The next few days passed without any major disasters. Street really tried hard to show Chris that he was a good friend and didn't want to constantly push her into a corner with his feelings. Chris's anger slowly diminished and she was finally able to enjoy her time together with Street more.

It was still a week until the wedding and tonight Chris and Street had to plan Bonnie and Tan's bachelor party. They had gotten together on purpose since neither had ever done anything like this before. They were sitting at Street and Luca's house, though said one wasn't there, he had a date with Tuana.

"So Chris, what should I do with Tan? I would love bubble soccer. What do you think?" Street looked at her questioningly.
"Oh that sounds cool. I'd love to be there too." Chris laughed lightheartedly. Street loved that laugh, it came straight from her heart.
"I've already asked the guys in advance and Jacob thinks it's a good idea too." he was happy as a little boy and beamed. Chris got that strange fluttering in her stomach again, which she couldn't use right now. She tried to ignore it.
"Ok, uhm, then you book it for next week Saturday Street?" he nodded and already reached for his cell phone. After everything was successfully done, it was now Bonnie's night.

"So what have you come up with for Bonnie and you guys?" asked Street curiously.
"I want to take the girls to a cocktail class." Chris waited for Street's response. He frowned.
"That sounds boring."
"Ha! I knew you'd say that." she grinned and continued. "Of course, we're not just learning to mix cocktails, by the way, from a thoroughly attractive man." Street suddenly brightened and literally hung on Chris' lips. "We'll also be drinking these, listening to cool music, dancing, and who knows what else. Bonnie will love it, I think." Chris was looking forward to it herself.
"Okay, okay, that sounds like fun." he said a little contritely. He hadn't liked hearing about the attractive man. "Tell me Chris, don't you think it's a bad idea with that man? What if Bonnie does something stupid when she's drunk? Do you want to take a chance on that? Wouldn't a good compromise be to have a woman teach you how to make cocktails?" Chris smirked, and at Street's look, she couldn't help but snort with laughter.
"Are you serious Street? You know Bonnie and besides, there's the rest of us. Now just relax." Chris had to shake her head, still laughing.
"Yeah yeah, you laugh... But don't come to me later and ask me for help if something goes wrong." he teased her.

After Chris went home, Street sat down on the sofa and picked up his cell phone. Hesitantly he opened his WhatsApp and typed a certain name into the search field. Should he rather call? But what should he say? Even just as a greeting? What if he totally stuttered with nervousness? No, it was much too late to call, he would write now. He started with a serious face and after a few words he deleted it again. Okay, new try, new luck. "My God, now don't be such a baby," he said to himself. So he started typing again.

Hi Molly, I'm sure you're wondering now why I of all people am contacting you... I hope you are doing well in Pittsburgh and that you are successful with your work. I behaved like a complete idiot, then and now, and I would like to talk to you, to explain what was going on. I want us to be able to deal with each other normally again, even though I don't really deserve it... Please contact me when you know when you will be back. I would be happy to. Good night, Jim

He had just changed his clothes and got into bed when his cell phone vibrated. Actually he didn't want to get up again, but maybe it was important and after all he was still waiting for an answer from Molly. Again a bit nervous he looked and indeed the message was from her.

Hi Jim, I was honestly surprised to hear from you. I'm fine thanks, I'm done here sooner than I thought. I would like to meet with you to talk. I think there are some things we should talk about. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. How about tomorrow night? Dinner at Joe's? Sleep well, Molly

Street had answered her immediately and so they had a date for tomorrow evening. Now he finally tried to sleep, but he didn't really want to succeed. Where was Luca? It was already late and he was out with Tuana, Street knew that.

Luca was just outside his front door and thought again about the wonderful evening.

Tuana is simply a great woman. I didn't think it could get me like this, since I actually live for SWAT. My goodness, the way she looked at me tonight, those eyes. I could really see a future with her.

When he went inside the house was dark and silent, Street seemed to be asleep already. Luca went into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water, that did well to clear his head a bit. He stood with his back to the living room, still staring at the refrigerator door.
"Naaa how was your evening with Tuana?" whispered Street into his ear, leaning over Luca's shoulder.
"Oh my God!" Luca jumped a little to the side, turning around and throwing the water in Street's face. "Street you're not right in the head man! Scaring me old man like that!" Luca reprimanded him, but at the same moment he had to laugh out loud. "Thanks for the water my friend, but actually I had already taken a shower." Street wiped the water from his cheeks while laughing.
"It's your own fault for sneaking up behind me like that buddy." retorted Luca.

"Now tell me, how was it with Tuana?" asked Street again. Luca grinned and looked at him.
"Very nice, thanks for asking." he walked towards the sofa.
"You're serious? Do I have to pull everything out of your nose?" Street ran after him curiously. As they sat together on the sofa Luca began to gush.
"The evening was perfect, Tuana is just perfect." he shrugged. "The way she smiled at me and her manner, just wow. We had such a good time and we have some things in common, that's so nice Street. With her I feel like she understands me completely, even my love for S.W.A.T., you know?" Luca looked at Street, still smiling. Street nodded and beamed all over his face.
"That sounds great Luca and what's next for you guys?" his curiosity was unchecked.
"I don't know. We want to see each other again tomorrow night." now Luca was beaming too.
"Aaaaaaahhh I knew it. The way you gush about her."
"You're talking in riddles Street again..." Luca laughed.
"I'll just say this," and already he started singing, "Luca loves Tuana. Luca loves Tuana." Luca pushed him back into the sofa cushions.
"Oh come on Street..." he had to laugh out loud and blushed. "I knew it was a mistake to tell you so much." Played he rolled his eyes.

The next day had come and it was already Tuesday. Only a few more days and the wedding would take place. 20 - David was off from Thursday, Hicks was very gracious and had put together a replacement team. The bachelor party was planned and could take place right on Thursday night. Friday Bonnie and Tan wanted to get some more rest before Saturday was the big day.

Street stood in the kitchen at HQ, looking at the tabletop for what felt like 5 minutes, lost in his thoughts. Tonight was the night, his conversation with Molly was coming up. Why he was so nervous? He couldn't explain it himself, but his guilty conscience certainly played a big part.
"Hey Street." came cheerfully from Chris as she opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. He didn't respond and continued to stare at the table.
"Earth to Street. Hello?" Chris stepped closer to him and put a hand on his back.
"Son of a..." Street took a leap to the side and held his heart with his hand. Chris was equally startled by his violent reaction. She backed up a bit and they both looked at each other, equally startled.
"Are you okay?" she asked cautiously.
"Sorry Chris, I was totally lost in thought and didn't register you at all. I'm, um, I'm meeting Molly tonight." he said cautiously to wait for Chris' reaction. She was silent for the first few seconds. He really had balls, was her first thought.
"That's good, isn't it? I think it's nice of you to get up to it and you will, it will be good for both of you." she smiled gently at Street.
"I'm scared." he said flatly, now looking at Chris for help. What was she supposed to do? Come along and hold hands? Surely not... Chris came closer, sought his eye contact and took him in his arms. He smiled at her shoulder and hugged her tightly.

It's going to be all right, isn't it? With that thought, Street set to work.
