No one POV
Nike looked up at her husband. His eyes full of concern yet a certain level of need and want from her. She understand his feelings and for the last few years waiting for this moment, this one moment in time where their love would be shared as their bodies became one was something she'd often dream of. She had so many plans for his birthday, so many ways in which she wanted to enjoy her husband and the consummation of their marriage, But as recent events prevented that from happening she was still Elated to be with him now especially after everything.The same could be said for the king. After everything that happened, the months they were apart, the years of being ready for a more physical relationship and being restricted, he was also just as happy as she was that they could be together like this. Looking up at him again her eyes felt tired, they seemed to strain to look at him and felt heavy as fog seemed form in her vision...
"Livius... I love you" Nike said looking up at him and although she was tired she still wanted him she wanted to try.
"Nike... I don't want to hurt you.I almost lost you once...you look so tired now... is this not enough for right now? " Livius said dropping his head to her chest in the small soft valley that was between her breasts.

He could hear her heart beating. Its rhythm slow and steady, it was calming to him. Nike ran her fingers through his his dark hair as he laid there, careful not to allow all his body weight on her.

Hair still wet and completely naked he made sure more blankets were on her bed, she didn't need a cold right now. Walking back over to the bathroom he grabbed a towel and dried himself then got dressed and slowly exited from their room.
Livius POV
I sighed leaving our bedroom glancing back at my naked wife. Calm down... was I disappointed? No. To be honest that brief moment I spent lying on her chest skin to skin makes the wait even more worthwhile. She was so soft.
"Your majesty...I thought?" Neil said turning the corner looking very surprised...
"Ready our ship.. we will be leaving tomorrow when the tide is high. We must return. Has Toharu woke yet?" I asked pulling my jacket on. "Shit... my hair is still damp.."
"I can bring you a towel your majesty-"
"Don't bother let's go see Toharu"
Knocking on her door I heard her say to enter. Her voice sounded strange.. it seemed almost too weak to be the fiery woman I knew.
"How...is...she...Livius?" Toharu said panting.
"She is quite well, sleeping in fact. More importantly how are you? You seem weak baba-sama" I said tryin to tease her. Even I could see she was at deaths door. This will Devastate Nike...
"Oh I ..am...alright-" she started coughing loudly, "please take Nike and leave here at once...before I cross over... she is still too weak to handle this."
"You and I both know if I take her it might break her even more..." I said looking down.
"Then you must be there for her... once I'm... gone..." she said coughing more
"You're majesty should I wake the queen?" He asked.
"Toharu-sama, what do you want us to to? Do you wish to say goodbye?" I asked, my eyes stinging. Even though this old brute of a woman was annoying and overly opinionated, I had grown to love her as my own grandmother.
"Bring my grandchild here there things I must say... before..."she said closing her eyes
"Toharu!" I yelled.
"Can it you brat... I'm only closing eyes for now... bring me Nike."
"Hai.."
Leaving the room I ran back out our bedroom, Nike didn't get a long nap but she needed to come quickly leaning over I rubbed her shoulder.
"Nike, my love, wake up your grandmother needs you..."
"Mhmm grandmother?...Grandmother...Is she alright???" She said once it clicked.
"No my love.. her time fleeting..." I said watching as my wife's eyes turned watery and tears slowly streamed.
"Take me too her" she said getting up heading for the door. I grabbed her by the waist pulling her back into my body, "you need clothes first my love." I said pointing at the dresser holding her pink dress and brown boots.
"Oh dear.." she said realizing she was naked, "oh dear earlier we were going to... and I fell... I'm so sorry Livius.." Walking to the dresser she put her clothes on quickly and we headed out towards her grandmothers room.
"Grandma..."she said tears filling her eyes, "why are you like this?"
"Come now child, you didn't think I'd stay on this earth forever? God saw it was my time and he's calling me home..." Toharu said looking from her to me, "it's the price we pay to experience a full and wonderful life on earth, my life was full of happiness and love as you will be and one day... you'll have to pay that kindness back"
She healed her with her own life force ...I thought as Toharu s eyes locked with mine she shook her head. She doesn't want Nike to know...
"I love you child, I will... always... love..." her breathing stopped before the last word of her sentence...
"Grandma! Grandma! No no no grandma! Please Livius do something ! Neil! Someone!!!" Nike said falling to the floor tears flowing from her face.
"Nike... I'm so sorry" I said stooping down and encircling her with my arms.
"Why., it's not fair... why..." Nike continued.
"You were so loved wife, cry all you need..."
Nike POV
The days that followed my grandmothers death were a blur. Even her funeral was fuzzy to remember. During the day Neil would keep me company and at night Livius would hold me as I cried on him until exhaustion would take me. It's been 3 days since grandma left me. As. I turned in the bed to look out the window I saw the sun, the trees blowing in the wind.
"The day is much too beautiful..." I said then I opened my mouth and began to sing, "please come the tender rain..." my sadness filled the air, as I sang it stirred and dark clouds formed. The rain that fell was warm and in large droplets
"Nike..." my husband said putting his hand on my cheek, "I know it hurts honey, but we are leaving today, please stop the rain... if you can."
"I'm.. sorry Livi" I said sniffling and wiping my eyes as the rain cleared. "When are we returning?"
"This afternoon we will leave. I've gathered all your things you only need to get on the boat.
"I want to leave now..." I said, "Everything here reminds me of my grandmother and I cannot bear it"
"Very well I will inform Neil. I had already had the ship prepared in case you requested this, come I'll help you get ready."
I followed him to the bathroom where he brushed my hair and helped me with my clothes. Shortly after we said goodbye to the rest of my family and we set sail for the sun kingdom.
"Home..." I said after days and weeks of travel we finally made it. My beloved sun kingdom. Most of the square has been rebuilt from the fires. "Livi, did you ever find the culprit for the fires?"
"Not while you were away. Uncle has been taking care of that and the royal guard has been as well. We have no leads still... I promise I will keep you safe. Come let's get to the castle it's been a long journey." He said, taking my hand we walked back to our home.
"It feels so nice to be here. What are you plans for the rest of this evening Livi?" I asked, I wasn't to keen on being alone.
"I have a tremendous amount of work to catch up on. Uncle probably did nothing while we were away so I won't be coming to bed more than likely..."
"Oh. I understand, please try to get some rest you cannot run a kingdom on no sleep." I said walking into our bathroom to bathe and get dressed for the evening.
"Hai hai," he said kissing mg forehead then hugging me and leaving our rooms
Clapping my hand Sri my cheeks I decided I would unpack. "Let's get started" while it didn't take me long I was able to put away all the clothes, stow the bags, bathe and prep for bed. I looked out my window and saw the light in his office was still on. It's already past midnight ... how long must you stay away... I thought. "Livius..." I said as my longing for my husband grew. I desired for be held by him. Comforted, and right now I wanted nothing more than to melt away in his arms and love.
"Fine. I'll come to you..." I said ripping open my wardrobe I looked the back bottom drawer and pulled out the sexiest undergarments I could find. "These look new!"
