"Where is it? Where is it?" Dawn scoured every inch of her wardrobe, every drawer and every other place she could think of, but she couldn't find her dress. Devastated, she slumped her head into the bed, a single tear falling from her eye.
"DAWN! ARE YOU OKAY?" Hearing the drop of Dawn's tear from a mile away, May slammed the door open and rushed inside.
"Oh May! Thank goodness you're here! I really need help finding my new dress. I've looked everywhere!"
"Oh. If that's the case then weeeeeeelllllll..." May's voice started to drift as she realized exactly where she was at the moment, and an uncontrollable blush leapt across her face. "Oh you know, it is probably somewhere in the room of course."
"But I checked everywhere."
"Yeah but..." May chuckled, trying to keep herself from sounding stupid. "Maybe if you had two searching instead of one it could be lovel- I mean romanti- I mean faster! Faster! You can find love faster!"
May sighed. She sounded stupid.
"I think you're right," Dawn said. "I probably need a bit of help looking for this. And I think I know the perfect person."
May's eyes widened and a smile grew on her face.
That smile quickly disappeared when Dawn went out and brought Iris in the room.
"I'm sure you're great at finding stuff Iris," Dawn said, with her eyes sparkling like gold. "So help me find my dress please."
"I don't want to find some dumb dress." Iris stomped on the ground and angrily looked away. "Just leave me alone."
"But Iris, listen to me." Dawn grabbed Iris's hand before beginning to speak in a softer and more reminiscent tone. "You are like the world to me Iris. To me, you are the most talented and beautiful person of all time, and I simply want you to understand that. I love you, so please help me find the dress I love."
Iris simply looked at her with disgust. "The dress is for me, isn't it?"
"No..." Dawn's eyes shifted, her body shook, her pulse sped up rapidly, and every other tell for lying you could think of suddenly appeared.
"Well adios!" With that, Iris walked out and slammed the door. "I can't believe I woke up for this," she mumbled as she walked away.
Dawn was crushed. She slumped down to her knees, and a single tear fell to the ground.
"WHAT'S WRONG?" With the ability to here the tear drop from a mile away, May stopped taking pictures of Dawn's underwear and ran to her beloved's side.
"Do you know what it's like to make something for someone and for that person to reject it from you so easily?" Dawn's words were filled with sobs, like she could cry at any moment.
"Dawn," May said as she leaned in and hugged her friend. "Things like this happen, it's a part of life. But don't be sad, sometimes the right person is closer than we think."
May had to step back for a second. Was she hearing things, or did she actually not sound stupid for once!?
Dawn dried her tears and looked up. "Thank you May. I think I know what I should do now."
"Really!?" May's eyes widened and a smile grew on her face.
That smile quickly disappeared when Dawn simply made another dress for Iris.
