Author's Note: Sorry for the long hiatus, I've been working on other stories, anyway I got a request to do Brick x Dawn so I'm gonna do it, just be warned not all of my one shots have to be romantic. Remember that as you request the pairing. Anyway this takes place at Playa De Losers during the merge.
Brick was rewatching the episodes in his room and when he got to Backstabbers Ahoy well he felt guilty he watched as Scott framed Dawn and made a confessional about it.
"Yeah I stole that stuff, threw my shark tooth in there too, I was gonna pin it on Brick but Dawn the junk collector got too smart for her own good, yep there can only be one smart guy on this island." Scott smirked on the screen.
"How could I have been so foolish?" Brick asked himself as he facepalmed. Sam and Anne Maria were watching the episode with him.
"It wasn't your fault Brick, Scott played everyone like fools." Sam comforted.
"Yeah at least you weren't lied to about Vito all season like I was." Anne Maria said bitterly.
"She's still mad about the whole love triangle incident." Sam informed him.
"I can see that Sam, maybe I should apologize." Brick suggested.
"That's the spirit Brick, I'm sure she'll forgive you." Sam said happily.
"Indeed, I'm gonna apologize right now." Brick said as he left.
As Brick went through Playa De Losers he saw B working on an invention and Staci blabbering on and on to him. He finally found who he was looking for, Dawn.
"Oh hello Brick." Dawn said happily.
"Hey Dawn, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for assuming you were a thief." Brick apologized "I've been feeling guilty ever since I saw the episode you were eliminated in."
"Oh that's okay Brick, Scott was a very untrustworthy snake, I even fell for his tricks when I was told B hated nature." Dawn said
"Wow Scott really does seem like a schemer." Brick said in shock.
"Indeed. I apologized to B once I realized what Scott did and he forgave me." Dawn replied.
"Well it'd be nice to get to know you better since I didn't exactly get the chance to do so before you got booted." Brick offered.
"Oh what would you like to know?" Dawn asked.
"Well how are you able to read auras?" Brick replied.
"Well I inherited it from my mother who was a fortune teller." Dawn explained.
"Ah that's pretty fascinating, I became a soldier because I wanted to defend our country if something terrible happened." Brick said.
"That's very noble Brick." Dawn complimented.
"Thanks Dawn." Brick said happily.
They continued to talk more and bonded more as the season went on.
In the span of a year, Brick and Dawn bonded more and more and stayed in contact after the season ended, Brick realized he may have had feelings for Dawn, currently they were at Playa De Losers during All Stars where all previous contestants were told to spend time at during the season so they were able to spend more time together. Currently it was the day of the merge so currently Sierra was the most recent contestant eliminated.
Brick was talking to Sam in the snack bar, today was the day he would confess his feelings for Dawn.
"So you're gonna confess your love for Dawn huh, that's great man I was hoping you'd do so eventually." Sam said happily.
"Thanks Sam, I am a bit nervous but my drill sergeant always told me to face my fears head on, besides Dawn is chill I'm sure she won't think any less of me." Brick replied.
Brick then left to see Dawn and she was at the pool meditating.
"Oh hello Brick did you want something?" Dawn asked.
"Dawn, I don't know how to say this so I'll just be upfront. I have feelings for you like more as a friend." Brick explained "If you don't feel the same way that's fine I just had to get this off my chest."
"Oh Brick I knew you felt this way, I noticed your aura was pink when you were around me after we spent some time together." Dawn said "I didn't want to creep you out so I didn't tell you, also I wanted you to gain the courage to confess yourself."
"Oh, well do you like me back?" Brick asked.
"I'm honestly not sure I have feelings for you as well but I'm not sure if I want to start a relationship just yet." Dawn said.
"I understand." Brick replied before walking away but Dawn stopped him.
"But I'm willing to try a practice date if you want." Dawn continued.
"Of course, don't worry Dawn, you won't regret it" Brick cheered.
"Great, I do hope I enjoy it." Dawn said.
