NOTE: So at the time of me writing this, I had just finished an amazing series, Flashpoint. (It's really, really good. Not as good as Sue, but it is one of my favorites. That and the other show the same show creators invented, X Company. I highly recommend both. X Company's season 1 and 2 are insanely good, but be prepared for some very intense topics and to be really sad and shocked in season 3. I was not prepared for some things (nothing like swearing bad things. Things that happen in war). But that is war.) Flashpoint is basically about sniper psychologists, helping people in their most vulnerable and desperate need. They're not necessarily criminals, just everyday people in the wrong place at the wrong time. I normally don't like shows that don't have a good balance of seriousness, sadness and happiness (there is some happiness and laughing moments, but the sadness does take over most of the time), but I have never felt the emotions that Flashpoint emits, it's so deep, so intense A rarity. It had brought me to tears several times (the only other time this has happened is when I watch the Sue finale. That mixture of joy and tears, longing and regret, everything rolled into one.), and I think watching that has helped me write the emotional side of these stories, and I think this chapter highlights this. So I highly recommend the show if you're interested, and I'll share a bit of trivia; one of the show creators was an actor in Sue, and the other show creator was an actor in Toby McTeague with Yannick! (Yannick was in an episode of Flashpoint too!)

"What's your name?" The woman asked as she drove D and Donna to the hospital.
"Demetrius, but everyone calls me D. This is my wife, Donna." He said, unseeingly waving to the backseat.
She nodded, even though he couldn't see that. "I'm Lilly."
"Lilly! What a pretty name!" He replied.
She smiled. "I was born on Easter, and my Mom claimed that instead of sending bouquets of flowers in congratulations, everyone sent lilies, in honor of the holiday. She said she wanted to remember those bouquets the rest of her life, so she named me Lilly."
"What a beautiful way to receive a name."
"Yeah." She whispered.
"You don't sound too happy about the story." He said, hearing a longingness in her comment.
"It's, it's just a reminder every time someone says my name." She replied.
"A reminder?"
She nodded. "That my Mom wasn't here to watch me grow up, fall in love, get married."
"Oh." He replied. "I'm sorry to hear that. But she did leave you with something special. Two things, actually."
"What?"
"Your life, and the story behind your name." He replied. He received silence in response.
"So what happened exactly?" Lilly asked, changing the subject.
D sighed. "We were at home, someone knocked on the door, and the next thing we know, we're on the dark, damp floor of some small room."
"How horrible! But why?" She exclaimed.
He shook his head slightly through the sack. "I have no idea. I've never seen the man before, or at least I don't remember him. Other than letting us to die in the forest, I have no idea the purpose of our kidnapping. I keep thinking about it over and over and I can't come up with anything. There has to be some reason."
Lilly frowned as she continued to silently drive, thinking as well. "We're here." She said a bit later as she stopped the car in front of the hospital.
"Thank you." He gratefully replied as he felt for the door handle.
"Wait!" She exclaimed. He stopped. "I want to see the man and woman I helped today." She replied softly as she reached into her bag, which was on the floor, next to D. "I just happen to have some thick scissors in my bag. I'm a seamstress." She said, then cut the zip tie to find D's worn, but smiling face underneath.
"Thank you." He quietly said, then turned to the door to help his wife into the hospital.
"You're welcome." Lilly whispered to herself, slightly smiling as she watched her good deed go through the doors, disappearing, leaving her to herself and her thoughts.

Jack frowned as he sleepily looked at his phone for a third time during his nap. "Boy, they're persistent." He annoyingly said as he sat upright, seeing the same unknown number calling again. He sighed, staring at the phone. "I guess I better answer. It could be important." With that, he pressed the 'answer' button. "Hello? Hi! What?" He said into the phone, fully awake now. "We'll be there as soon as we can." He said, getting up and hanging up the phone, then proceeded to run back into the bullpen.
"What's all the commotion?" Mya, who was closest to the door asked, annoyed.
"I found them!" He exclaimed to everyone, out of breath because he got up and ran so abruptly.
"Found who?" Sue, who had seen the movement and looked up, asked.
"D and Donna!" Jack happily exclaimed, a wide smile behind his mask.
