Dr. Charles decided to mobilize everyone to find Jay.
In the conditions in which he found himself, the detective did not have to be alone.
He was a risk subject. Everything that had happened could have led him to hypothesize that he was also making an extreme gesture.
And to say that the psychiatrist knew only aware of part of the story.
He did not know that his PTSD in that period, due to a particular case, had reactivated and above all he was not aware that the detective believed his brother dead.
These two things further aggravated the picture of the situation.
Hailey, on the other hand, felt broken, terribly guilty.
If only she hadn't collapsed, if she hadn't lost sight of him, they wouldn't have been in that situation.
The detective, however, did not allow herself to be corroded by guilt, on the contrary she decided that she would do everything and more to find her colleague.
She picked up the phone and tried to contact Voight. She had hidden too much from him. The man was aware that his detective was not 100% at the time. He knew Jay wasn't feeling very well and about his disorder, but he was oblivious to why.
Certainly Hailey would get a good wash from Voight too, after the one she got from Dr. Charles who asked him to check on his colleague. But one thing was certain, she deserved it.
It was night now. The sergeant who was usually always available, anytime, but just that night he didn't answer the phone.
Hailey was desperate, she needed the help of her colleagues, she couldn't wait. Team intervention was needed as soon as possible.
Upton then decided to contact Antonio, hoping that at least he would answer. It was one o'clock in the morning and for sure he too, like the others, were already sleeping.
Luck would have it, however, that he replied.
- Dawson -
- Antonio, I'm Hailey - the detective said agitatedly
- Hey, what's up? - He immediately asked hearing the tone of voice of the colleague.
- Jay has disappeared who knows where. We need to find him, I need the help of the team.- she explained
- How disappeared! Do you think someone kidnapped him? - he asked with concern.
- No, he went away on his own, but he wasn't emotionally stable.
- What do you mean? because? what happened to him? Did you warn Will? - asked the older detective.
It was obvious to him to ask questions, like Voight and the others, he too was unaware of anything.
- It's a long story, so many things have happened. Will can't help us. Actually, he doesn't even know Jay ran away. - she said and it is better for now that he does not know.
And at that point she began to tell more or less succinctly what had happened to the detective since the beginning of the case they were following.
Hailey also explained to her colleague that Jay's PTSD had reactivated. He also added that Will had been ill since the morning of the day before and that therefore he was hospitalized at the Med, even if he did not know the details of this.
- Damn, why did you keep it from us? asked Antonio. - I'm not saying you should have said it openly, but at least to me. Heck we've been friends for a long time me and Jay.
Hailey didn't know what to answer and started to cry. She was afraid that something would happen to him.
- Antonio, I don't know why Jay didn't want to talk about it, but I know I should have kept an eye on him and I fell asleep. It's my fault he went away. I knew he was in crisis tonight and I didn't keep an eye on him. - said the girl.
The detective's heart ached to hear his colleague like that.
- Don't worry, it's not your fault. You will see that we will find it. Did you warn Voight? - churches
- I tried but he didn't answer and so I called you.- Upton explained.
- Ok, leave it to me. I'll round up the boys and we'll start looking for him. We will divide into groups. How long has it been gone? - he asked, reassuring the girl.
- I do not know exactly. I think no more than half an hour. Dr. Charles then left the room where we were to return after about thirty minutes.- explained the girl and then the two conclusers
