On Today's Episode: The spies head downtown and infiltrate the radio tower to find Snit's lair and put an end to his schemes, but they quickly find out that he's preparing his true scheme as they speak. Can the spies triumph over the self-proclaimed "master of disguise", especially when he pulls out a fierce pair of disguises for the final showdown?

Act 3: Lifting the Veil

8:00 P.M. – Downtown Beverly Hills

Radio Tower

The spies looked around at the dank environment in the radio tower. While the observing continued, Alex, Haruka, and May got a case of the jitters at the current conditions.

"Yikes, this place is creep city when it's dark!" Alex exclaimed.

"Hey, yeah, why are the lights off here?" Nozomi wondered.

"I just hope we didn't unknowingly pass a light switch or something," Blaine commented.

"More importantly, what're we looking for?" Mat wondered.

"We must be looking for whatever Snit's got up his sleeve. I wouldn't be surprised whatever it is," May answered.

All thirteen of them saw a lot of TV screens that surrounded them; it was almost like every one of their moves were being monitored.

"Look at all of these screens, too," Britney observed. "I'm seeing a lot of Final Fantasy on them for some reason..."

"Did he stock up on some certain readings or something?" Clover wondered.

"It's probably how Snit researched who to make disguises for. And honestly, I'm expecting him to turn into at least one more Final Fantasy villain before we're through with him," Nick deduced.

"Kinda shocked you immediately figured out all those villains," Britney commented.

"Thanks to May, I know a lot more about Final Fantasy than I ever expected to," Nick admitted.

"I'm almost succumbed to believe that his villain choices are becoming a bit too predictable," Alex stated.

"I'm not arguing there," Dawn replied.

"Now the question becomes, who's it gonna be?" Melissa wondered.

"I don't know, but either way, my Sonic Mode can take him," Bridget proclaimed.

"Hell, we ALL can take that sleazy joke," Sam quipped.

"Yeah, it doesn't matter how many dumb disguises he tries to hide behind, we'll take him down for sure!" Dawn exclaimed.

"My question is, where is he?" Nozomi wondered.

"And why does this strange diagram look very suspicious?" May wondered as she scooted closer to one of the computer consoles to check out what it said. "It looks like something he plans to do with the radio tower itself..."

"...wait, what if he's planning to use the radio tower to broadcast his toxic gossip crap all over the city?!" Clover gasped.

"That does sound like something he'd do," Blaine responded.

"That means we need to find him quickly so we can shut this nonsense down," Sam stated. "It was bad enough when Mali-U was filled with arguing people, so I don't want to imagine all of Beverly Hills doing that."

The spies made their way down the hallway until they came to a lobby area, where Snit was waiting for them, already in a new disguise.

This disguise turned him into a young woman with sandy blonde hair cropped above the shoulders, blue eyes, and wearing a white and gold cropped shirt over a leather waist swath and a bright pink miniskirt secured by a thick light-blue belt, metal thigh-high leg-guards and a pair of gold metal open-toed shoes with darker pink stockings.

In Snit's hands was a rather fancy-looking longsword that he was aiming menacingly at the spies.

"I applaud you for making it here, spies," Snit laughed. "But this is as far as you go."

"Okay, who did he turn into now?" Britney wondered.

"That would be Princess Ashelia, one of the main characters of Final Fantasy XII," May quipped. "He's even got the Treaty Blade, too. At least he pays attention to detail..."

"I see you've discovered my true plan," Snit proclaimed. "Quite ingenious, isn't it? The populace is so gullible, after all, since they'll believe practically anything some random voice tells them, without even bothering to fact-check what they're being told. With my brilliant device, I can use the city's radio tower to spread my word across the entirety of Beverly Hills."

Snit hefted his sword threateningly. "However, despite the fact that my machine is ready to go... there remains one problem," Snit growled. "And that would be you. I have to get rid of all of you before my plans can proceed."

"Oh, just stop your yapping and bring it on!" May shouted, activating her Emergency Gadget Transporter so she could summon her anchor and charge towards Snit, with Nick and Alex right behind her.

While May started swinging her anchor at Snit, he swung the Treaty Blade to counter each strike May made, but this only left him open to a Final Shine Attack to the back, courtesy of Nick. While Snit was stumbling, Alex equipped a Metal Masher Boxing Glove and punched Snit in the chest with it, sending him flying backwards across the room.

