"Are you sure you weren't dreaming?" Myles asked. "You were exhausted."
"No, I wasn't. here, look." Jack replied, showing him his phone call history. "He called 3 times, and on the third, I answered."
Myles suspiciously looked at the phone, then at Mya. "Mya, can you-"
"Just give me the number." She replied, interrupting him. Jack walked over to give her his phone. After a bit of typing and looking at the screen, she nodded. "The location is what he said it is. It's the hospital. It has to be D."
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Bobby exclaimed, quickly getting up and grabbing his coat. Everyone else followed suit and within the minute, no one was left in the room.
?-?
"Mr. Gans, we really would like to check you out, if you don't mind." The nurse reminded D for what had to be the 10th time in the hour they had been at the hospital.
"In a bit. I want to make sure my wife is alright." He replied.
"She is, we will take good care of her." She replied.
"I'm sure you will, but I want to be sure. I wasn't harmed, she's sick."
"With all due respect, sir, you were kidnapped. It's policy. Mrs. Gans is reacting nicely to the medication, the infection and inflammation is going down. She will be fine for the 15 minutes we need to check you out."
D slightly frowned at her, thinking.
"You should listen to her." Jack said as he and everyone else piled into the room. "We'll watch her."
He smiled widely behind his mask. "I'm so glad you're here."
Jack smiled as well. "We're glad you're safe. Now, go. Listen to the nurse. If Donna wakes up, we'll tell her how brave you were and that you'll be back in a bit."
He nodded. "Alright. See you in a while." He said as he followed the nurse out the door.
Sue sighed as she settled down in one of the chairs. "I'm so glad they're safe. Did he tell you what happened?"
Jack shook his head. "Not yet." He said and signed. "When he gets back, we'll ask.
She nodded in reply. "If you don't mind, I think I'm going to take a bit of a nap. I think the stress caught up to me, now that they're safe."
Bobby waved his hand for her attention. "I think that happened for all of us."
Jack looked around the room. There were 6 of them, and 2 chairs and a window bench, which could squeeze 3 people. "You all sit, nap. I think I'm going to walk around the hall a bit, if everyone doesn't mind."
No one complained as they all sat down, and Jack walked out of the room. Sue frowned watching him, and within a few seconds, she got up and followed him.
"Is everything alright?" She asked when she got close enough to him in the hallway.
Jack turned around when he heard her voice. "Yeah, of course! Why wouldn't it be?"
"Because you ran out of the room." She replied.
He shrugged. "I just feel like I have extra stress energy to burn."
Sue nodded, understanding. "Come on." She said, waving as she walked down the hall to a small general waiting room, sitting down on a loveseat chair, and patting the seat for him to sit next to her. He did, and they leaned against each other, holding hands. "Sometimes I feel that way after a case, especially if one of us are involved, like this one. You know what I do?"
He shook his head, knowing she would feel the movement, since she couldn't see his mouth.
"I pray. It helps me calm my brain, calm the feelings. I think about how safe they are, rather than what bad things could've happened, but didn't. I thank God that they're safe, that I get another day with them. I always find my brain and my body calm down after that."
"I like that." He whispered to himself, then proceeded to do so. Within the minute, he was asleep.
"Jack?" Sue asked when she felt his body relieve from the stresses, and also relieve from the tension. "Jack?" She asked again. No answer. She moved slightly to see his face to find his eyes closed. She smiled, happy that she could've helped. She decided to do that as well, and the couple napped together on the uncomfortable hospital chair, hand in hand, head to head.
