Fred's "NOT A LETTER":

A map of how to find the burrow should my Aunt ever decide to hit me again.

Dear Ellie,

Thank you for writing so soon, my Gran is shocked that it arrived only two days after the school year ended. She is happy about my having a foreign friend, it seems to lighten her, if that's even possible.

I do have plans! Seamus and I will meet and play quidditch every Saturday at his, and then for a week we will spend time at mine. I am worried, if I'm honest about how Gran will handle the two of us. She doesn't like mischief, and you know how Seamus is, although maybe you don't...

I'm glad to hear the first few days of wand exams are going well for you, and I know you'll be heading to the frozen north soon, but I hope we can keep writing!

Your friend,

Neville

Dear Ellie,

My mother and I are fighting. She is particularly upset with my idea to charm the milk out of the cows (some farm children are permitted to use magic during the summer) and she has decided I will only clean the pens for the next two weeks! I'm going to smell of horse and cow manure until we get back to Hogwarts!

I wish I could join you on your trip to the Arctic, it sounds very exciting (more exciting than stables, anyway...) I'm sure you'll make friends and learn so much! You'll have to share it with me when you come back to Hogwarts, which you are, right? Coming back? Please tell me you're coming back! I would be distraught if I didn't see your radiant face at the table when we arrive!

I miss you bunches and bunches, and more

Love,

Ivy

Dear Ellie,

Your first week sounds incredible! I know you asked after mum and dad but everything is fine and boring around here. George and I are working on a new type of candy that blows you to the size of a balloon if you eat it. We plan on trying it on some of the Slytherins next year.

Enough about that, tell me more about the Arctic, how cold is it now? How far can you see? What animals have you found? Have you been mauled by a polar bear yet?

Tell me it all, save me from the boredom of summer in England. Also mum thinks you'll be cold so she made you a jumper.

Hear from you soon,

Fred

Dear Ellie,

How interesting that the raw magic is so intense like much else at the poles, I wonder if you go further North how it will be effected? You'll have to keep me up to date.

Your last letter took some time getting here, I hope the weather conditions are favourable! I'm also glad to hear you have made a friend! The only girl that age with that particular group as well! She must be so relieved to have you.

I can't wait to hear about more of your adventures,

Hermione

Dear Ellie,

It's been some time since I've had a letter from you, if I said something to upset you, I'm dreadfully sorry. You know what a sod I am at making conversation... if you don't want to respond you don't have to!

Hopefully still your friend,

Neville

El,

Please respond. I'm worried.

Ivy

Ellie,

I hope all is well, just haven't heard back in a while. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Fred

Dear Ellie,

It's been some time, and your last letter was rather short...I do hope you're alright,

Hermione

To Those Who Have Been Pen Pals to Elenor Reed,

My niece has had a tragic event unfold in her life, and due to this she will be unable to continue with her letters. She was not harmed, and wishes for all her kind friends to know that she is well, but shaken.

She is glad to announce she will be returning to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the coming school term. Please reserve your conversations until then.

Again, thank you for your letters, and have a pleasant summer.

The First Minister to the Previous Seneschal,

Mary Farfeather
