Jay was still there, standing in front of the entrance to the military base, sitting in his car.

The appointment was just a few minutes away. The moment of having to go down to enter was near.

He wasn't ready, he was aware he had no choice, but he just didn't feel like it.

His heartbeat showed no sign of abating, his body trembled like a leaf in the wind.

There was only one person who could reassure him at that moment, or at least encourage him to face the situation.

He was already grateful for her colleague's presence.

Hailey now fully understood this as he had opened up about her and told her the whole situation.

But Jay had decided to call Will. Maybe he could have given him something to calm him down a little.

He knew he couldn't do it alone. Not at that moment.

He picked up the phone and dialed his brother's number. He made it ring for a long time until the answering machine clicked. What happened to Will?

Meanwhile in the hospital, as if he knew it, Dr. Halstead repeated that he needed to go away, to join Jay.

With the drain, however, he was stuck in bed.

- Meggie I have to go, I can't stay here .- he told the nurse that she was still there with him.

- Will thinks you can't move from here. You are alive by a miracle. You were cyanotic when you arrived. You weren't breathing .- she replied

- I need to hear my brother. I need to know how he is ...- he answered.

The nurse offered to pick up the phone and let him have it. His things remained at the nurses' desk.

She had tried to dissuade him, to think for himself but she had not succeeded.

As soon as Will had his cell phone in his hand, he noticed that there was a call in the display. It was just that of his brother.

He immediately dialed the number with agitation.

- Will,- Jay answered on the first ring.

- Hey little brother what's up? - asked the doctor.

- I need you along with Hailey,- he said agitatedly

- I can't reach you right now. What can I do?- Will asked in pain. He would have liked to be with his brother.

- I have to get into the military base, but I can't do it, I can't. - the detective answered almost with tears in his eyes.

- Stay calm, breathe slowly and pass me Hailey. - said the doctor trying to sound calm.

- Hi Will - replied the partner

- Hi, I noticed Jay is very upset,- the doctor said

-Yes, actually he can't control himself. The closer the moment of having to enter comes, the more he gets excited. I asked him to call Voight to take him off the case, but he didn't want to. -

- Jay will never give up, at the cost of being terribly ill.

- Can't you reach us? - asked the detective again.

- Unfortunately not,- Will replied angrily. Being forced there away from his brother caused him great pain like a stab. - Haily listen, I left some tablets under the seat, I had the feeling that he would need them. Make him take one with some water. He should calm him down a little. - explained the doctor

- Thanks little brother - Jay replied having listened to everything as Will was on speakerphone.

Shortly after the pill took effect and the detective felt a little better, a little more calm. The two intelligence officers then headed to the military base to meet the captain.
