Creatures ran amok, cackling at the horrified screams that filled the new dusk. The petrified remains of people filled the streets of Deedstown in various arrays of terror, it filled the air with a glee only those of cruel hearts could enjoy. Those that still lived were preparing themselves for a fight they weren't sure they could win.

Despite all this, our Aunt Spitzy walked calmly through downtown Deedstown.

"A gal goes away for a couple hundred years and everything changes." She shook her head at the catastrophe before her. Spitzy crooks her head at one of the many petrified humans. "That cement shopper wasn't here."

Above the chaos flew Casper and his friends. Mantha, who had positioned herself in the bird's nest, spied the ruined town through the spyglass she stole from Cappy.

"Deedstown hoe!" She cried.

Casper flew up and took the spyglass from her, gazing down at the horrors that was his beloved home. He gasped as someone filled his sights.

"Oh no, Jimmy!"

He handed the spyglass to Mantha and swooped down at full speed. He'd be damned a second time before he let his best friend perish.

Mosshead peered around the corner at Jimmy before taking aim. Just as he looked up at his fate, Casper came down and grabbed his friend. The spray of liquid hit Jimmy's bicycle and the force of him being pulled in the air flung the offending thing at Mosshead. Bad day for him.

Jimmy arose into the sky, not sure if he was dead or spontaneously gained the ability to fly.

"What's happening?" The boy asked, watching devastating rain down upon Deedstown.

"Don't worry, Jimmy." Casper assured his shaken friend. "I'll protect you."

Jimmy scowled at the ghost, still very hurt from before. "Yeah, just like the last time."

"It was wrong to do what I did, but we've got to pull together." Casper said, still going through a whirlpool of emotions. "Right now friendship is the only thing that can save us."

Jimmy was silent for a few beats before going, "That is a terrible apology. That wasn't even an apology."

"Yeah, I know… Now, here's what we're gonna do."

Cappy stood dauntless against the four gargoyle fiends that closed in on him. He waved his hook hand, which had been changed into a sword beforehand, around him without an ounce of fear.

"Come on, ye cowards. I'll take on both of ye at once."

One of the gargoyles gave the blind pirate a blank look. " Uh, there's four of us."

"Uh oh." Whoops. Maybe a little more fear than anticipated.

"Cappy!" Suddenly a shrill voice cheered.

"Beaky!" Cappy had never felt more happy to hear that voice.

"Left! Okay, up! Now go right! Down! 43 degrees. Okay, port. Uh, starboard! Half!"

"It's great to have you back, but I cannae hold 'em off forever!"

"You don't have to!" Shouted another voice.

Mantha's head came barrelling through, taking out all the gargoyles while Ra tied them up. Ah, the unsung pros to being undead.

Alder and Dash flew overhead in their tiny boat, raining their potion down on the poor humans below. This appears to be all that remains of Deedstown.

Or so they thought. Casper and his friend had another thing planned. They put them through the ringer as they dragged them through the town. With soccer balls and trip wires. No one ever expects the trip wires. Casper ducked and dove through trees and houses as he led them to the haunted house he called home.

They were right behind Casper when they pulled up right in front of a very crossed Belle and Murrey.

"Don't you dare point that thing at us."

"Ancle?!" they stuttered out before their boat finally collapsed from the damages and they fell to the earth.

Their vision swam before them. They could hardly believe their eyes. Even if it just was a hallucination from a concussion, this was the happiest they've felt in years.

"Ancle, it's really you. We thought it was just a dream!" Alder said with a watery smile.

The four embraced each other, happy to be reunited.

"We're glad to see you too," Murrey said. "But you've got some explaining to do!"

Belle frowned at her now grown boys. "What's all this about taking over the world, upsetting the balance, and turning everyone to stone!?"

The two childish men looked scared, "It was his idea!" "It was his idea!" They pointed fingers at each other. "No, it was your idea!" "No, it was your idea!" And they immediately began to strangle one another.

"Boys, no fighting." Murrey scolded the two.

"Say," Belle began, the two perking up. "Is there something behind Alder's ear, Murrey?" She teased.

The elder man reached behind Alder's ear and revealed, "A shiny quarter!" Alder was delighted beyond any possible expression.

"Maybe we might even sing a song for you." Belle said. The murderous adults started clapping in joy.

"If you stop trying to destroy the entire world and undo this mess you made."

"And turn all these creatures and people back to normal."

Dash blinked, baffled and flustered. "But, ancle!"

"No buts! Do you both understand us?" Belle asked.

The two headed duo hanged their heads in sadness. "Yes, ancle…"

Of course, after that heartwarming yet quite embarrassing moment Thatch came in and ruined everything. Who knew giving the emotionally repressed bully a weapon that is about at war crime tier was a bad idea! However, it wasn't enough to stop our skeleton girls. This is why you help people. To make convenient friends.

Of course, after reversing everything, Kibosh was forced into immediate damage control mode. They did, after all, try to commit mass genocide on the population of Deedstown. It was weeks before any creatures were allowed in the human world after that. There were talk on what was to be done to Alder and Dash but since there was literally no one else who was able to work in the headmasters position, it was decided that their punishment would consist of three weeks of endless torture and supervised work at Scare School for the next ten years. Belle and Murrey were horrified but they were forced to accept it as this was the lightest sentence they could offer.

As for what happened to the remaining friendly creatures, it was up for debate but they realized that the Valley of the Shadows was a rather cruel prison for creatures that didn't do anything. They weren't even sure where it came from to be honest. As they couldn't assimilate to society, they were largely forced into isolation.

I recognize that this is an incredibly lazy way to tie this fic off, however, I don't care at the moment. You think a rewrite was gonna make this better? HAH! Naw, expect better content in New Bait. bye bitch