"You'd think that would hurt him a lot more, honestly," Haruka quipped.

"Maybe his disguises give him a little more defense?" Nozomi wondered.

Snit recovered quickly and swung the Treaty Blade, actually causing a wave of energy to erupt from the blade and force the spies to scatter to avoid getting hit by it.

Bridget skidded to a stop before opening her X-Powder. "Good luck hitting what you can't see, buddy!" Bridget shouted. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Snit swung the Treaty Blade towards Bridget, but only sliced the air where she had just been. Bridget came rocketing back and forth, landing as many hits as she could before sending Snit flying into the opposite wall with a lightning-fast uppercut.

May tossed her anchor like a javelin, and Snit just barely avoided getting hit in the head by it, but this gave Clover and Blaine the opportunity to surround Snit and then punch him from both sides, dazing him long enough for Blaine to send him into the air with a flying kick.

Clover reached up to grab Snit by the legs and powerslam him into the ground multiple times.

"That's for trying to weasel your way into my boyfriend's head, ya jerk!" Clover proclaimed.

Blaine sprayed a bottle of Ice King Cologne to freeze Snit's lower body to the ground, giving Nick all the time he needed to blast Snit point-blank with a Final Shine Attack that shattered his Ashelia disguise and knocked him right to the floor.

"Well, that's that," Nick proclaimed, aiming his right hand for Snit. "Anything to say for yourself, buddy boy?"

"Oh, this isn't over yet, spies," Snit laughed, quickly getting to his feet. "I still have my trump card to play."

Snit took a few steps back and activated a different command on his disguise belt, causing his whole body to shimmer and wobble before transforming him into a levitating, horned translucent humanoid surrounded by multiple silvery orbs.

A holographic display camera set up on the roof activated, turning the lobby room into what appeared to be the rooftop of a tall skyscraper underneath an unnatural-looking blue sky.

"All right, I didn't expect him to disguise the whole freakin' room," Clover quipped.

"So, which Final Fantasy villain did he switch to now?" Sam asked May.

"That's not from Final Fantasy," Nick responded as he prepared himself for a chaotic final battle. "That thing's The Emperor Type Alpha, the final boss from The House of the Dead 2!"

"He really went that old school just to fight us?" May gasped. "I'll admit this much, Snit has some taste. I never thought he'd pull that one out of his sleeve."

"NOW PREPARE TO MEET YOUR DEMISE, YOU DAMNED INTERLOPERS!" Snit bellowed, his voice deep and distorted due to his disguise as he approached the spies.

"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself," Nick quipped as the spies prepared themselves.

"Besides, we're gonna take you on and win!" Haruka proclaimed.

"Believe that!" Alex exclaimed.

"All right, Nick," Mat remarked. "You know this villain better than all of us, so what's this one's weakness?"

"If this disguise is anything like the Emperor was in the game itself, I'd start by attacking the red thing in its chest that looks like a heart," Nick explained. "But be careful of those orbs flying around it."

"Try all you want, but you won't get it," Snit sneered and commenced an attack.

As was semi-expected, he went straight for Nick.

"Cheap attempt," Nick smirked and used his psychic powers to block Snit.

"Anybody else find it weird he's going for female villains?" Clover wondered.

"I was thinking the same thing," Bridget replied.

"I don't think there's as many black marks against him as Vince King, though," Mat commented. "At least in that department, anyway..."

"Not gonna argue with that," Dawn quipped. "Part of me finds his female disguises laughable."

"You'll regret saying that!" Snit snarled. "THE BOTH OF YOU!"

"Wanna bet?" Clover sneered back.

Sam and Alex stepped up as well next to Clover with gadgets of their own.

"Overconfidence is totally contagious," Sam quipped.

"Got that right, Sammy," Alex laughed.

At then, the rest of the spies stood on the sidelines while the three main spies took on Eugene Snit himself.

Snit swiftly approached the spies and sent four of his orbs to attack them, and they all scattered to avoid the flying orbs of doom. While this was happening, Clover sprayed a few of the orbs with Ice Queen Perfume, causing the orbs to drop to the floor and leave Snit's weak point exposed. Alex moved in to blast the red heart organ with an Electromagnetic Curling Iron.

While Snit was stumbling from that blast, Sam shot her Expandable Cable Bungee Belt so that its grapple clamped onto the Emperor's face, allowing her to zipline over and bash Snit in the face with a double-footed flying kick.

