Chapter 12: Break In At GothCorp
The GCPD arrived at the hotel to deal with the situation. They arrested the remaining thugs that didn't go with Freeze and made sure all the hostages were okay. Once they were done inside, Gordon went outside to tell Loeb what was going on. "Commissioner, all the hostages are safe, but they said these guys' boss took Boyle to GothCorp for some reason. They also said that their boss had blue skin and was dressed like a spaceman, as well as him having some kind of freezing gun that made the whole room look like Antarctica.", Gordon explained over the radio. "I'm telling you, Gordon, this city gets worse and worse every single day. It was bad enough with bosses like Thorne, but now a blue freak with an ice gun and this Batman.", Loeb said. "Witnesses also reported seeing him here too helping people to safety.", Gordon said. "Again, I don't care how much you think he's helping, he's no better than an ordinary bank robber. I want both him and this ice guy taken in tonight!", Loeb ordered. Gordon then turned off his radio and was startled by a deep voice behind him. "So, you still think I'm helping?", Batman asked. Gordon slightly jumped and turned around. "Have pity on my blood pressure. I do. Especially after how you helped the hostages. I take it you're going to go after their boss, right?", Gordon said. "I am. Are you going to do what Loeb said and stop me and turn me in?", Batman asked. "I'll just pretend I never saw you. And if you need any help, I'll be here.", Gordon said. "Thanks, but I think I'll be fine on my own.", Batman said. He then pressed a button on his gauntlet and then the Batmobile came out of nowhere and he jumped into it. Batman then sped away leaving Gordon in astonishment. "That's one sweet ride!", Gordon said to himself. Batman was making his way towards GothCorp while communicating with Alfred at the same time. "Alfred, I got a little bit more info on their boss. They're calling him Mr. Freeze.", Batman said. "Fitting name for him after what he did to the hotel and those innocent people.", Alfred said. "They told me he's taking Ferris to GothCorp for something. I'm not sure what.", he said. "I do wonder what this frozen fiend wants with your old friend.", Alfred said. Targeting someone like Ferris Boyle, it's sickening!", he said. "I trust you'll bring him to justice, sir.", Alfred said. "I'll see this one wheeled into Blackgate on a gurney!", Batman said and then went off. Meanwhile, outside of GothCorp, a few of Freeze's thugs were standing guard. Then the Batmobile came roaring out of nowhere and stopped right in front of them. The goons immediately readied their guns waiting for Batman to get out. "Out of the car, freak!", one guy demanded. Nobody came out. "Either you come out, or we'll open it up for you and shoot you dead!", another guy threatened. Then a missile was launched at a nearby empty car as a distraction to them. While the thugs were distracted by that, Batman used this opportunity to leap out of the car and knock them all out in one swift and quick move. Once they were taken care of, Batman made his way inside. Once inside, he saw Freeze forcing Boyle to type in a code into the keypad with a dozen more goons in parkas behind them. Once Boyle got the door open, Freeze pushed Boyle inside and the door closed behind both of them. The goons then turned around and saw Batman and immediately became frightened. "It's the Batman! Get him!", one guy said. The criminals then all came charging at Batman while Batman was getting into his fighting stance not looking concerned at all with how outnumbered he was. He easily took down every single one from all the training he had. "After they were all knocked Batman went through the door and said to himself, "Don't worry, Ferris. I'm coming to save you.".
