*Tigerstar is Tiger(heart)star!
Chapter 1-
Redstrip's POV
It's a rainy moonrise in ThunderClan today. I thought as a fat raindrop fell onto my snout. I watched silently as Crystalstream darted forward to get a piece of Fresh-kill as the Hunting Patrol dashed into the hollow. With Berrynose at the lead they dropped their prey onto the Fresh-kill pile. Crystalstream picked a shrew and took it to the Medicine Den for Alderheart.
Suddenly, the Thorn Berrier shook. I sprang to my paws.
Frostpelt dashed in, her fur fluffed up and dripping. "Yikes! It's wet!" She shrieked.
I sighed. She hates water.
Sandstar padded from the Dirtplace tunnel and headed in my direction. Uh oh, am I in trouble?
"Keep your fur on Redstripe. I just want to talk." Sandstar explained.
"O-okay, is something wrong?" I ask shaking raindrops from my whiskers.
"Don't worry, nothings wrong. Frostpelt wanted me to tell you about a few things." She said then began licking her paw.
What? Why would the prettiest she-cat in the Clan want Sandstar to tell me 'A few things'? "What kind of few things?" I prompt.
"Well, she wanted to tell you this herself but said she was too nervous…"
Nervous? Frostpelt? No way, she's too brave for that!
"...that?" She finished. "Umm, I'm sorry, can you repeat that? I-I got lost in my thoughts." I say, twitching my tail. Why do I do that?
"I said Frostpelt wants to be your mate! Make sure you listen next time."
MY MATE? WOAH, "Wha-"
She turned and whisked her tail. "She would like to hear what you think about that." She called over her shoulder.
"Well, lookie there! You said you thought you would never get a mate!" Crystalstream said from behind me.
I jumped. "Crystalstream! You startled me!" I say.
My mother dropped a mouse at my paws. "After you eat this, go talk to her. I would tell you to share it, but she already shared a rabbit with Ambermoon."
Ambermoon? Maybe she's Frostpelt's mother… "Okay. Thank you Crystalstream." I say as she stalked off towards Coalstripe.
"You were supposed to go hunting with me! You promised!" She spat.
I began to eat my mouse.
"It started to rain! I'm not going hunting in a downpour! Besides, all the good prey is probably hiding." Coalstripe hissed.
Coalstripe is my father, it looks like he's not getting along with my mother like they used to. "Ouch!" I say as Poppyfrost steps on my tail.
"Sorry Redstripe. It's crowded in here." She says.
It's about time we added more room in the Warrior's Den.
Frostpelt padded from Sandstar's den and settled down in the shadows beside the Medicine Den.
I sprang to my paws too quickly. Pain shot through my paw and I fell to the side. Alderheart saw and padded into the Medicine Den. He quickly hurried out with a bundle of herbs. He dropped them at my paws.
"Eat these Poppy Seeds and rest. Your paw should feel better at sunrise." He said.
"But, I was going to go talk to Frostpelt!" I protested.
"No. You rest until sunrise!" He spat. With a flick of his tail, he padded back to the Medicine Den.
As I got up to go to my nest, The patrol came back with two WindClan Apprentices, Icepaw and Snowpaw.
Those Apprentices are always up to no good. Last time I saw them, they were eating a mouse that they caught on our territory!
Frostpelt stopped mid- belly wash, and padded over, ears flat. "Were these Apprentices on our territory?" She asked, tail twitching.
"Yes. They claim they were searching for herbs." Lilyheart said. She's the leader of the Patrol.
Each Patrol has to have a leader and at least three to four Warriors.
"I'm a Medicine Cat Apprentice! I'm allowed to cross borders!" She yowled.
"Not when you're sniffing around a holly bush looking for prey!" Twigbranch spat.
This'll be good! I love action!
"We were looking for Marigold! Dogs tore up our only plant!" Snowpaw growled.
Alderheart padded from the Medicine Den with a wad of Marigold leaves.
I guess he was watching from the entrance to his den.
"Here. This should last a moon or two. Go back to your Clan." Alderheart said.