"Nice one, Sammy!" Mat exclaimed.

"Allow us to help as well," Nick quipped and fired several psychic shots at him.

"Advice for heroes, number eighteen," May remarked. "Help on the sidelines is always needed."

"Got that right," Melissa quipped.

"You opened the floodgates, you meddlers!" Snit snarled.

"That's a floodgate we're happy to open," Nozomi quipped.

That was when Britney had an idea to use the Dynamite on a Stick since that wasn't strong enough to blow up a building. Bridget saw what was going on, and she kept her mouth shut. Britney then looked to throw the Dynamite on a Stick directly into Snit's path.

"You're gonna be dust in..." Snit cackled until he managed to step on the Dynamite on a Stick. "Oh, crapbaskets..."

There was an explosion that sent Snit down on his feet.

"Good thinking, Brit," Haruka commended.

"I guess that's what they mean when they say 'that first step is a doozy,' after all," Melissa laughed.

"Don't say I didn't warn you..." Snit growled and turned his attention to the other spies.

The three main spies knew they had to do something, but what?

"You know, I don't know why I'm wasting my time with you meddlers," Snit laughed as he approached the spies, the orbs surrounding him all flying out to attack whoever was closest. "Yes, that's right! Flee in terror, you wretches!"

"You're wide open, dumbass!" May shouted as she rolled under one of the orbs, then lunged forward to attack Snit while he was distracted, bashing the red heart multiple times with her anchor until Snit backed off.

However, May realized too late that Snit had only fallen back to call all of his orbs back and strike her with every single one, the sheer force of the attack sending May crashing into a nearby radio pole (probably a wall in the actual room).

"May, you okay?!" Nick exclaimed as he rushed over to help May back to her feet.

"Mostly," May quipped. "Nothing really bruised but my pride..."

Nick helped May up before glaring at Snit. "You're gonna pay for that," Nick growled.

"Ask me if I care!" Snit laughed as he re-gathered his orbs to start attacking again, only for Nick to blast him backwards courtesy of a Final Shine Attack to the face.

Alex made her way forward as well, hitting Snit with a blast from a Sonic Disintegrator Boombox, the blast causing two of the orbs to shatter.

"Hey, I think that means we're getting somewhere!" Alex proclaimed.

Clover jumped onto a Head For Cover Hoverboard and rode it straight into Snit's chest, making sure to strike the red heart in the process.

Meanwhile, May threw her anchor towards Snit, bouncing it off of the red heart, then Nick grabbed it with his psychic hold so he could guide it around, smacking the red heart multiple times in a row and eventually causing another two orbs to shatter.

"You haven't beaten me yet, spies!" Snit exclaimed as he lunged forward, only to double back in pain. The reason? Bridget had transformed into Sonic Mode and charged forward to punch him in the 'lower deck' with a Metal Masher Boxing Glove.

"Oof, I felt that one," Nozomi quipped.

"He's probably pretty lucky that his disguise is protecting him, otherwise that would have been a lot worse," Bridget responded before dashing away to avoid retaliation.

"We need to find a way to end this before he can get one over on us," Sam proclaimed. "I haven't played House of the Dead, so I don't know what other tricks this disguise has up its sleeves."

"Um, question," Dawn quipped. "Are we gonna fall off of this building or not?"

Bridget sped back towards the edge of the building, only to touch a seemingly invisible wall. "Nope, it looks like we're good on that front," Bridget stated. "Let's just focus on pounding this super-zombie thing into mashed potatoes."

"And I'll add the gravy to that!" Melissa proclaimed as she brought out a Helicopter Hand Fan. Knowing what to do, Dawn jumped on Melissa's back and brought out a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer as Melissa took to the sky with it so they could both fly around and take potshots at Snit.

After a few cycles of this, two more orbs shattered, leaving only two more, but Snit quickly gathered those two remaining orbs and transformed them into a bladed lance connected to his right arm. Snit then rushed at the spies and slashed his blade towards them, though May was able to counter it with an anchor swing.

"At least he's not turning those orbs into the other game bosses," May quipped. "That would be weird."

Sam quickly stopped in her place when she realized what Snit had just done.

The orbs he'd summoned for this disguise were really the only things protecting the obvious weak point.

And he'd just turned the last two into a weapon, leaving his weak spot completely exposed.

"TREMBLE IN ABSOLUTE TERROR, YOU PATHETIC WEAKLINGS!" Snit shouted as he continued to slash at the spies.

