I thought.

After 10 seconds he came back a huge frown on his face, If that weren't bad enough Demetri again mocked him by asking "so how'd it go?"

"So" I dragged out the word "what was up with those striking first, I saw that a dojo flyer before"

"Oh yeah almost forgot about" he blurted out whilst dipping into him yoghurt "I just started at Sensei Lawrence's Dojo, he gonna teach me karate so I stand up for myself against Kyler and his friends, any of you guys wanna join?"

"Sure I'll go check out it" I answered since this dojo did peek my interest though me joining wasn't set in stone.

Eli seemed keen to join but Demetri butted in saying "Count me out"

"What? why?" Miguel asked him

"I'd rather stay home reading Dungeon Lord than getting kicked in the face" he replied and Miguel let out a sigh

"What about you Eli? You wanna join?" I asked him

He seemed to want to join but before he could reply the bell went for next period

"Oh well see there tomorrow" Miguel reminded me

"Yeah sure" I just answered walking over to my next class. So many thoughts were going through my head, but one rose above all Why did Cobra Kai seem so familiar?

Okay so that's chapter two and sorry it took a while to get this up. So I have a few questions like first off all who do you think this guy should be paired up with since I open to suggestions such as maybe Tory in season 2 since I could make that work? And once again feel free to let me know what I did good or bad with this chapter, and have a good one.
