Chapter 28: Pride landers and outlanders united

Kiara, Kovu, and I ran off to find the rest of the pride. When we found them, we saw that they are fighting. it is pouring rain and the pride lands were soaking wet. My clothes were wet but I kept following Kovu, and Kiara towards the battle. We spotted a river and logs were on top of the start of a waterfall. "Come on!" Kovu called. We carefully climbed down the hill and we climbed over the logs. I almost fell but Kovu helped me up and he helped me cross over the logs.

When we got over the logs, we saw the battle clearly now. The outlanders and the pride landers were fighting. We then saw Simba and Zira circling each other and pride landers and outlanders were gathered around to watch. Simba and Zira raised their paws and prepared to attack. We had to stop Zira and Simba from fighting. Kiara, Kovu, and I leaped up and jumped in between Zira and Simba.

Kovu faced Zira and Kiara and I faced Simba. Simba looked shocked when he saw us. "Kiara, Aunt Lana?" Simba said. "Kovu!" Zira shouted. "Move" Zira ordered. "Stand aside" Simba said to me and Kiara. "Daddy, this has to stop" Kiara said. "Yes, Simba. You must stop this" I said. "You're even weaker than I thought.

Get out of the way" Zira said to Kovu. Kovu glared at his mother. "You'll never hurt Kiara, Simba, or Lana. Not while I'm here" Kovu said. "Stay out of this" Simba said. "A wise king once told me, 'we are one.' I didn't understand him then. Now I do" Kiara said. "But they..." Simba said. "Them? Us? Look at them, they are us. What differences do you see?" Kiara said. "We are all the same, Simba. We just need to learn to get along and put our differences behind" I said.

"As queen, I say we must stop this battle and set our differences behind" I said. Simba looked at me and Kiara for a minute. The rain stopped and the sun was coming out of the clouds. Simba and Kiara smiled. They rubbed their heads against each other. Simba smiled at me and went over to hug me. I hugged him back.

"I'm glad to see you have come around" I said with a smile. "Me too, I'm sorry" Simba said. "It's okay" I said. After Simba and I hugged Zira spoke up, "Vitani, now!" Zira shouted. "No, mother!" Vitani said. Kovu and I were shocked but I smiled. "Kiara and Lana are right" Vitani said as she walked over to us and stood by Kovu. "Enough" She said. Everyone looked at each other and whispered to one another.

"If you will not fight, then you will die as well" Zira said in a dark tone. Everyone except for Zira began to walk towards us. "Where are you going?! Get back here!" Zira shouted angrily. "Let it go, Zira. It's time to put the past behind us" Simba said. I nodded. "I'll never let it go!" Zira shouted. "This is for you, Scar" Zira said. Zira gave a battle cry and leaped up to attack Simba. I reacted quickly and Kiara and I jumped in front of Simba and pushed Zira out of the way.

Zira, Kiara, and I then began falling off a cliff. Zira and I screamed as we fell down. "Kiara, Aunt Lana!" Simba shouted. "Kiara!" Kovu shouted. As we were falling, I banged my head hard against the rocks but I was able to grab onto a ledge to hold on. Kiara also grabbed a ledge and sharpened her claws to help her hang on. Zira was hanging on the side of her cliff with just her paws. "Kiara, Aunt Lana!" Simba shouted.

I looked down and I was gasping in fear and hanging on for dear life. "Hold on Kiara, Lana!" Nala called from the top of the cliff. "I'm slipping!" I cried. "Hang on, I'm almost there!" Simba called as he was leaping from rock to rock. I then heard a loud crack and gasped in fear. I noticed that the logs came loose and water was flowing fast. "Simba! Simba, the river!" Nala cried. Simba looked at the river and saw the fast waters coming our way.

Kiara was able to pull herself up and get onto the flat surface safely. Kiara then went over to me and held her paw out to me. "Grab on" Kiara said. With the strength I had, I reached my hand to hers. She caught hold of me and lifted me up. I was now safely on the ground. "Thanks" I said. "Your welcome" Kiara said.

"Now let's go help Zira" Kiara said. "Okay" I said. We then went over to Zira who was still hanging on the edge of the cliff. the fast waters continued to rush through us. "Zira!" I called. I reached my hand out to her, so did Kiara. "Zira, give us your paw" Kiara said. Zira swiped her paw aggressively at me and Kiara. I pulled my hand away. "No" I said.

"I'll help you Zira, you just gotta reach for my paw" I said. "Zira, come on. I'll help you" Kiara said. Zira kept slipping on the side of the cliff. As Zira was slipping, she lost her grip and fell into the rushing waters. the waters calmed down after Zira fell. Kiara and I sighed in defeat when Zira died. "Kiara, Aunt Lana" A voice said. Kiara and I looked and saw Simba, who was standing in front of us. "Daddy" Kiara said. "Simba" I said.

"I tried" Kiara said. Simba then helped me and Kiara up the cliffs. When we reached the top, Timon and Pumbaa cheered. "Kiara, oh" Nala said with relife, knowing her daughter is safe. Simba, Nala, and Kiara hugged. Nala then went over to me and hugged me. "Oh thank god your safe Lana" Nala said. I hugged her back. "Your mom and dad would be proud" Nala said with a smile. Simba then went over to hug me and I hugged him back.

"Wow, that was really brave, yee-haw!" Timon said. "Kovu" Kiara said. "Oh, Kiara" Kovu said as they rubbed each other's heads. "Kovu" Simba said. Kovu walked to where Simba was. "I was wrong, you belong here" Simba said. Kovu smiled, knowing he was finally accepted into the pride.

"Let's go home" Simba said. The outlanders walked up to us and smiled. "All of us" Simba said.

It is the next day since the battle. Animals of the pride lands have gathered around and all the outlanders and the pride landers have gathered around pride rock for Kiara and Kovu's wedding. Rafiki shook his staff as Kiara and Kovu were rubbing each other's heads. Simba and Nala were also rubbing each other's heads. We all gathered around in a circle and sat down. I sat down next to Nala.

"I love moment's like this" Pumbaa said. "Not like" Timone said. "Love" Timon and Pumbaa said at the same time. Timon and Pumbaa then began bawling their eyes out. Simba and Nala then began walking through the aisle. everyone bowed their heads in respect as they walked down the aisle. then it was Kovu and Kiara's turn to walk down the Isle. I was last to walk down the aisle.

When we reached the tip of pride rock, Simba was the first to roar. Then it was Kovu's turn to roar. then Nala and Kiara roared. Then everyone at pride rock roared to show their respect for the new king and queen, Kiara and Kovu. I am still queen of pride rock, but I am now ruling alongside Kiara and Kovu.

I smiled and I felt at peace now, knowing we have reunited and we are one now. The animals of pride rock cheered as the lions roared. I and Simba then heard Mufasa's voice in the clouds. "Well done, my son" Mufasa said. Simba smiled proudly as the wind blew into his mane. "We are one" Mufasa said. I smiled.

I am happy that the outlanders and the pride landers are finally at peace.
