Chapter 16: Looking for help
When it became nighttime, Nala and I finished making our preparations for leaving the pride lands. "Are you ready?" Nala asked as she came into my room. "Yes Nala, I just need to pack a few more things. Then I need to pretend I am asleep when Scar falls asleep and then we can make our escape" I said. "Okay, I will be waiting by pride rock" Nala said. "Okay, don't get noticed" I said. Nala nodded and left my room.
After Nala left my room, I finished packing up my stuff. When I got everything I closed up my backpack and put it in the corner of my room. As I was about to change my clothes, my husband, Scar came into my room. "Lana" Scar said as he walked up to me. I sighed. "What do you want?" I said. Scar then noticed my backpack in the corner of my room. shit, I hope he doesn't find my stuff in there.
"Lana, what's this?" Scar said. "My bag..." I said nervously. "Your bag is usually in your closet, why do you have it out?" Scar asked me. "Umm...I was just ah looking for something, yeah" I said with a nervous laugh. "Well if I didn't know any better, I think you are trying to run away" Scar said. "What?! No, I would never!" I shouted.
"I swear I am not running away" I said with my body shaking. "Let's see if you're telling the truth or not" Scar said. "Why don't we look and see what is inside your bag, shall we?" Scar said with a smirk. "No, stop!" I cried. Scar ignored me and walked over to my backpack. My body was shaking in fear as Scar was walking towards my backpack. Scar then took ahold of it. "Don't touch my stuff!" I hissed. I then ran up to Scar and smacked him hard in the face.
Scar roared in pain and held onto his face. I put a hand over my mouth and my eyes widened in fear, realizing what I have done. "Scar, I'm sorry!" I cried. Scar then gave me a glare and walked up to me. "Now you have done it" Scar said in a dangerous tone. Scar then hit me hard in the stomach and I fell to the floor and I landed hard on my back and I grunted in pain. Scar grabbed both of my hands and pinned me to the ground.
"DON'T YOU DARE DO THAT TO ME AGAIN" Scar roared as he punched me hard in the face. Scar gave me another hard punch. What I did must have really angered Scar. I was in my thoughts but I snapped out of my thoughts when Scar gave me another punch in the face. "Scar please, stop. I didn't mean to" I said. "SHUT UP!" Scar roared as he punched me again. Tears were streaming down my face as Scar gave me another punch.
When Scar decided he was done beating me he got off of me. "Don't you ever try to hurt me again, Lana. If you hurt me again then I am going to do something to you that you're not gonna like" Scar said. I glared at Scar. "You know what, Scar?! I am done with you abusing me and torturing me every day!" I yelled. "I am leaving!" I yelled.
"Not if I stop you!" Scar yelled. "You won't stop me!" I yelled. I then punched Scar hard in the face and he fell to the ground and passed out. I quickly grabbed my bag and ran out of my room. I kept running. I needed to get out of here before Scar wakes up. When I got back to pride rock, I saw Nala sitting next to pride rock.
Nala looked at me. "There you are Lana, I was beginning to worry" Nala said. "Sorry, I slapped Scar in the face and Scar beat me and after he beat me I punched him in the face and Scar passed out" I said. "You did what?!" Nala cried. "Shh!" I cried. "Yes, I punched him. We need to go before he wakes up" I said. "Okay, let's go then" I said. "Wait" A voice said. I jumped, fearing it was Scar but it was only my niece Axane who was walking up to us.
"Axane, what are you doing here?" I said. "I am coming with you guys" Axane said. "You are?" Nala said. "Yes. Mother said I should come with you guys for more protection, especially you, Aunt Lana" Axane said. "Okay then..." I said. "If we go, we need to leave now" Nala said. "Yes, we need to" I said.
"Let's go then" Axane said. I nodded. Nala, Axane, and I snuck around the hyenas and Stalker and Misery. After we snuck around and when we found that the coast was clear, we took a run for it. We kept sprinting and sprinting until we got far from pride rock. When we got to a safe distance, we decided to take a rest for a bit. We sat down and I build a fire. When I got the fire going, I got some meat from my bag and I decided to cook the meat.
After I finished cooking the meat, I gave some meat to Nala and Axane and we started eating our food. After we finished eating our food, I put out the fire and I cleared out the sticks. I then decided to lay down next to Nala. I sighed. "What's wrong, Lana?" Nala said. "I just hope we can defeat Scar and get the pride lands back. I wanna be happy again" I said. "Don't worry Lana, we will get the pride lands back and we will defeat Scar" Nala said.
"Yeah, and we will make sure you will be happy" Axane said. "Thanks, guys" I said. "We should get some sleep now" Nala said. "Yeah" I said. I rested my head against Nala's fur. "Goodnight, Nala" I said. "Goodnight Lana, sleep well" Nala said. I smiled. In a few minutes, I fell into a deep sleep.
It is the next morning and I woke up to the bright light shining in my eyes. "Morning Lana, time to wake up" Nala said as she gently tapped my arm. "Hi Nala" I said sleepily. "We need to go soon, get some food and let me give you your bath before we leave again" Nala said. "Okay" I said. I walked over to Axane who already had meat cooked up. "Hi Axane" I said. "Good morning, Aunt Lana" Axane said.
"Help yourself to some meat" Axane said. "Thanks" I said as I took some meat. I sat down next to Axane and started eating my food. "How did you sleep last night?" Axane asked me. "I slept okay" I said. "That's good" Axane said. After I finished eating my food, I went over to Nala and sat down next to her. "Let me give you your bath now before we go" Nala said. "Okay" I said. I took off my clothes and laid down in Nala's arms.
Nala then began licking me clean. After Nala finished cleaning me, I stood up and I got my team RWBY shirt back on with my yellow leggings. I then grabbed my backpack and put it on my shoulders. "Okay, now that we are ready let's go and look for help" I said. "Should we split up?" Nala said. "I think that would be good, then we can find help faster" I said. "Okay, Nala I will go with you, and Axane, you go that way" I said pointing to the left.
"Got it" Axane said. "Okay, let's go" Nala said. We then took off and we went our separate ways. A while of walking, Nala and I got to a jungle. "What is this place?" I asked her. "I don't know, but we should keep going" Nala said. "Maybe someone in here can help us, come on" Nala said.
As Nala and I were walking closer to the jungle, Nala heard something. "Wait, I heard something. Stay here" Nala said. I nodded. Nala hid in the grass and she walked forward. Nala roared and jumped out from the grass and started chasing something. When I looked closely, I saw Nala was chasing a warthog into the jungle. "Nala, wait!" I cried as I was running after Nala to catch up to her.
I kept running after Nala as she ran deeper and deeper into the jungle, chasing the warthog. After a while of running, the warthog got stuck into the tree branch. As Nala was gonna catch him, I heard a loud lion roar. I looked up and I saw a male lion jumped up and attacked Nala.
I watched as the two lions began fighting.