"He's really lost it now, hasn't he?" Britney quipped. "You girls wanna end this?"

"Oh, I'm all for that!" Alex giggled.

Nick and Mat nodded to each other, knowing what the girls wanted to do, before rushing in, dodging Snit's wild swings in the process, and spraying a batch of Ice King Cologne to freeze Snit's lower body to the ground.

Nick jumped back and raised his hand to corral Snit in his psychic grip.

"All right, ladies, he's all yours," Nick proclaimed. "Sock him good."

Sam, Alex, Clover, and Britney all charged in to attack the helpless Snit with whatever gadgets they had on them, before hopping backwards and blasting Snit directly in the chest with a four-pronged Electromagnetic Curling Iron blast, finally shattering his Emperor disguise and causing Snit to drop to his knees in defeat.

Nick fired a psychic bolt towards a corner of the "sky" and destroyed the holographic camera creating their current location, causing the rooftop to fizzle out and leave them back in the radio tower's lobby room where this fight had started.

"Anything left to say for yourself, Snit?" Britney growled.

Snit could only stare at the four girls as they approached him.

"That's what I thought," Sam proclaimed as the four girls all dogpiled on Snit.

After a few seconds, Snit was out cold, with Sam, Alex, Clover and Britney looking very proud of themselves.

"Okay, that felt good, especially after all the trouble he's given us," Clover quipped. "Nick, mind bubbling him up?"

"With pleasure," Nick replied, raising his right hand to encase the out-cold Snit in a psychic bubble. "Now let's get out of this place so we can lock this guy up and hopefully not have to deal with him for a long time."

"I definitely concur!" Britney proclaimed as the spies made their way out of the radio tower.

"Nice job everyone!" Sam commended.

The four main spies all shared a group high-five since they did most of the work.

"Well, this case is officially closed," Bridget quipped as Sam got out her X-Powder.

"You bet it is," Jerry stated as his visage appeared. "Excellent job again, spies."

"Thanks, Jer," Haruka quipped.

"And W.O.O.H.P. is arranging to have you spies taken back to Mali-U," RiCO added.

"Thanks, guys," Clover quipped.

The Spies' Penthouse

Almost everyone was enjoying some dinner... except Alex wanted a swim, and Nick was taking a bit of time to himself. Mat was also prepping for the 2008 Seattle Supercross since that was the most recent race.

Nick's time was interrupted when Alex, decked in a bikini, peeked in to ask Nick if he wanted to join her.

"Yeah, sure," Nick answered. "But... we should really talk... about earlier."

"Nick, everything's good," Alex replied, but Nick shook his head and gently threw his arms around Alex.

"I still feel like I need to apologize again," Nick answered.

"Seriously, Nick, you don't have to," Alex proclaimed. "I'm just as much as fault for what happened, too. But it's like May said, what you and I have is too strong to be ended by a dumb argument."

"...sometimes, I wonder how I got so lucky to find myself with an amazing girlfriend like you, Alex," Nick laughed.

"Hey, if anything, I'm the lucky one," Alex giggled.

"Hey, isn't that my line?" Nick teased as he and Alex leaned in for a kiss, their lips meeting halfway.

May couldn't help but smile from afar as she watched Nick and Alex practically making out.

"Mind if I take a little spaghetti, Mat?" Bridget asked.

"Yeah, help yourself," Mat answered.

He happened to see Melissa ask and he motioned that it was OK for her to take some for herself, too.

"Mat, were you gonna watch your race again?" Dawn wondered when she saw the TV.

"If nobody minds, yeah," Mat answered.

Nobody did; Mat then took the TV just in time to see Nick and Alex come out dressed to swim.

"Get it while you're young," May laughed.

Alex was the first to jump into the pool, with Nick following close behind. Nick saw an opportunity and dove slightly deeper, glad he could actually swim worth a crap nowadays.

Unfortunately, Alex had noticed him and juked to the side to avoid his grab, then lunged forward to grab him.

"Got you," Alex giggled.

"You sure did," Nick replied, leaning in to kiss Alex. But just as things were about to possibly get steamy...

"PIRATE DIVE!" May exclaimed, changing into her own swimsuit and cannonballing into the pool, just barely missing Nick and Alex.

Nick and Alex nodded to each other, then jumped forward to dunk May.

In the meantime, everyone had finished their dinners, save for Nick and Alex, who came back, one notch closer together like Sam and Mat were before.

