Chapter 5: Stay or leave?
It has been a few weeks later since Ahadi punished me and Taka for going into the pride lands when we were not supposed to. I and Taka still have our visible Scars on our eyes from when Ahadi scratched us. I should tell mom about this but dad would yell at me and abuse me if I told mom. I think I should do it because I can't stand staying here anymore. I don't like the way Ahadi is treating me and Taka, it is unfair.
I decided to tell mom because I can't take this anymore. I was about to go tell Uru that Ahadi was abusing me and we need to leave the pride lands when I felt something grabbing onto my arm. I looked to see my dad, Ahadi standing there in front of me. "Dad, what are you doing?" I said. "I should ask you the same thing too. What are you doing?" Ahadi said. "Nothing" I said. "You are not going to tell mom, are you?" Ahadi said.
"No" I stammered. Ahadi said nothing and gave me a glare. "Really. Because the way you are stuttering, tells me that you are lying to me" Ahadi said. "I am not lying to you dad, I swear" I said. "Your stuttering again so you are lying to me" Ahadi said. "No, I'm not" I said. Ahadi gave me a hard punch in the face. "Don't you dare lie to me Lana!" Ahadi yelled. Ahadi then gave me another punch. "Now I am going to ask you again, you were going to tell mom, weren't you?" Ahadi said.
"Y...Yes" I stuttered with nervousness. Ahadi gave me another punch in the face. "Augh, dad please stop!" I cried as another punch hit me. Ahadi punched me so hard, that he broke my nose and my nose started bleeding. Blood was pouring out of my nose. I gasped for breath. Ahadi then lifted my chin and forced me to look at him.
"Now Lana, you know that if you tell mom then you will be in big trouble and there will be consequences. Because I don't want to risk losing Uru. understand?" Ahadi said. I nodded. "Yes, dad" I said. "Good. Remember Lana, if you tell her..." Ahadi said as he sharpened his claws. "I know, you will hurt me" I said. Ahadi smirked.
"Glad to see that you have been paying attention" Ahadi said. I said nothing and glared at him. I then left to go to the cave in pride rock where I found my mom, Uru who was sitting inside the cave. "Hey sweetie, how are you?" Uru said with a warm smile. "Hi mom...can I talk to you for a minute?" I said. "Sure, come sit" Uru said as she invited me to sit down. I smiled and sat down next to Uru. "What's on your mind, Lana?" Uru said.
"Well, dad has been...abusing me" I said. Uru was shocked. "What?!" Uru cried. "Yeah...Ahadi has been hurting me ever since I have come to the pride lands. He yells at me and hurts me every time I do something wrong. Nothing I do pleases him" I said as I broke down, crying. Uru put her paw on my shoulder. "Thank you for telling me this Lana. I'm glad you have told me" Uru said. "And you know how I said I tripped and a branch caused this scar on my eye?" I said.
"Yes?" Uru said. "Well, the night Taka and I have gone to the shadowlands, Ahadi got pissed with us and he scratched our eyes. That's how I have this scar on my right eye mom" I said as I pointed to the scar on my eye. "I have always thought something you said about that didn't seem very true to me. Well, thanks for telling me Lana. I will have a talk with him" Uru said. Uru then got up to leave, but I grabbed her paw, stopping her.
"Mom, wait" I said. Uru looked back at me. "What is it?" Uru said. "Mom, just wait to tell him, It will make things worse" I said. "Well, how am I supposed to do something about this if you don't let me tell him" Uru said. "I have a different idea" I said. "What is that?" Uru said. "How about, you hide behind the bushes when Ahadi is abusing me and Taka.
then when the right time comes, you jump out from your hiding position and confront Ahadi" I said. Uru smiled at me. "That's a great idea Lana, your really smart. Okay, just call me when Ahadi starts abusing you and Taka again and I will get into my position and I will get ready" Uru said. "Okay, mom" I said. Uru then left and I decided to go get ready for our plan. I needed to do something to piss Ahadi off. I then had an idea.
As I was about to go get Ahadi, he walked out of the cave and I quickly ran over to Uru. "Get ready mom" I whispered into Uru's ear. "Okay, sweetie" Uru said. Uru then got into her position and I walked over to where Ahadi was. "Lana?" Ahadi said as he walked up to me. I said nothing and looked at my dad who had his usual anger in his eyes.
"You need to go hunting for me today, and don't come back until you bring me my food" Ahadi said. I said nothing and I ignored Ahadi. I know it really pisses Ahadi off when people ignore him, and that's what I am trying to do. "Lana, are you listening to me?!" Ahadi yelled. I still continued to ignore him. I looked at my mom who was still in her hiding position.
"Lana!" Ahadi yelled as he smacked me hard across the face. I cried out in pain when he hit me but I knew I couldn't give up just yet, I had to wait for just a few minutes so that Uru could confront Ahadi. Ahadi gave me a punch in the face and continued to yell at me. "Lana?! I said you are to go hunting for me today, and do not come back until you bring me back my food, do you understand?! Do not make me repeat myself!" Ahadi yelled as he gave me another punch in the face.
I continued to ignore him and that earned me another punch. I couldn't take this abuse anymore, so I signaled for Uru to come out of her hiding place. Uru then jumped out of her hiding place and she pushed Ahadi off of me. "Uru?! What are you doing here, I thought you were in the cave with the cubs" Ahadi said with shock. "That does not matter right now, Ahadi. What matters right now is that you are abusing our daughter, and I for one do not tolerate it!" Uru shouted.
"Oh Uru, I was not abusing our daughter, I was only playing with her" Ahadi said. Ahadi then picked me up and pretended to play with me. "Dad, put me down!" I yelled. "Shut up" Ahadi whispered into my ear. "Cut this shit Ahadi! I know you are abusing Lana and Taka, and I have seen it!" Uru said. Ahadi then put me down and I landed on the ground.
"Mom, Dad, what's going on?" A voice said. I looked to see my brothers, Taka and Mufasa running up to us. "Stay out of this, brat!" Ahadi yelled. Ahadi hit Taka hard and caused him to fall to the ground. "Ahadi!" Uru yelled. "What?!" Ahadi shouted. "Stop hurting our kids!" Uru shouted.
"I am hurting them because I am teaching them a lesson!" Ahadi yelled. "That doesn't mean you have to hurt our kids! Listen Ahadi, if you keep hurting our kids then I am taking the kids and we are leaving the pride lands!" Uru shouted. "Oh no you don't!" Ahadi shouted. Ahadi then grabbed me, Mufasa, and Taka in a stron grip. I kept trying to escape, but every time I tried, he would tighten his grip on me.
"Now you listen to me Uru, If you leave the pride lands, I will kill you and the kids are staying with me. You can leave all you want but that means I will kill you and the kids will be staying with me" Ahadi said. "The choice is yours" Ahadi said. Uru then looked at us and looked back at Ahadi. Uru sighed.
"Okay, Ahadi...I will stay" Uru said.
