Livius followed the woman into the rain kingdoms main palace passing through the main area down a corridor and into a dimly lit room. Opening the door, there sat Toharu, exhaustion set on her face. Her voice was hoarse as she spoke, "King Livius, what are you doing here?"

"I came to see how my wife is progressing it's been some time..." he replied his eyes narrowed looking around the room finding a white marble tub. "What's with the tub? Why do you look so tired, and where is my wife?"

"She's. In. The. Tub." Toharu replied panting. "I've done all I can, it's up to her now."

Walking over Livius looked in the tub and saw Nike floating on the surface of the water. Her eyes were closed while hands were clasped across her chest breathing slow and steady. She was no longer pale and her color looked much more vibrant, but why was she like this?

"What happened to her?"The king asked using on finger to slowly trace a long on her cheek

"Spirit shatter... simply put she overly exerted herself trying to put that fire out and using the pales of water as a means to force the rain out her spirit broke. Her will to save the town over rules the magic in her body so to make up for it her spirit was used. It can have major adverse effects as you know her mother's health condition... however, Nike's was not as severe. It won't effect her as much. She will still be strong like she was but she needs to wake her self from this slumber if we have hope for a full recovery. The longer she sleeps the more adverse affects the pool of tides ands mists will have her."

"Pool of tides and mists?" He asked.

"Where she is now, it's a magic imbued marble tub, the mineral properties in it mixed with our rain magic help to infuse who ever is in it with spirit. Don't ask me how it works to be honest I'm not really sure anymore. I didn't work for her mother because her illness was more than broken spirit, but Nike is much strong than her mother. The process has required a powerful rain caller sing for her days at a time. Since I'm he strongest behind Nike in the nation, I've been singing to her 5 hours a day every day for last few months. Her spirit is restored now. She only need to wake up. You may stay with her here, we plan to move her to a normal bed shortly. I will rest now..." Toharu said walking out, stumbling slightly.

He doesn't need to know how the healing process works, my spirit essence was enough to save her, how much of my life span that took... I don't know but for my precious Nike there is no cost to high...Toharu thought walking back to her room and laying down. "I'll take a quick...nap-" she said as her eyes closed.

"Neil, please tell the crew to bring in the things we brought for the rain kingdom. As well as set up an audience with Kitora. I wish to know if he had anything to do with-"

"LIVIUS!!!!!l" someone said. Livi turned to see Kitora. "How could you let this happen to her?" He questioned his anger seething.

"That's precisely I'm here. Cousin. You knew of our plans for consummation and the desire for us to produce heirs. How do I know it wasn't you who set my town and orchards of fire?"

"Kitora honey, calm down..." one of Nike's sisters said walking up to him wrapping her arms around his was hugging him.

"I'm sorry my love, Nike is like a sister to me I was raging when I saw her state upon arrival" he said taking a deep breath.

"You're married?" Livi asked.

"Yes, to one of Nike's older sisters. So no it wasn't me trying to get her back here. I'm happily married have been for 3 years" he spat back.

"Why weren't we informed or better yet why wasn't Nike invited?" I asked.

"Well it was spur of the moment you see-"

"Daddy!!!" A little boy yelled running down the hall.

"Emry we must not yell in the halls, Aunt Nike is sleeping remember?"

"Yes daddy."

"I understand. I'll be taking my wife to our room. We shall see you at dinner should she wake. Kitora... sorry for assuming and congratulations on your beautiful family. Nike will be thrilled to meet Emry" Livius said waving as he walked past the rain kingdom family. His heart heavy knowing his wife is still sick and now he's back to square one with no leads on the arsonist.

"Please wake up my love..." he whispered leaning down to Nike as he scoped Her up from the tub. She stirred slightly then continued sleeping

Livus POV

It's been two days since I had arrived. Nike continues to look better and better but she is still sleeping. I think she's dreaming honestly she makes some hilarious noises like she does when we share our bed at home. Maybe she'll wake today...

"Neil keep an eye on here I'm going for my morning jog"

"Yes your majesty"

A few hours later...

"Livius-sama! She's awake! She woke up!" Neil screamed from the Awning outside running down to me and saying it again. Running back from the path I was on I climbed the stairs and burst into our room.

"Nike.. "

"Oh hello Livius, happy birthday! Sorry I missed-"

Running over I flung my arms around her. "Don't you ever push yourself like that again... I forbid you..." I said shakily holding her.

"I'm sorry my love..." she whispered back, "where is my grandmother?"

"Honey, your grandmother has fallen in to a slumber like you were from trying to mend your spirit. She will be fine but she might not wake for sometime. Please stay here and rest", she said glancing at me, "Your father and I have missed you both." Iraha said.

"Can we have some privacy?" I asked. Everyone nodded leaving the room. My legs finally giving out as my knees hit the floor bedside to Nike.

"Livius are you-" she said worried.

"I thought I lost you... I was prepared... I was prepared to burn the entire kingdom to the ground to find who did this to you ... the only way to cool the heat of the sun is with water... you are mine... I cannot be without you Nike." I said looking up tears filling my eyes.

"Livius..." she said quietly placing hand on my cheek as she leaned in and kissed me, "I'll never leave you... well maybe if stay smelly like you are right now I just might" she chuckled.