"Sounds like a date," Blaine told Clover after she'd asked him about going for a walk around campus at the park.

"I still have a bit of spaghetti left if you want," Mat told them as the main was minutes away from starting.

"Great, we'll take some," Alex replied.

As it turned out, there was enough for a serving for them both.

"Hopefully you're gonna be happy soon," Clover told Mat.

"Well, we'll see," Mat stated. "Just because Reed's got a 13-point lead doesn't mean it's etched in stone."

Melissa chuckled at this from Mat, as did Sam and Britney.

Nick and Alex came back with their dinners as the Supercross class main was beginning. Calling the race were the usual crew of announcer Ralph Sheheen, 1997 Supercross champ Jeff Emig, and pit reporter Erin Bates.

Yamaha's Chad Reed and Honda's Kevin Windham did exchange heat wins again, and Team Suzuki's David Vuillemin had taken a provisional to make the main event, which meant the field would be 21 riders instead of the usual 20.

Jeff: I think our points leader is back.

The gate dropped for the main and Windham was out front early with Reed getting a mid-pack start.

Ralph: Reed went to the inside... and WENT DOWN! He's down in the first corner! Chad Reed is down!

Jeff: Off the track – he has to get back on...

Mat was REALLY worried as a replay eventually came up.

Jeff: The 22 does not get the bump – or get the jump – he gets bumped by the 40 of [Josh] Hill and drives in... tries to sneak around the inside, and gets clipped just inside with Davi Millsaps...

"Oh gosh...!" Mat chastised as the race went on with Kevin Windham leading.

Ralph: This could be HUGE in the championship!

Jeff: This is exactly what Kevin Windham needs – to get out front, win the race, get the maximum amount of points, and have something happen to Chad Reed. But I'm telling you guys, Chad Reed is on the gas today! I think he is healthy! If anybody can work his way through the pack, it's gonna be Chad Reed.

"I still believe in ya, Reed!" Alex proclaimed.

"You've got this, buddy!" Nozomi exclaimed.

"I'd hate to see Reed lose his points lead," May stated as Reed got around a downed rider.

"Uh oh..." Mat stated before anybody could say anything else.

Jeff: ...oh, Kevin Windham's got a tuffblock cover on his bike – it's on the right side...

Ralph: Oh...

Jeff: If that gets in the rear wheel, where the rear brake is...

Ralph: Jeff... oh, IT DID! OH NO! KEVIN WINDHAM... OF ALL THINGS – IT LOCKED UP ON HIM!

Windham had come to a complete stop and managed to throw it off. It turned out the cover hooked on his right footpeg.

Jeff: It's clear – he has to get the bike started. Reed has not came by yet...

Ralph: There he goes!

Jeff: Where's Chad Reed?!

Ralph: He fell all the way back behind David Vuillemin, so that's about 7th. Unbelievable stories here!

"Man, this is getting pretty intense," Nick quipped.

"Took the words right out of my mouth," Melissa replied.

"Keep going, Reed! Never surrender!" Dawn proclaimed.

A replay showed Windham's right footpeg did indeed clip that tuffblock cover. Inheriting the lead was #29 Andrew Short on the Factory Honda.

Ralph: Windham is listed in 5th right now, and Reed is in 12th. So, what does this do to the points? Right now, as Reed battles with [Jeff] Gibson, it's Reed by ONLY 6! That would cut it in half from the 13 that they came in here with.

Jeff: Well, with 15 laps to go, you gotta think this is gonna change...

Mat was sighing in relief that Chad Reed got a lucky break, even though he didn't get past Windham. Sam and Britney took his sides.

"He's still got a chance," Sam stated.

"We believe in him," Britney replied.

By lap 5, Reed was already on the edge of the top 10. He got around Honda privateer Ryan Clark on his #39 and was on the tail pipe of his former Yamaha teammate David Vuillemin on the #12 Suzuki.

Ralph: There's Andrew Short, our race leader. He's got about a second and a half on Davi Millsaps. So, the Honda riders going 1 and 2. Here is Windham, and, Erin, he's up to 5th right now trying to catch Josh Grant, who's having a phenomenal run.

Erin: That's right, guys. Well, Kevin Windham's got a little bit of backup this weekend having his teammate Josh Grant racing up in the 450 class. It seems like it's coincidental; it wasn't team tactics that were intentional, but it is going to work out for his best interests. If Josh Grant is a smart man, he knows his team is going to be very disappointed if he doesn't move out of Kevin Windham's way.

