Set up in 2020 (There's No COVID).
"Lin, let's goooooo!" Pippa shouted at me. So yeah, we're dating, it's still secret, nobody knows. *not even the cast*. A year and no one noticed Huehehehe
Now Pippa's poking me so I wake up. Her hair was still wet and she was wearing a black floral dress. Look at her, she's perfect in every way. She kept poking me and giggled, "Let's go, I wanna go to the park." She was smiling so wide and I took a towel and helped her dry her hair. "Lin, I can do this myself you know. Go get clean," she pointed for me to go 'get clean'.
I came out of the shower to see Pippa snuggling inside the blanket and scrolling through her Instagram. Seriously I don't get Instagram. Why do we need Instagram when we have twitter? #LinGetInsta
But anyway I pulled the blanket followed by a groan and more speeches about 'I love heat'. "You better stop before you turn into Olaf," I warned her but she kept ranting about her love for heat. "I like being Olaf, he likes warm hugs. I like hugs, especially Lin hugs," she said while looking at me. She extended her arms to engulf me in a hug, "This is a fluffy morning," she said.
We went to the park and sat beneath a huge tree. Pippa started humming 'Some Things Never Change', she's smiling aaaaaaaw. She held my hand tight and sang, "Like how I'm holding on tight to you." Sometimes I don't remember Groff is in the Frozen franchise but when I think of it, he's in Frozen even before Hamilton. Wow, we're old.
I took a ring from my pocket, opened Pippa's hand, and plopped the ring to her hand. "What's this?" she asked, very very confused. "Promise ring, I want you to use it on the fuck finger," she cut me by slapping my arm. "Language please," she smirked. "Yea use it in the middle when the time comes, change it to the next finger. You get what I mean," I shrugged.
Pippa pecked my lips and put the ring on her middle 'fuck' finger. "So this is both of us claiming each other right?" she questioned. I nodded my head and let her sit on my lap because I like hugging her from behind. "Seriously what shampoo do you use? It smells really nice and your hair is so soft."
"I won't tell you. You're going to finish it if I tell you," she giggled.
"I feel like drinking milkshake for some reason," Pippa suddenly sighed. So as a loving boyfriend what did I do?
Piggyback her :) She squealed when I picked her up but Pippa's light so it's easy. "Put me down right now mister!" she instructed me. "Nuh-uh, I wanna pick you up and carry you all across the world." I sighed, I really want that to happen.
Pippa put her arms around my neck softly and nuzzled her head on the right side of my head. Her hair brushed against my cheek. "You know, actually it's quite nice up here," she whispered while smiling happily.
We got some weird looks from random pedestrians but Jesus let it be, I was with my girlfriend being happy.
I put Pippa down in front of the place and she opened the door like the kids there looking so damn cute. She's a cinnamon roll I can't-. She sat down with her hands on her sides bouncing a bit on the seat, smiling. "What do you want?" I asked.
"Is this a joke or a real question? Because seriously if this is a question I want a breakup!" she joked. "Chocolate it is," I sighed.
Pippa's POV :
The ring is very pretty :). That's very Lin honestly, being the hopeless romantic he is.
I swayed my legs back and forth waiting for Lin to come with the milkshake and then. "Wait wait wait, Pippa?" I heard someone calling my name. It was Renee and a few other people from the cast, SHOOT.
"Hi, Nae. Whatcha doing?" I asked nervously. Lin and I might get caught like this, and honestly, we're not ready for any public to know anything. "Same as you," Renee said while pulling a chair and sitting on it.
Yup, we're going to get caught.
"Pips- Oh hi Nae, why are you here?" Lin stuttered. "What are YOU GUYS doing here," Renee asked in shock. Probably wondering why were two kids from the show she's working on going out together.
"Oh God, did I piece this correctly?" she asked before listing her thoughts. "You guys are dating?" and everyone gasped the theatrical gasp and some people were running around the shop. Oh, theater kids.
I hid my face in my hands not wanting to look at anybody right now because I was blushing madly. Hoping Lin could explain to them because I couldn't do anything, I was helpless :)
"Yup, we're dating," Lin gave an answer. "Why couldn't you wait for another 2 months? Now I have to pay all of these guys 20 bucks each person! I'm broke!" Renee wailed.
Some of them were snickering at Renee who's trying to fish out every 20 dollar bill she had in her purse, some , some Ben Franklin that she traded with somebody. Wow, she's rich.
