Will was dead.

It had all happened for fault of Jay.

The detective had heard Dr. Choi inform Dr. Charles.

He was the cause of what had killed him.

The idea that he was a danger came back into him.

- I can't be close to anyone. I can hurt, I can kill. I have to leave, I have to protect them from me. - he thought.

He took his jacket and got up slowly so as not to wake up the colleague.

The two doctors had moved, there was no longer anyone who could stop him.

Everyone was quiet as he was sleeping and Hailey was with him.

They could never have imagined that he would go away.

After about fifteen minutes, Dr. Charles returned to the room to check the situation.

To his surprise there was no sign of Halstead. Only her colleague who was sleeping soundly was present.

- Detective Upton? Detective wake up! - the doctor called her.

Hailey slowly opened her eyes.

- Where's Detective Halstead? - kept asking the psychiatrist.

- He was here until a second ago. - she replied confusedly.

They had just found out that Jay had left them.

Meanwhile Will had finally fallen asleep.

He was immersed in his thoughts when his eyes became heavy again, also thanks to the effect of the drugs. His body also demanded some rest.

He knew nothing of what had just happened. He was unaware that his little brother had run away, feeling guilty for his death, and that he was now somewhere alone.

Halstead had tried in every way to protect him, to help him.

He had sworn it as Jay had done for him. They were left alone. They had no one so they vowed to be there for each other and to protect each other at any cost.
