GoosePups Halloween: Tales From The BOG.

GH4 1: Children Of The BOG (Part 7).

Four Weeks Later...

My blue eyes shot open and i, Tommy Brown, sat up on a bed and looked at my surroundings, realizing that i was inside the pirate captain's chamber-room of the pirate ship.

I got off the bed and walked over to the windows where i looked out and saw that the ship was now in the bog area of the swamp world, floating above the black rotting lake.

"The world is a dream..." Came a female voice from behind, causing me to turn to face the source of it, which turned out to be Stacy's ghost. "from which you never wake. Ever had that one? A dreadful nightmare you know is not real, but...your sleep is so heavy...so deep...so powerful...that you just can't wake up. Drowning...in sleep. Slow dream drowning in the soft...black...sea. Do you know that sleep...Tommy?"

I didn't answer her.

"It's death, boy. It's where we end. Well...on Earth anyway." Stacy said. "Would you like some chocolate?"

I then looked and saw glass bowls of chocolate resting on a square-shaped table that had a white cloth over it.

I picked up a piece of chocolate, placed it in my mouth, and began eating it. And to my suprise, it was good. So good, in fact, that i began eating more and more of it. I hadn't eaten since i arrived in this world, so i couldn't help but wolf it down.

Stacy walked up to me from behind. "Childhood is so mysterious. In fact, it's rather frightening. Agree?"

I shrugged my shoulders as i continued eating the chocolate.

Stacy then stretched out her right hand toward a 1700s pirate sword that was plastered on the wall and it flew to her hand and she pointed it at my neck just as i turned to face her, with the tip of the blade being only an inch away from my neck. "Are you brave...Tommy?"

"I-i-i try to be." I stuttered.

"Yes, i see." Stacy said. "Are you scared?"

"Yes." I answered.

Stacy withdrew the sword away from my neck. "Have you ever flown before?"

I shook my head. "No."

Stacy then dropped the sword to the floor, then went over to the windows and looked out at the night sky. "Beyond this world is the world of the living. They celebrate the holiday of Halloween, as you and i know. But before it was the holiday we all know today-with people putting up scary decorations, making Jack-o-Lanterns, and kids dressing up in scary costumes and Trick-or-Treating at night for candy-it was something else. Something darker. Very much darker. Before it was known as Samhain. Samhain is-or was-an ancient Celtic festival that began at sunset on the last day of October-October the 31st-and went to sun-set on November 1st. And it marked the end of harvest season and the beginning of dark winter months. And during this festival, the cattle would be slayn to provide food during the cold, hard winter months. And most importantly, during this festival, it was believed that the souls of the dead would return home. Which explains why i'm standing here before you now." She turned to face me. "Creepy, huh?"

"How do you know all this?" I asked.

"Nothing is kept secret in HeLL...or the other place." Stacy answered.

"You mean Heaven?" I questioned.

"Yeah. Like Heaven." Said Stacy."So...what do you think thus far?"

"I don't believe in ghost-stories." I said.

"Well, you better start believing in ghost-stories, Tommy. You're in one." With that said, Stacy disappeared in a flash of black light, leaving me alone in the room.

Just then, a song sung by the beautiful, angelic voice of a female was heard outside the captain's chamber-room.

This was Sarah Sanderson's song...and her singing it.

Come little children

I'll take thee away

Into a land of enchantment

Come little children

The time's come to play

Here in my garden of magic

Here in my garden of magic

Here in my garden of maaaaaagiiiiiiiiiiic.

I walked over to the door, opened it, and left out of the room, closing the door behind me.

Outside on the deck, i saw the Sanderson sisters, Charlotte holding a carved, lit Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin, the pirates, and Captain Hook.

The door that led downstairs to the brig opened and out came Cameron, Aiden, Keegan and Dylan, with Dylan closing the door.

We all walked over to where the Sanderson sisters, Charlotte, the pirates and Hook were.

"There you are. Right on schedule." Said Wini.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Who's telling the scary story tonight?" I said.

"I am." Said Charlotte.

"Ooh, what's it about?" Sarah asked.

"History. Scary history." Charlotte answered.

"Oooooh." Said the Sanderson sisters, looking at each other.

"Awesome!" Said Mary.

"Sounds like it's rated Arg." Hook joked. "Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Arg. Hahahahahaha!"

No one laughed. Not even me.

"Well, i thought it was funny." Said Hook.

The Sanderson sisters, the pirates, Hook, and the other kids and i, minus Charlotte, sat down in a circle

Charlotte walked in the center of the circle and placed the Jack-O-Lantern on the floor in front of her, followed by sitting down indian style.

"Submitted by the approval of The Children Of The Bog...i call this tale..."90s' Halloween"." Said Charlotte.
