Natalie had gone to Will to see how he felt.

The doctor slept soundly, thanks to the sedatives he had been given.

He needed to rest and he was finally doing it.

When the doctor arrived at him, she took a chair and sat down next to the bed.

While she was there she took the cell phone in his bag and put the silent so that if it rang it would not disturb Will and then after doing so she stood there watching his boyfriend reflecting on what had happened.

She was increasingly convinced that Will should have remained in the dark about what was happening to his brother, at least until he felt a little better.

The problem, however, was that she was not good at lying and when she did she ended up being easily discovered.

While the doctor was immersed in her thoughts, Doctor Rodhes entered the room wanting to check the condition of his friend.

- Hi Natalie - he greeted her making her jump

- Hi Connor, how are he? - replied asking for Will the doctor

- So, slowly he will recover, it takes patience and a lot of rest. He woke up, but I had to sedate him. He was too agitated and worried about Jay, he wanted to get up to see him go and see how he was doing. Rhodes said.

Upon hearing Jay's name, Natalie let out a great triate sigh as she looked down.

- What happens? - he asked, noticing the doctor's change in expression.

She told her colleague everything she had learned from Charles and the others.

- What a situation! - Connor exclaimed - I hope they find him soon ...

- Oh yeah. I didn't think I'd hit him that much, Unfortunately I got emotional. I love Jay, believe me, but at that moment I was afraid of losing Will ...- sadly explained the doctor

- I know, stay calm. You will see that everything will be fine. Everything will be resolved.- Rodhes replied confidently.

The two decided together to make sure that the doctor didn't know anything at least until Jay was taken back to the hospital.

He needed to recover before he could be of any use to anyone and he didn't have to fret.

- Natalie is not your fault. We are human and unfortunately we sometimes explode. We can't wear a mask all the time. Jay will be fine you'll see.- The doctor concluded by continuing to console her and then left after fixing Halstead's cure by touching some buttons on the machinery to which he was connected.

The doctor then left alone, arranged some things in the room and then sat down again next to her love taking his hand from under the sheet and holding it tightly in hers.

Looking at her watch, she realized It was still an hour away from the end of her shift, but she didn't feel like working. So he picked up her cell phone and text Maggie. She told her she would stay there with Will, asking her to call her in case of need.

Meanwhile, Jay, after leaving the hospital, wandered around the city that was dark and stormy that night.

The sky was covered with dark clouds that seemed to threaten rain, while an icy wind raged more and more.

It was very cold, but he didn't seem to feel it. His mind was completely blank, he was in shock.

He had just learned that he had killed his brother.

He was now adrift.

He was convinced that he had to be alone, away from everyone, only in this way would he avoid hurting them.

Two hours after leaving the hospital a heavy rain began to fall on the city.

The undeterred detective kept walking and was soon soaking wet.

But even that didn't seem to stop him.

Not even the water and the wind could scratch it at that moment.
