After about two hours Will began to move and wake up.

- Hey, hello love. Natalie said softly leaning over to give him a kiss.

- Hello - he answered giving her a kiss on the lips.

- How do you feel? - asked the doctor.

- I'm fine - replied the doctor even though an expression of pain that had appeared on his face betrayed him.

- Are you sure? - she asked again, unconvinced.

- Yes, don't worry, I'm much better - said the doctor, pausing for a moment to catch his breath.

- But? - she asked

- But what? Will asked back

- Do you feel better but? It's like you're not telling me something. Dr. Manning added.

How had she known this? Will was incredulous, she knew him so much that she could read even the smallest details that appeared on her face.

- I just have a little bit of a stomach ache and a headache, nothing much anyway.- he replied.

- What is this stomach pain like? Will you let me take a look? - Asked the doctor worried by the discomfort of her boyfriend.

For a moment the doctor did not answer, although Natalie called him several times.

- I need to ... I have to vomit ... - he said and immediately she worked to help him by raising the bed a little and taking the basin.

It didn't seem like a physical condition, but a psychological one. In fact, nothing came out other than dry retching and some bile and coagulated blood.

The doctor felt that it was necessary, however, given the previous pneumothorax and the blows received trying to vomit, to carry out further tests.

So Natalie called Dr. Rhodes and together they organized the various checks which fortunately did not detect anything abnormal.

Once back in the room Will and Natalie were once again alone.

By now the first light of dawn was timidly peeking out of the windows.

- Nat you have to do me a favor. - Halstead said

- If I can, with pleasure - answered the doctor smiling

- I need to see my brother. Please take me to him. - he pleaded.

- I don't know where he is. - she said looking away pretending to do something else - and then you have to rest and not go around.

- Please .. - continued the doctor

- No, I don't want to see you passed out on the ground like I did before. - she replied with extreme frankness.

- It won't happen again, don't worry. But it could be done differently, you could find Jay and have him come here. - Will said as he watched his girlfriend wander around the room.

The doctor seemed to be on edge and in Will's eyes this did not go unnoticed.

Without waiting for an answer Halstead said:

- Nat, are you okay? Something wrong? -

- No, all right. - she replied avoiding meeting her gaze.

- You got weird all of a sudden. - Will said

- But no, you are wrong. - Manning replied as her eyes filled with tears that she was trying not to let go.

She promised not to tell Will so he wouldn't worry. But it was so damn difficult.

The doctor stood there, her back to Will, her hands resting on the small table in the room on which she had placed a vase with flowers. Her shoulders were low and her head bowed.

- Natalie tell me what's going on! -Will said in a slightly higher tone of voice as he began to fidget

- Nothing happens - she answered but without turning around.

- Natalie, you're not good at lying. Tell me - continued Will more and more angry.

- It's all OK- she replied with tears that now flowed copiously from her eyes.

- Speak out! - Halstead said almost shouting. He understood that something serious had happened.

At that moment Natalie could no longer keep everything inside, she turned around and crying bitterly she said:

- I'm sorry Will. Excuse me.-
