Warning: AU, everyone is human and possible OOC, I'll try to keep them in character as much as possible. I'll be calling King, Harlequin most of the time, because I'll be treating 'King' as a nickname used by those close to him. There is no character's POV at all in this story.
There's alcohol, tobacco use, spiked drinks (NO RAPE), limes, lemons, mention of rape
(in much later chapters) and mentions of abuse BUT it's non-descriptive; so it's literally just mentioned (clarifying for safety sake). I'll put an A/N when the story reaches the Mature rating/situation or for triggers. Oh everyone in the story is at least in their 20's. I do NOT own the 7 Deadly Sins nor the characters.
Meliodas heads downstairs, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, a green t-shirt with green shoes. He looks at the clock, 'Damn, it's almost 1900. We gotta leave soon.' He heads to the stairs and loudly says, "Ellie, it's almost 1900, we gotta leave soon." Elizabeth looks at her watch and sees that Meliodas is right about the time. "R-right, I'm almost finished," she answers back. 'Goddess, I'm kinda nervous about this; I hope that things don't get awkward between us, Diane and Harlequin.'
Why was she nervous you may ask? Meliodas had talked her into going to a house party hosted by their friends, Harlequin and Diane. Granted, Diane was the one who invited her and she discussed it with her boyfriend but she still wasn't sure. Because it wasn't a normal house party. Oh no, this was a different kind of party. It was a swinger's party. Typically it's where couples meet, swap partners and have some adult fun, either together or with a different partner. Sometimes singles will mingle as well.
Meliodas used to go to them before he met Elizabeth. But once he met her, he pursued her and stopped going to them. But that was about 4 years. Things had started to die down in the bedroom for them in the last year. They tried different things to spice it up but their bedroom life had stayed stuck. She told Diane about their predicament during their weekly get together. It was then that Diane, much to Harlequin's protest, had invited her.
Elizabeth looked in the mirror one more time and did a mental checklist from top to bottom.
Hair done- check.
Light natural make-up- check.
Lightly scented lotion all over- check.
White, curve-hugging dress that goes to the knees- check.
White flat shoes- check.
Phone-?
'Oh no, where is it?' She looked in their bedroom. 'Not here...maybe the bathroom?' She looked in there. 'Not here either?' Almost as if he could sense it. "Ellie, your phone is down here." Meliodas says from downstairs. "O-oh, thank you Meli." She headed downstairs. "S-so how do I l-look?" She stuttered nervously.
He smiled and said confidently, "Good enough to eat! Ellie, it's going to be fine." He held her hands and said, "We don't have to bring anyone back; we can just make new friends. Okay?" He said gently to her. "Y-yes, your right, Mel." She smiled back at him.
"Okay, let's head out." Meliodas announced before opening the door. Elizabeth grabbed her phone and followed him outside. She shut the door and locked it. '*Gulp* Can't believe I'm doing this.' She takes a deep breath and exhales then walks to the car and gets inside.
-20 minutes later-
They arrived at Harlequin and Diane's place after a long quiet drive. Meliodas parks the car and starts to get out. He quickly glances in her direction and notices that Elizabeth still has her hands in her lap, almost in fists.
He smiles gently, "Ellie, it'll be okay." She looks at him and replies, "I-I know. Diane and Harlequin will be there since it's their house and-" Meliodas cuts her off, "Exactly, it's at their place with people they know and trust. I talked to them both and made sure of that." He leans down and takes her hands into his. "Just relax and enjoy yourself, my love" He looked into her eyes, with his own eyes full of love and care.
She relaxes, smiles back and unbuckles her seatbelt. "You're right. Let's go!" She says cheerfully as she opens the car door. "That's my girl." Meliodas says happily and encouragingly. They both step out of the car, shut the doors, and walk to the front door together. Elizabeth takes a deep breath and exhales. She looks at her boyfriend and he nods. She hesitates for a moment until Meliodas gropes her rear making her squeak. She looks at him and he smiles softly at her. She returns the smile, knowing he did that to relax her and rings the doorbell. About 15 seconds later, they hear footsteps coming closer to the door.
