Chapter 3: Hunting
It is the next morning and I have woken up to my music playing on my phone. I woke up and turned my music off. Why was my music playing? I wondered. I turned my music on and laid back down. As I was about to go back to sleep, my mom, Uru came into my room. "Hey sweetie, time to wake up" Uru said. "Five more minutes" I said.
"We have breakfast Lana" Uru said. "Okay, I'm up" I said. "Okay, I will meet you in the cave" Uru said. "Okay" I said. Uru then left and I got up and changed. After I changed into my avenger's t-shirt and my black leggings, I grabbed my phone and walked into the cave. When I got to the cave, I saw the pride inside and my family inside. "You can take as much as you want, Lana" Uru said. "Thanks, mom" I said.
When I got the food that I wanted, I walked outside and made a small fire for myself. When I made the fire, I began cooking the food. After I cooked the food, I started eating the food when the food finished cooking. After I finished eating my food, I decided to go get a drink of water at the lake. When I got to the lake, I saw Ahadi getting a drink of water by the lake as well.
I tried to hide by the grass so he would not see me, but he saw me and looked at me. "I know your there Lana, I'm not stupid. now come out" Ahadi said. I reluctantly walked up to Ahadi. Ahadi gave me a glare. "You know trying to attack me is treason against the king, right?" Ahadi said. "Dad, what are you talking about?
I was not planning on attacking you" I said. "Yes, you were Lana. I saw you hiding in the bushes like you were about to strike" Ahadi said. "But dad, I was not..." I was cut off when Ahadi hit me hard in the face and pinned me to the ground. "No buts Lana! I know you were going to attack me! for that, you deserve a punishment!" Ahadi shouted.
"What type of punishment?" I said nervously. "For trying to attack me, you will go hunting for me. you will not come back until you find me some food" Ahadi said. "But dad, I have never been hunting before. I don't know how to go hunting" I said. Ahadi punched me hard in the face. "Silence! You will not talk back to me! You will go hunting for me now and that is final!" Ahadi shouted as he punched me again.
"Please dad I don't..." I was cut off when Ahadi punched me in the face again. "Shut up. Go and go hunting for me now!" Ahadi shouted as he punched me again. Ahadi got off of me and I stood up. "Now go" Ahadi said. "Yes, dad" I said. I got up and left. I walked deeper into the pride lands. As I was walking deeper into the pride lands, I found some deer. This was perfect.
I leaned down and prepared to attack the deer. When I attacked the deer, the deer ran away. I chased after the deer but the deer were just too fast for me and I could not catch up with the deer. I was exhausted and I lost the deer. damn, I couldn't catch a single dear. Ahadi is gonna be so mad at me when I came home empty-handed.
I tried some more to try and find some food but I could not. I checked the time on my phone and the time said 2:00 pm. I left at around 11:30 am to go hunting. I was out hunting for about three hours. My mom Uru, and my brothers, Mufasa, and Taka must be worried about me right now. I have to get back home right now before my family starts to worry. I began making my way back home.
When I got home, Uru and my brothers were laying in the shades. "Hi mom" I said as I walked up to her. "Hey sweetie, where were you? We have been worried about you" Uru said. "Yeah Lana, where were you?" Mufasa said. "Oh, I just went into the town for a few hours" I said. "Okay, but can you let me know when you leave? I was worried about you" Uru said. "Yeah, sorry mom" I said. "It's okay. just be sure to let me know next time" Uru said.
"Okay, mom" I said. "Hey Lana, do you want to play with me and Mufasa for a bit?" Taka said. "Sure" I said. "OKay, let's go play" Taka said. "Okay" I said. "Just stay in the pride lands and don't go into the shadowlands. and be sure to be back before sunset, okay kids?" Uru said. "Okay mom, we will" Mufasa said. "Have fun" Uru said as we left.
When we left to go play, we found a big open spot to play. I felt bad for not telling mom that dad forced me to go hunting. But I lied to her because I did not want Ahadi to find out that I told Uru because Ahadi is forcing me to keep this a secret that he abuses me. The reason is, Ahadi has promised to treat me with kindness and respect for Uru but he has not been showing that to me. The other thing I noticed is that Ahadi also abuses Taka as well.
"Hey Lana, what do you want to play?" Mufasa said. "I don't know, how about you guys pick?" I said. "How about we go play hide and seek?" Mufasa said. "Sure, I'm down for that" Taka said. "I'm down for that as well" I said. Mufasa was the seeker, and Taka and I were to hide. I picked a good hiding spot between a rock and a tree. after some time, Mufasa found me. "Found you Lana" Mufasa said.
"Dang it" I said. "Let's go find Taka now" Mufasa said. "Okay" I said. Mufasa and I then looked for Taka. After we looked for Taka, We found him hiding up in a tree branch. "How did you even get up there?" I said. "Oh, I'm a good climber" Taka said. After a few more rounds of playing, we decided it was time to go home because the sun was setting.
When we got back home, I saw Ahadi who was giving me a dark look in his eyes.