"Team tactics?" Clover wondered.

"That means that the guy who's got the best shot at the title needs to finish ahead of them all, so they have to let him through," Mat explained.

"Makes sense," Britney commented.

Jeff: Okay, we're on lap 7 of 20, but it is not too early to start thinking maybe there's some Honda orders – some orders from Honda – that Short, Millsaps, and Josh Grant are ahead of Windham. This starts to wind down, do they get the orders to let Windham by?

Ralph: Do you let Ferry win it then?

"No way!" Mat proclaimed.

Jeff: Ferry lives down there in Florida, and he's friends with Reed.

Mat kept looking at the results and it showed Reed in 7th behind 2004 World Supercross champ Heath Voss on the #13 privateer Honda (Chad Reed's former Yamaha teammate).

There was then a replay of Windham getting around Grant for 4th place. As it turned out, Grant and Windham had connected bikes, and Grant had looked out of the way to see that was Windham behind him and let him by.

"That could have ended in many different ways," May quipped.

"No kidding," Alex stated.

Ralph: All right so that puts Windham up to 4th, with Reed in 7th.

Mat started feeling better that Reed was only 3 spots behind Windham as a replay came up of Reed's pass on Voss.

Jeff: Just triples up, triples off again, and triples one more time. Reed really putting in a good ride at this point.

Ralph: And there's Windham another straight-away over there...

"Nice move by Reed," Mat replied with another sigh of relief that Reed wasn't going to lose his points lead.

"I think I know what you mean by a lead like that possibly going away," Bridget told Mat.

Haruka nodded in agreement.

With 10 laps remaining in the 20-lap main event, Andrew Short still had the lead with Davi Millsaps in 2nd, and Kawasaki's Tim Ferry #15 in 3rd.

Ralph: Jeff, Windham is closing in on Tim Ferry. He's about 3 seconds behind. There you see Ferry, Kawasaki #15 and here comes Windham!

Jeff: Windham is on the gas, but I'm tellin' ya, Chad Reed just nailed down a 51.9... that's the fastest lap of this moto. That's Chad Reed; Windham also running very fast – 51.3! That last lap, that was a faster one...

With 9 laps to go, Reed had gotten up to 6th. Momentarily, he got around Grant for 5th place.

Jeff: ...at the stripe, it is Chad Reed from down in the first turn... all the way back up to 5th with only 8 laps to go!

"Looks like Reed's gonna keep his points lead for good," May stated.

Ralph: Jeff, you know what's amazing is that when you win a championship, yes you have to be good, you have to be fast, but you have to be lucky! And how lucky is Chad Reed this year – falls down in the first corner, Windham's got the lead, looks like he's gonna make a huge points gain on him, and Windham picks up the tuffblock cover!

Jeff: Well, I think one of the luckier things when you consider the scope of the championship would be different, but there's SEVEN of the top factory stars that are sitting at home watching this. Seven riders that in this situation, Chad Reed goes down in the first turn, he'd have to work his way past those riders. It'd be much tougher to work his way past [Ivan] Tedesco, Grant Langston... (Ralph: Stewart, Alessi...), all of those riders than it is through part of the field that's here.

Ralph: But that would also have made it tougher for Windham as well.

Jeff: Yeah, in the same scenario, Windham instead of going back to 6th or 7th, he could've looked at a 15th.

"That's an understatement for sure," Mat replied in agreement with Emig's statement.

"Given all those guys are out, I'd agree as well," Blaine remarked.

With 6 laps to go, the top 5 started to bunch closer together, even with Reed turning in a 51.8 lap time. Windham then battled with Ferry for 3rd.

Ralph: Here comes Windham... thru the whoops, to the inside! Right alongside of Ferry, can't get the corner!

By the time the next section came up, Windham got around Ferry.

Jeff: This is a full two points Windham's trying to pick up right now!

Ralph: Oh, this is huge! HERE HE COMES! He got him and this Qwest Field crowd goes crazy! Now, does the Honda team orders come into play... 'cause Honda's 1, 2, and 3 now?!

Jeff: You gotta wonder! I sure wouldn't wanna be the boss at Honda making the call on that one...

"What do you think, Mat?" Nozomi asked.

"I don't know either," Mat replied.