Diane opens the door and sees Elizabeth and Meliodas. "Hey Ellie," she hugs Elizabeth. Harlequin shows up at the door and wraps an arm around Diane's waist. "Hey Meliodas." She shakes hands with him. That was King's request. That was due to her once having a crush, a huge crush, on the blonde man. Even though Harlequin knows that Diane loves him to bits, he's always a bit cautious with her around Meliodas. He is still a pervert after all. "Hey Harlequin." Meliodas said. "Hi." Was Harlequin's normal response to Meliodas.
"You excited, Elizabeth?" Harlequin looked and asked the girl in question. "W-well, yes b-but I'm also nervous." Elizabeth stuttered a little bit and started to play with her hair to calm down. "Well, before anything else." Diane interjected, grabbing a basket near the door. "Your keys need to go in here." Elizabeth asked, "W-what? Why?" "We're serving alcohol. So safety first." Diane and Harlequin said together, telling a half-truth.
Elizabeth looked at her boyfriend for comfort. He looked at her, grabbed one of her hands with one of his hands, smiled and replied, "Yep, don't want any drunk drivers." With his free hand, he grabbed his keys and dropped them into the basket, and closed the door. He looked and noticed that there was another set of keys. "Whose keys are these?" He asked in curiosity.
"Oh, those belong to my best friend, Helbram." Harlequin answered. "He got here a few minutes before you two did," Diane said. Almost on queue, the owner of the keys showed up with a glass of merlot, sipping on it.
"Hello, I'm Helbram." The green haired man said. "Hey there. I'm Meliodas and this is my girlfriend, Elizabeth." Meliodas put his hand out. "Glad to meet you." Helbram puts his hand out to shake Meliodas's hand then releases it. He then touched Elizabeth's free hand, turned it over, leaned down and kissed the top of her hand. Elizabeth blushed.
"First time at a swinger's party?" He looked up, noticing her reaction. "Y-yes." She answered. "Drinks are in the kitchen." He said and went to talk to Harlequin. Diane grabbed Elizabeth's hand and dragged her off in the kitchen with Meliodas close behind. "So, what do you want to drink, Ellie?" she asked her good friend. "Um… I think I'll have a pink moscato." Elizabeth replied. "Ok, one pink moscato coming right up." Diane quickly poured her a glass.
"Hey, that's my job." Meliodas said, jokingly. "My house." Diane said, already finished pouring the glass. "Here you go, Elizabeth." Diane handed her the glass. "Thank you, Diane." Elizabeth took the glass and took a couple of gulps to calm her nerves down. "I'll take a beer." Meliodas said. "Ok, what do you want?" Diane asked as she opened her refrigerator. "An open one," he replied, chucking. Diane and Elizabeth giggled at his bad joke. "What do you want?" Diane repeating the question. "A local one." He answered. Diane picked one, closed the door to the refrigerator and handed it to him. "Thanks, Diane." He replied, as he opened it.
"Your welcome." She answered. Elizabeth was about to ask a question when they heard the doorbell ring. Since Harlequin was right by the door talking to Helbram, he opened it. "Gerheade, Gloxinia, Glad to see you both." He said happily and hugged both. They returned the hug and Gloxinia answered, "Of course, It's been a while since we've both attended." Gerheade added, "Yes, it has been. Work has been murder lately." She dropped the keys in the basket by the door.
Diane, along with Elizabeth and Meliodas with their respective drinks, walked back near the doorway. Gloxinia and his sister looked over and saw new faces. "Hey there, who are you?" Gloxinia asked. "Hello, this is my girlfriend, Elizabeth and I'm Meliodas." He answered. "Charmed to meet the both of you," Gloxinia replied. "I'm Gloxina and this is my little sister, Gerhande." Elizabeth said, confused. "S-siblings? I-I thought-". Gerhande cut her off, "As long as you're open minded, anyone can attend a swinger's party."
"Oh, I-I didn't know." Elizabeth replied. "Although, siblings usually don't attend these together," Gerheade said. "So why?" Meliodas asked, curious. "Higher chance of getting laid." The siblings said together. Everyone but the siblings and Elizabeth, due to being nervous, laughed at their bluntness. "Drinks in the kitchen?" Gerheade asked. "Yep," Diane replied. "Cool, we'll be back." Gloxinia said, as Gerheade and him headed to the kitchen. The doorbell rings again. Diane opens the door and greets her new guests.