"I've been exercising a ton... you've been out for months Nike...I'll got bathe are you hungry should I call for some food?" I asked standing then removing my sweaty shirt heading over to where our bathroom was.

"No," she said turning pink. Looking at her I chuckled, "but I would like a bath as well. Shall we go together?" She asked shyly.

Taken aback by her answer, I halted as turned around, "You just woke up and need rest. As much as I would love nothing more than to bathe with you, I cannot promise to keep my hands to myself... I almost lost you...I shall draw you a bath then bathe once you are done"

"No." She said flatly, "I almost died, I will not separate from you. In my slumber I... It was dark... so dark Livi, I was so alone and so scared. Don't leave me... " she said her eyes glossing over and tears began to fall.

"Nike... Nike. Nike!" I said shaking her slightly she as awoke from her daze.

"Sorry... I had nightmares the entire time it felt like" tears flowing from her eyes.

"Come on my Queen", i said scooping her up to carry her into our bathroom. "Sit here on the counter and don't move I'll be right back."

"Okay..."

Walking out I went outside our room and found Neil. "Please bring some food to our room and leave it on the parlor. Nike requested a bath so I am assisting her. Also make sure her clothing and necessities are off the ship and in our room." I said turning.

"Hai! Livius-same"

Walking back inside I went to the bathroom and found my wife. She was Sitting on the counter humming to herself eyes close and kicking her legs back and forth. Reaching to the faucet I started the bath. The tub was large. It was also stone but granite instead of marble. Placing some of the scented oils in the water checked the temperature making sure it was hot but not scalding. Walking back over to Nike I picked her back up setting her down on her feet. I forgot how much taller I am compared to her now...I thought looking down at her smiling face. Gripping the bottom of her white tunic I pulled it up and over her head. She had on nothing underneath. Contain yourself Livi... she is not well.

"Let me help" she said as her hands went for the buttons on my trousers halting them I spoke, "let's wait on that Nike... come here let me wash your back." After I had scrubbed and cleaned her she stood up and walked to the tub. Her whole body glistened... this is much more difficult than I thought. Looking down at my already erect self... get it together...

Turning from her I undressed with my back to her scrubbed myself clean and spoke, "close your eyes Nike... "

"Why? I've seen you before?" She asked confused.

"Because I don't want you to see my state right now are not well and of course me and my vulgar self has ..."

"Oh... " she said turning pink moving to the side of the tub where her back was facing me.

"Scoot forward." I said. She moved forward and I slid down behind her seating her in between my legs and wrapping my arms around her waist the warmth of her skin invading my sense of touch. I don't even care if she can feel my want for her. Taking a deep breath I moved her hair to the side and planted small kisses on her necks

"Nike..you know, this is the first time I've seen you completely unclothed where it's not dark..." I murmured as she put both hands on the tops of my thighs. Her touch light under the water. Loosening one arm, I reached up with my right hand cupping her left breast as I continued kissing her neck.

"Livius..."she moaned as my thumb grazed her nipple.

I stopped my ministrations trying to contain the beast within.

"Sorry", putting my forehead to her back...

"For what?" She asked turning in the tub to look at me. She put her hand on my chin and lifted my head, "Never apologize for showing your affection and desire of me. It is one of my greatest joys... " she said.

I could see the sincerity in her eyes as she brought her lips to mine she closed them. I kissed her and she kissed me. It was a long loving kiss. Full of emotion and love for the other, but I turned passionate and needy. Nike had turned her body during our kiss, she was wrapping her arms around my neck and starting to straddle my lap on her knees. Her kisses grew more needy, full of desire and heat as our breathing picked up. Wrapping my arms around her I cradled her back with one hand and gripped her behind with the other. She moaned at the contacted.

"You're so beautiful," I said in between kisses as she started to grind her core against me pelvis. It would be all too easy to flex my hips and slide into her, but I knew better. I didn't want our first time to be in a tub.

"Livius... i thought I lost you in those dreams..." she said tears stinging her eyes, "I don't want to wait any more I don't want to be separated from you in any sense. I'm your wife, please, I feel fine just take me.. I won't break..." she said look up with water loving eyes.

Bringing one hand to her face i cupped her cheek, "are you positive you are alright? My self control isn't all it used to be especially after almost losing you... If anything hurts or you are unable, please stop me..." I said .

"Hai" she said smiling. Being strong had its advantages, I let her slip off my lap, stood up then picked her up allowing her to wrap her legs around my waist and her arms to lock around my neck. Our bodies were wet and the slippery contact made the trek to the bed feel like an eternity. Placing her down I walked over to our door and locked it.

"If any one comes... I will not open this door, do you hear me.. they must be in life or death. If Neil comes do not answer him... better yet, " I paused writing on a piece of paper and pinning it to the outside of the door, "that'll do the trick."

"What did you write??" She asked.

"Oh nothing..." I said walking over to our bed to be with my gorgeous wife...

No one POV

Neil had returned from the ship with all of Nike's things as well as food for the royal family.

"I hope she enjoys this soup I asked them for.." walking up to the door he saw a piece of paper and read it aloud

"Do Not Disturb!l if you know what's good for you!"

"Oh dear, I better leave now. I guess their sleep-"

"Livius..."

"Nope no... definitely not sleeping... about time though. I hope we get an heir..."
