Prologue:

What was Yugi doing during the century he was in the Millenium Puzzle? He wasn't just sitting around, that's for sure!

"And you're sure you haven't heard from him?"

"Of course I'm sure. I never miss one of Yugi's calls.."

Mokuba sighed. "Alright. Thanks anyway, Rebecca."

"Mokuba? You don't think he's done something... irrational, do you?"

"I hope not. For now, all I can say for certain is that he's dropped off the map."

"He's taken a page out of your book, then."

"...I'm gonna act like I didn't hear that."

"Well, I'm not. If you hadn't checked out the way you did, Yugi might've thought he had someone to go to."

"My big brother died, Rebecca!"

"All the more reason you should've stuck around! Yugi could've been there for you. You know he'll do anything for his friends!"

Mokuba looked away from the screen. "Yugi had his own issues to deal with."

"Yet another reason you should have stayed! Helping you with your issues could have helped him with his! It would have given him something to hold onto, and then he wouldn't have disappeared like this!"

Mokuba glared at her. "He wasn't the only one hurting, Rebecca!"

There was a pause. "I'm sorry. I'm just really worried about him. And you."

Mokuba sighed, slumping back in his chair. "You're probably right anyway. I just needed some space. A new CEO doesn't exactly get much privacy."

"Right. ...Mokuba, for what it's worth, I really am sorry for what happened to your brother – and for ...everything else."

"Thanks."

Another pause. Rebecca cleared her throat. "Don't work yourself too hard up in that office, Mokuba. I'll do some digging from my end and let you know if I find anything on Yugi. And you'd better do the same!"

"I will. Thanks, Becks. I'll talk to you later."

Rebecca nodded as the video call ended. Mokuba glanced over the photos on his desk, displaying him, his friends, and his brother in varying situations. He sighed and pulled out his locket. His brother's smile from the photo inside made his heart ache. "I wish you were here, Seto. You'd know what to do."

He snapped the locket closed with a shake of his head. Can't dwell in the past. That's what he would've said. After all, I've got a company to run and a friend to track down.

And he'd better have a good excuse for disappearing. Otherwise I'm gonna knock him into next week once I find him!

The phone rang. Mokuba glared at it in annoyance before picking up. "What?"

"Pardon me, Mr. Kaiba. You asked me to remind you about the stockholder's meeting?"

The teen grimaced at his watch. "Oh, yeah. Thanks. Hold my calls until I get back."

"Yes, sir."

He hung up with a sigh. Or I will once I find the time. Now I know how Seto really felt.