Sam noticed Mat was beginning to hyperventilate as Short and Millsaps caught up to some lappers.

Ralph: Oh, look at this! Here they come! Dusty Klatt on the Kawasaki right there! Short gets to the inside! Here comes Millsaps... over the FINISH line jump! 4 laps to go!

Jeff: Klatt, you're in the way! There goes Windham by...

"Oh, here we go..." Alex quipped as Windham made his move for 2nd place on Millsaps.

Jeff: Whoa, there goes Windham through the whoops! He is letting it all hang out! He knows his championship hopes ride on a win tonight! He needs points... he needs positions!

Ralph: Jason Thomas on the 37 right in the middle of this battle! He's gotta get out of the way! Another Honda guy, but he's in the mix. Here comes Millsaps and Windham! Tremendous action! Windham on the 14, Millsaps on the 118! Apparently no Honda orders as they go BAR TO BAR! WINDHAM'S GOT HIM! HE PICKS UP TWO MORE POINTS!

Jeff: WINDHAM IS GONNA EARN THIS IF HE GETS IT! HE IS ABSOLUTELY FLYING! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE RIDE FOR KEVIN WINDHAM ALL THE WAY UP TO 2ND.

Ralph: He's closed it to 7...

Fortunately, Reed got around Ferry himself for 4th place.

Ralph (continued): And here comes Reed battling Ferry! Take those two points back that Windham just earned!

"Oh my gosh..." Nick proclaimed as the crowd started going wild.

Sam and Britney could see Mat was going out of his mind.

Jeff: Now, the Honda camp is counting on Andrew Short and Davi Millsaps to play the spoilers!

Ralph: They've gotta keep Reed behind them! Absolutely have to!

Everyone got on the edge of their seats.

Jeff: I'm telling ya I don't know if they can do it, Ralph!

Ralph: If he can get by Short it's THREE POINTS! THERE HE GOES! AROUND THE OUTSIDE, WINDHAM JUMPS... TRYING TO GET THE LEAD! HE'S GOT HIM!

"Holy crapbaskets, this is getting exciting!" May exclaimed.

"Tell me about it!" Nick proclaimed.

Windham had moved into the lead.

Jeff: THE FANS IN SEATTLE ARE ON THEIR FEET...

Ralph: WHAT A RIDE BY KEVIN WINDHAM! NOW, SHORT AND MILLSAPS HAVE TO KEEP REED BEHIND THEM!

It wasn't meant to be as Millsaps bobbled and Reed eventually got by Millsaps, much to Mat's delight.

Ralph: RIGHT ALONGSIDE, AND CHAD REED IS UP TO 3RD! Millsaps not riding overly aggressive either, Jeff! Not putting up much of a fight at all for his Honda teammate!

"He keeps getting closer," Haruka stated.

"Can he do it?!" Bridget exclaimed.

Jeff: Well, they're letting the champions race it out here! Chad Reed, what can you say about this ride? He has came from down in the first turn to 3rd place!

Ralph: I don't know which ride is more spectacular! Windham picking up the tuffblock and battling back...

Jeff: AND WITH A LAP TO GO I'M TELLING YOU... REED IS JUST A FEW SECONDS BEHIND SHORT AND WINDHAM! CHAD REED CAN STILL COME THROUGH AND WIN THIS RACE!

Ralph: ONE TO GO HERE IN SEATTLE! WHO'S GOT THE STRENGTH? WHO'S GOT THE ENDURANCE? WHO'S GOT THE HEART?!

Needless to say, everybody couldn't sit still at the racing. That was when Short bobbled in the first rhythm section.

Ralph: HERE COMES REED UP THE INSIDE! HE GOT HIM... OH HE FALLS! HE MAKES A MISTAKE!

Fortunately, Reed was still on his bike after that contact, much to Mat's delight and he sighed in relief again.

Jeff: SHORT ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED CHAD REED WHEN CHAD REED DID THE SLIDE JOB... HALF A LAP TO GO AND SHORT IS STILL HOLDING ON TO SECOND PLACE! HERE COMES REED ACROSS...

Ralph: WINDHAM... IN THE LEAD, SHORT AND REED BATTLING IT OUT! THEY GO PAST RYAN CLARK! REED, TO THE OUTSIDE, CUTS BACK INSIDE! HE'S GOT HIM AGAIN! SHORT, BATTLING BACK ON THE OUTSIDE, RIGHT ALONGSIDE AS THEY COME TO THE FINAL CORNER! KEVIN WINDHAM WINS! CHAD REED TAKES SECOND! WHAT A CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT! UNBELIEVABLE! THE TWISTS AND TURNS OF THIS RACE IN SEATTLE... ARGUABLY THE BEST OF THE YEAR!

