For the last week Bill has been torn up inside over the hitting Steffy with his car, more brooding than his normal brooding demeanour. Despite the police ruling it an accident, he replayed it over and over in his mind, was distracted after his argument Katie, was he not paying attention to the road, so many unanswered questions. All he could think about was the pain he had cause Steffy, yes, she had no life threating injuries and she was home again with Kelly, he just could not get the accident out of his mind.

The past few weeks had been filled with uncertainty Ridge moved back out of Brooke's house and Bill moved out of his home with Katie and Will; he didn't want Will to have to move again. Justin and Allison assumed that the brooding was a result of moving out and no longer being with Katie, the problem was deeper, something changed in him during that accident.

A few days after Justin and Bill came to blows of his brooding and snapping at everyone around the office, Bill asked Allison to use more discretion than normal and see if she could find someone who he could speak with him, threatening her job in the process. Something which was not common, usually Justin and Allison didn't feel the wrath of Bill and his temper like others in the Spencer tower did.

" Mr Spencer?" Dr Amador is a man of short stature, standing on the other side of Bills desk. A man who looks to be in his mid-50s and yet is wearing a bow tie, after a minute or so he spoke again. "Mr Spencer, I am a therapist, I don't like being summoned to an office after hours, I have an office and appointments available if you are wanting an appointment"

"Do you know who I am?" Bill asked as if the man standing in front of him, was meant to respond, "I am Bill Spencer, I can't be seen to be seeing a therapist, I can't be seen in a therapists office, I can't"

Dr Amador could sense hesitation in his voice "Mr Spencer this is not how I work; I am happy to work with you but as I said this is not how I see clients"

Clenching his fists, Bill started to seem agitated by his comments "why don't you tell me what has brought me to your office at 7.30pm at night?"

Bill gestured for him to take a seat "a few weeks ago, I hit a motorcyclist" taking a deep breath in "Steffy is fine now, it was ruled an accident, but I can't stop thinking about it"

"Is the girl you hit, Steffy, is she alright?" Dr Amador asked with some hesitance.

"Yes, she's home now with her daughter. She suffered some broken ribs and a sprained back, I just can't stop thinking that I could have killed her, I could have left Kelly without a mother" the pain could be heard in his voice.

Dr Amador could sense how uncomfortable Bill is, speaking about the accident. "Mr Spencer, you speak about the woman you hit with some familiarity, do you her?"

After taking a deep breath, Bill hesitated before responding "Yes, she is the mother of my granddaughter Kelly, she was married to my son. I had no intention of ever hurting her but it's all I seem to do".

Dr Amador took a moment to process what Bill was saying, what his body language was saying before responding "So it's the accident that you want to talk about?" seeking clarification from him.

"It's not just the accident, I understand the accident was an accident. The events of late, the events that led up to the accident is what I am struggling with." The tone in Bills voice changed "I've hurt a lot of people and this accident has made me realise that despite not wanting to do this, I might need someone like you"

"There is nothing wrong with going to therapy, I see lots of people from all different walks of life" but before Dr Amador couldn't finish what he was saying before Bill interrupted him "I don't want people knowing about this, and I don't want to go to your offices. Here, in this office, in my office, after hours, those are my conditions" speaking as though this was a business proposition.

After a few moments, Dr Amador responded "Mr Spencer, if I agree to your terms, you need to agree to mine, this is a two way street, there is work involved and you may not like what I say at times, can you accept this?" Standing from behind his desk Bill put his hand out, as Dr Amador rose from his chair and the two men shook hands. As he let go of Bills hand, he says "during our sessions I will call you Bill and you will call me Xander, we are equals in these sessions" as he turned and left the office. Once alone Bill sits there looking at the night sky from Spencer towers, thinking back to his visit to Steffy and Kelly last weeks, the smiles from that little girl always brought a smile to Bill's face.

….

At the beach house, Steffy is resting on the couch watching Kelly. Kelly seems so happy playing on the floor with her dolls, little did she know that her mum had had such a close call the week before. The little girl giggling and laughing as she hugs and kisses her doll, trying to feed it a pretend bottle. Hearing a knock at the door Steffy looks confused, not expecting any visitors picking up her phone to check the doorbell camera she was able to see that it was Bill. Speaking into her phone "Bill, the door is open" she said.

As the door opens Steffy looks at Bill, with surprise in her voice she says, "I wasn't expecting you, was I?"

Smiling at her, he replies "I know you weren't but I wanted to stop past and check in on you and Kelly, I can go if this is a bad time or you don't want me here after everything?" Steffy could feel the hesitation, the uncertainty in Bills voice, something which was unfamiliar to her. He was usually a confident certain man, who knew his own power and knew how to make others aware of that power.

"Of course, you are welcome, you are always welcome. Kelly would love to see you." replying with a slight smile, "I would get up, but it's been a long day, and I'm feeling a little sore". She could see the concern coming back across his face.

"Can I get you anything" such concern in his voice made her realise how much pain Bill was still in since the accident.

"No, Bill, its ok, I am ok, it's just been a long day, I will have an early night when Kelly goes down" replying with lightness in her voice, not wanting him to be on edge.

Well I am here now, picking up the little girl and giving her a massive hug. Sitting down on the floor with Kelly he asks her "is that your baby? Can I give her a hug?", she hands her little doll over.

Sitting on the couch, watching Bill playing with Kelly, Steffy reached for her phone, taking a photo of the two of them sitting on the floor playing dolls. Chucking to herself caused Bill to turn with a curious look on his face, wondering what was so entertaining to her.

"I wonder how much an image of the great Dollar Bill sitting on the floor playing with dolls would fetch me?" Turning her phone to show him an image him and her little girl, her blonde pigtails matching that of her dolls and the perfectly dressed Bill holding her little doll in its pink dress.

"I wish you the best of luck selling that" turning back to the little girl giggling "Miss Kelly, I think your mummy thinks she is funny" speaking as though Steffy was not listening to them.

Resting her head against the couch cushion watching them two of the play, her eyes beginning to feel heavy, slowly giving into the feelings of exhaustion. Getting up off the floor and walking over to the couch the Bill pulled the blanket off the back of the couch, resting it on her before gently kissing her forehead, turning back to the little girl giggling and playing on the floor. What he thought was going to be a short visit turned into and afternoon with his granddaughter, he liked being there with Steffy and Kelly, knowing that she would still see him after the accident.
