Notes before reading: There are traces of My Hero Academia and the Marvel universe in this story, but are more of a side fact. This is pure Halo otherwise; no Quirks and Mutations are extremely rare to nonexistent in this universe. Further lore will be explained in later chapters.

Humanity was facing it's darkest hour. Colony after colony was falling to the destructive hands of the Covenant, millions were dying by the day, and there seemed to be no way to stop them. The Spartans, the peak of humanity, did all they could on the ground and even then their efforts are not enough.

The head Admirals of the UNSC had a small hope they hadn't made public; on a colony not yet destroyed, rested a hero from a time long passed. The only problem was that Insurrectionists had gotten a hold of the cryo pod containing the hero some months ago, not fully understanding just who they were holding hostage and just how far ONI was willing to go to retrieve this individual. They didn't hesitate to give Blue Team the order to retrieve the Last Avenger.

In the head ship of the Fleet of Particular Justice, stood the Supreme Comander along with holograms of his subordinate commanders. Their selection of slip coordinates had always been generated randomly by a simple minded AI construct, but not this time.

"Supreme Commander, are sure of this?" asked one of the commanders.

"If she truly is a human, she'll need to be hidden away from the Hierarchs," another chimed in. "I doubt the Prophets will change their minds regarding the humans, even given evidence that they may be worthy of the Great Journey."

"Regardless, I will not leave my mate to die," the Supreme Commander spoke. He clenched his left claw, where his soul mate's name in human script had always appeared faded but solidified only a day ago. "Once she is located, I will be swift in retrieving her, and the planet shall be glassed as commanded by the Prophets."

The Insurrectionists had a rude wake up call that morning. Several of their power generators literally blew up with no apparent reason, and it took several hours for anyone to notice the cryo pod they'd stole from the UNSC was now open and vacant. Gashes lined the control panels of the vault containing the pod, almost like someone took an axe to the paneling.

None of them could find any human tracks leading away from the hideout, but they did search the nearby forests for signs of anyone hiding or running. However, they had no idea that their hostage was well away from their search parameters. They had lost a huge bargaining chip.

A woman with braided blond hair quietly ran through the forest in a tattered hero costume. She saw the date in the base she escaped from; she was displaced by five centuries, almost like what Captain America went through. However, it looked like no one had a Quirk or mutation. Did something happen to revert humanity back to it's original state? She'd need to find out how to get up to speed, but first she needed shelter while also blending in.