Jeff: Wow, what a main event for Chad Reed...

Mat was relieved at the end result, but he immediately noticed Reed didn't stop next to Windham when Windham did. That was when Short, Reed, and Windham were exchanging words on the track.

Ralph: Unbelievable! If you wanna be the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross champ, you're gonna have to earn it cause nobody's gonna give you ANYTHING and they sure didn't here tonight in Qwest Field! He STOPPED! KEVIN WINDHAM STOPPED AND STILL WON, AND REED CRASHED AND FINISHED 2ND!

Mat certainly had lost his breath from that race, and he was clutching his chest. Everybody noticed it.

"Oh... my... goodness," Nozomi remarked after that race. "I think that makes it 10 points now, if I'm right."

Mat nodded, knowing Nozomi was right while Sam and Britney tried to get Mat to regain his senses, and the interviews with Windham, Reed, and Short were being shown.

"Holy crapbaskets, that one was intense," Nick proclaimed.

"That's what I've grown to love about motocross, or any kind of sport, really," May stated. "You never know just what's gonna happen next, because, as the old saying goes, it's not over until it's over!"

"No kidding," Mat responded. "I can't wait to see what happens next!"

11:09 A.M – Somewhere in Beverly Hills

The Next Morning

Sortiliena glanced around the area, still uncomfortable after getting a transmission from him that he'd be contacting her soon.

And that most likely meant he was going to "cash in his favor".

All Sortiliena could think of was Ronye and whether or not Terrence was going to keep his promise and let her go.

She'd never felt so nervous in her life.

Totally Spies: Starting a Snit Storm

~The End~

Final Author's Notes from Mat49324: And another project has been completed. We hope you liked this one, folks. The Blue Time Ranger and I certainly liked having a villain like Eugene Snit return again (like we did for In a Brit Snit) because all of Snit's disguises did give us ideas then and now (well, mainly Nick). Anyway, we finished this one, and we're not far off from the spies going back to their beach house for the summer. After our next project is when they do go back. For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger if there's anything he'd like to say.

Final Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's all, folks! Another one is in the bag!

As you can probably tell, I had a lot of fun with picking different disguises for Snit to change into over the course of this story. Unlike last time, though, I decided to throw y'all for a loop with the disguise Snit used for the final battle. I was this close to having Snit shouting the infamous "DOGS OF THE A.M.S." line, but I decided to refrain.

And as for next time, you may have noticed Sortiliena being nervous about whatever Terrence has in store with their "agreement". Welp, that's all gonna come to a head in the next episode, Come Undone, which will be posted by me. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Come Undone, and we'll see you next mission! (That line is so appropriate now that Metroid Dread is finally out, lol)

Sortiliena was still shocked at how she'd acted back in Tachikawa.

Even a couple weeks after that mission, it still bothered her, mostly because...

She didn't even want to think about Terrence was possibly doing to Ronye at the moment. Did he think that the way she'd acted was in violation of their agreement?

And speak of the devil, her 'other' communicator began to ring, indicating that Terrence was calling her. Steeling herself for the worst, Sortiliena answered the call.

"...what do you want, Terrence?" Sortiliena asked, her tone indicating she just wanted Terrence to get to the point. "Is Ronye still in one piece?"

"I haven't touched her yet, as per our agreement," Terrence answered on the other line. "But, I'm sure you know why I'm calling you now. It's time for you to play your part."

"...and if I do this for you, you'll let Ronye go?" Sortiliena asked again. "You promised, after all."

"Do I sound like someone who would break my promises?" Terrence chuckled.

Sortiliena wanted to say "yes, you would", considering who she was dealing with, but she refrained, not wanting to say anything that would get Ronye hurt.

"In fact, I'll make it easy for you," Terrence cackled. "I've got someone from the spies' rogues' gallery here with me, and I'm gonna let him loose so you can do your thing. You know exactly what to do."

A loud click signaled the end of the call, leaving Sortiliena to ponder how she'd gotten herself into this mess.

"...will they ever be able to forgive me?" Sortiliena wondered.

To be continued in Totally Spies: Come Undone...