"Yes, and don't come back into our territory without asking a Patrol permission first!" Frostpelt snarled.
I padded back into the Warrior's Den and curled up in my nest. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get to sleep.
At Moonhigh, Frostpelt came into the den. "Hello Redstripe." She whispered.
The more I think about it, the more I want to be her mate. "Can we be mates?" I blurted.
"I thought you'd never ask!" She purred and curled up beside me.
As I felt her warm Tabby fur, I realized how sleepy I was. I fell asleep purring.
? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ? ゚ミᄒ?
I woke to pale dawn light. Frostpelt had gotten up earlier to organise the Patrols. Deputy's are always the cat who organises the Patrols.I padded from the den and stretched. I wonder if she'll choose me for a Patrol.
I padded up to the crowd of cats waiting to hear if they'll be on any of the Patrols.
"...I will lead another Hunting Patrol towards the WinClan border. Redstripe, Ambermoon, and Crystalstream will follow."
As the Warriors departed one of the Apprentices darted up. "Why can't we go on a Patrol?" Whistlepaw asked.
"Because you Apprentices will be gathering herbs, changing bedding, and getting rid of the Elder's ticks." Frostpelt ordered.
I stifled a mrrow of laughter.
Whistlepaw twisted her face in disgust. "I call collecting herbs!" She shouted to her denmates, who were a couple of tail lengths away, looking disappointed.
The camp has six dens. The Leader has The Leader's Den, the Warrior's have The Warrior's Den, the Medicine Cat has The Medicine Den, the Elder has The Elder's Den, and the Queens and Kits have The Nursery.
Frostpelt jumped down from HighLedge and bounded out of The Hollow.
Me and the rest of the Hunting Patrol Follow. I picked up the speed until I bounded alongside Frostpelt.
She halts, purrs, and turns around. "Ambermoon, Crystalstream, You hunt along the border."
They seem happy. Maybe their best friends.
"Me and Redstripe will hunt in that direction." She points with her tail. The Patrol splits up. Frostpelt starts sniffing around.
I spot a mouse and drop into The Hunter's Crouch. I creep forward. *CRACK* "Mouse dung!" I snarl and chase after the mouse. I leap, and swiftly give the killing bite.
"Good catch, Redstripe! You learned from being an Apprentice!" Frostpelt says as I trot up to her with the mouse dangling from my jaws.
My pelt grew hot. When I was an Apprentice, I never watched where I put my paws. I purr.
All of a sudden, we hear the screech of battling cats. Frostpelt dashes in the direction of the sound.
I stay put, too stunned to move. I hear a yowl of pain. Crystalstream! I dash forward, pain shooting through my leg as I step into a hole. I stumble. "Mouse dung!"
Just like when I was an Apprentice, I can never do anything right!
As I streak from the bushes, I see a WindClan Patrol battling Ambermoon and Crystalstream.
Frostpelt lets out a battle cry and yanks Breezepelt off of Ambermoon.
I leap into battle. As I attack Emberfoot, Leaftail comes out of nowhere and pins me to the ground, one paw on my throat, the other paw ready to slice open my belly.
I shut my eyes. This is it, I never made it to having kits of my own!
"Get off of my mate!" Frostpelt shrieks. The weight lifted.
I sprang to my paws.
Frostpelt raked her claws down Leaftail's flank.
She screeches and runs back across the border.
"Cowards, flea- pelts!" I spat as Leaftail shouts at her Clanmates to retreat. I look around and let out a wail of anguish.
Crystalstream was lying on her side, blood oozing from a wound on her neck.
"I'll get Alderheart!" Frostpelt yowls.
"Wait! You know some herbs from your training! Help her, I'll get Alderheart!" I dash away without waiting for a response.
I hope I get there in time!
"Alderheart!" I cry as I dash into The Hollow. My chest tightens.
He bounds out of the Medicine Den. "What happened?" Alderheart demands and starts to sniff me over.
"Attacked… by… WindClan… Crystal...stream… needs… help!" Somethings wrong, I can't catch my breath. I sway, Darkness pressing at the end of my vision. My chest tightens, I collapse.
