Nick found Judy in the courtyard, used by police when they had their breaks. She was sitting on the boundry surrounding a miniature raised garden. The evening sky above was purple, and the courtyard was lit by the yellow lamps of the station.

"Hey Judes, thought I'd find you here," Nick said.

"What do you want?" Judy asked, refusing to look at him.

"Just thought you could use a friend," Nick said.

"Need a friend?" Judy said, hopping to her feet. "Do you really think I'm anything of a friend to you? Didn't you see what I become? What I've already done to you?"

Nick looked at Judy, "I know all that, but I also know that's not the real you."

"Not the real me!?" Judy shouted, "Who do you think that rabbit is in there then? You've seen what I can do, I am just one small step from becoming... Whatever that was in there."

"Wait, hold it," said Nick, holding up his paws, "Just one small step? Judy, I'm not saying what we saw in there isn't you, but I know that the you I know is not just one small step away from becoming that, that other you is the result of years of bad influences and taking the wrong path and bad influences, it's not a change that happens overnight."

"But you saw what I did with the taser," Judy's eyes began to fill with tears, "What I did to the giraffe, what I did to Clawhauser, what I did to you. Even what I almost did to my future self."

"Hey, nobody's perfect," Nick said, holding open his arms. Judy stepped into them and began crying. He patted her head.

"Besides," Nick continued, "it was sort of funny. Well, except for me, for me it wasn't funny at all."

Feeling the warmth of Nick's warm hug, Judy began to calm. "I'll never become like that."

"I know," Nick replied.

Suddenly, the sirens began blaring. Nick and Judy let go of eachother and looked around the courtyard.

As they raced inside, one of their fellow officers looked at them. "The rabbit prisoner, she escaped."

Judy and Nick reached her cell to find it completely empty. Chief Bogo and the guards were looking for any clues.

"I don't get it, the lock remains untouched, the cell shows no signs of being compromised," A guard said.

"What do you mean?" Chief Bogo, "A prisoner does not just escape without leaving behind any evidence."

But Judy was looking into the empty cell.

"I don't think the prisoner escaped."

Chief Bogo looked at Judy, "What do you mean 'didn't escape?'"

Nick looked at Judy, then stepped up beside her to address Chief Bogo, "What Judy means to say is, she is no longer going to exist."

But before any more questions could be asked, Clawhauser burst in. "Chief! We just received word on a fox..." he glanced at Nick, swallowing nervously, "according to the reports... he looks just like Nick."

Judy looked at Nick, Nick just shrugged, a sly grin on his face.

Looks like it was time to repay the favor.
