Within a large stadium, with thousands of people watching, two Pokémon were in the middle of battle. On one end of the stadium was an enormous dragon type Pokémon, a fierce blue beast with blood red wings and sharp claws. Opening its mouth and showing off rows and rows of razor sharp teeth, the Salamence gave a mighty roar.

And on the other side was an Axew.

"You think you can beat me with that!?" The Salamence's trainer laughed before smiling wickedly. "Your cute little Pokémon will suffer the great eternal wrath of my Salamence's monstrous flames, suffering for all of eternity. Your Pokémon will cry out in pain, feel as if a burning fire was consuming it endlessly, yet you will not be able to help it. It shall feel this pain for an eternity, and there is nothing you can do about it!"

The only response he got for this was a sigh. "Axew, use Dragon Rage."

It was super effective, and the Salamence was destroyed in a few hits.

As the crowd stared in shock, Iris simply scoffed and walked right back to the waiting room. This was a tournament of some of the greatest dragon type trainers in the entire world. Her plan was to bring Serena here and impress her with her battling skills, which would then make her swoon and lead to some 18 scenes. But unfortunately Serena refused, and Iris was left with this.

"Iris! Iris! Go go go! Iris! Iris! Go go go!" Wearing a cheerleader outfit, Dawn was in the crowd cheering at the top of her lungs every time Iris appeared for a second. Iris cringed each time she had to walk into the stadium, but tried not to show it.

"Seems like you have quite the enthusiastic fan." Greeting Iris with a friendly smile was her friend Zinnia. The two only met a few days ago, but their bond was so strong it was like they've known each other for years. "Who's that, your girlfriend?"

"She'd wish," Iris replied with a scoff. "She's the most annoying and irritating person I know. I hate her."

"You hate me!?" Having just walked in, Dawn just stands there in shock. The pom poms fall to the ground. Her entire body shakes. Her eyes well up with tears that start to roll down her face.

"I'm sorry!" Yelling out to her love one last time, Dawn runs out as glistening teardrops rain down to the ground. Her face looked rejected, with the tears destroying every bit of makeup on her, but all Dawn could think about was the weight Iris's words carried.

"Okay," Iris responded. "I don't care."

"Hey!" As if none of that happened, Dawn's tears disappeared as she faced Iris with seemingly no sadness in her body. "In a situation like that you're supposed to chase after me and apologize, assuring me that it's all a misunderstanding! Then while I cry about how I don't believe you, you tell me about all the things you think are nice about me and make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world! Then to top it all off you give me a kiss, which leads to a proposal, then we get married, and live the rest of our lives together! Isn't it romantic!?"

"Okay," Iris responded. "I don't care."

Dawn pouted, Iris chuckled, and Zinnia just looked around confused.

"So," Zinnia said. "This girl is not your girlfriend?"

"Oh no no no," Dawn said. "You've got it all mixed up. I'm more than just her girlfriend, I've shared many experiences with her that go far beyond that sort of relationship. We eat together, sleep together, bath together, use the bathroom together. We even took each other's first time."

Zinnia's face was a combination of surprised feelings, confused feelings, and "what the f*ck is going on here?" feelings. She immediately turned to Iris who, after hearing that, groaned quite loudly.

"I've told you multiple times Dawn," Iris groaned. "Please stop lying to people about our relationship. It's annoying having to explain the truth to them right afterwards."

"You're right," Dawn said. "I guess I got a bit carried away back there. Sorry."

Iris made a sigh of relief, content that she wouldn't have to deal with the trouble.

"Judging from how you interacted just now," Zinnia said. "I guess it's safe for me to assume you two aren't dating after all?"

"You're right," Dawn said. "I haven't been the most honest with you today. You see, the truth is we aren't dating. None of what I said before is actually true. The truth about our relationship is... we're engaged!"

Iris groaned. "She's such a little kid."