"How many people did I pay today?" Renee asked, looking at her still filled purse. "UUUuuhhh," Oak started counting the people that she paid. "HOLY SHIT! Nae you're rich as fudge cakes! 14 peeps and 20 bucks mean..."
"280 dollars, it's two eighty," my brain suddenly blurted that out. More screamings and jumpings, and weird glances from me to Lin. "God Help Us All," Daveed mouthed at both of us.
"You guys thank you for making me broke," she rolled her eyes while handing more money to the people.
"How many bets did you make?" Lin asked thoroughly confused as to how Nae Nae seemed to lose so much money in the span of 5 minutes. "At least 5 for your relationship with Pippa," she grumbled.
"DAMN NAE!" Thayne shouted from the other side of the shop. Why were we all scattered?
~Time skip to whenever you like this to happen (It can be the next day or maybe 10 years later. It's up to you)~
Pippa's POV :
I was sitting on the sofa with Lin, my head on his lap. Lin was doing something with my hair, Idk what tho.
"Your hair is still very soft," he muttered. I giggled and looked at his face admiring everything. His face looked like he wanted to say something but he couldn't say it. He's nervous, I can see.
He drummed his fingers at his knees clearly stressed.
"Are you okay?" I asked while taking his hands. "No, I'm not okay," he started fidgeting.
"Lin, think you idiot," he mumbled and started tapping his foot. I sat up and tried to calm him down but he stood up and walked around the living room.
"Love, are you alright?" I tried to coax him to talk about his feelings. 'Why's Lin like this?' was playing on a loop in my brain.
Lin's POV :
Now I get why people are very stressed when they want to propose. It's fuhucking hard. I needed to find the right words and I didn't have any words to tell Pippa.
"Okay, I'm just gonna make this real quick," I breathed trying to prepare myself. Pippa nodded her head and held my hands, rubbing it with her thumbs.
"Just say, do you want to move the ring to the next finger?"
I felt Pippa's hands slipping away and her eyes watering. Did I make her cry? Oh God, what did I do?
"Yes, I want to!" she smiled with tears spilling out. "I want to move it to the next finger, of course!" she said more confidently.
I didn't waste my time and kissed her just pouring my happiness into that one kiss. "I love you," she whispered in between kisses.
"I love you, I love you" she repeated, " I love you."
"Now, let's move the ring," I took her left hand. I looked at the ring, I did choose a good one.
I slipped the ring off the middle finger and moved it to the ring finger.
"So, I can call you my bride to be right?" I teased and she giggled. "Yeah."
"Did you get my parents' blessing tho?" she suddenly asked. "I got it even before I gave you the promise ring," I looked at her eyes.
"Can I hear a speech? PLEEEAASSSEEEEEEE with a cherry on the top and sprinkles on chocolate milkshake with eyelash batting?" she asked while batting her eyelashes.
"Okay, let's start my long-ass speech!" she slapped my arm again. "Language, love," she frowned. "Yup, sorry."
"Pippa, where to start. You're perfect," I said while tucking her stray hair back. "You're a cinnamon roll, kind, smart, beautiful, and did I mention your cinnamon rollness? But every day when you wake up beside me, maybe your hair is strangling me but I don't care. And when you want to go eat something with me and you would make a mess but you'd clean my face first because you need me "Being the well-groomed Lin"," I laughed.
"The little smile and that shine in your eyes when you see something you like, it's mesmerizing. And when you take care of everyone even though you also need to be taken care of. I want to be that person who takes care of you," I saw Pippa smile at me.
"And when you become a caterpillar and put yourself inside a blanket cocoon while persuading me to get Instagram, I love that. When you just look at me and everything bad just left my mind and all that I can think of is you. Or when you try to make me smile on a bad day, just seeing you smile was the peak of my days," Pippa started to get teary-eyed again so I hugged her close to me and continued with my speech.
"I know we also have our fights but a relationship without a fight is not good, and I know we'll resolve whatever the matter is. I can't imagine living without you somehow," I said while patting her back softly.
"The idea of spending my whole life with you is just-," I was cut with Pippa's sob. "Pips, don't cry you asked for this speech." I laughed while brushing her tears away.
"Yes, but this is like euphoria. I'm too happy," she giggled. "But continue," she urged.
"Yea, the idea of living with you is just uuhh- I can't describe it, it's just OUT OF THIS WHOLE WIDE UNIVERSE!" I exclaimed, startling Pippa.
"I love you," I hugged her again and she rested her head on my chest a few tears soaking into my shirt.
"Promise to love me forever and ever and ever and ever and eveeeerrrr," she asked.
Promise
