GH4 20: Back To Montana-(2024).
Olive and i appeared in a bedroom and landed on a bed, with the 90s cellphone in my hand.
"What in the world? Where are we now?" I asked. I looked at my clothes and saw that i was wearing my violet red short sleeve shirt, pale pink pants, and white sneakers. "Wait. Could it be?" I said as i looked at our surroundings. I also saw that it was still dark outside through my window and that it had stopped storming. I placed the phone on the bed and got up, with Olive getting off the bed too, and went over to my calendar that was stuck to the wall by a tack and saw that it read 'SEPTEMBER-2024'. "We're back. Oh, my gosh, we're back!" I said before turning to Olive. "We're back, Olive! Oh, we're back!" I said excitedly before running over to Olive, picking her up by her paws with my hands, standing her up on her hind-legs, and began dancing around in circles with her. "We're back! We're back! We're back! We're back!" I repeated while dancing with Olive.
I kept saying it over and over again because i couldn't believe it.
We were back.
We were really back.
Back in the 21st century.
Back in the 2020s.
Back in 2024 Montana.
Back home.
Our home.
We were home...where we belonged.
"What's goin' on in here?" Mom asked as she and Dad entered inside my room, with her opening the door. Her name was Nina Web, and she had blue eyes and blond shoulder-length hair.
"Yeah, what's with all the commotion?" Dad added. His name was Valentin Web, and he had black hair and brown eyes.
I stopped dancing with Olive and turned to see my parents. "Mom! Dad!" I shouted excitedly before i let go of Olive's paws, allowing her to get back down on all fours, and i ran up to my parents and embraced them with a hug.
"Whoa. Hug alert." Mom said.
"Oh, i'm so glad to see you guys." I said to my parents while hugging them.
"We're glad to see you too, dear." Mom said.
"Oh, i've missed you both so much since i've been gone." I said.
"Gone? Gone where? Honey, what are you talking about? Where did you go?" Mom asked.
I ended the hug. "Nowhere. I just missed you."
"Well, i'm ashamed to admit that we missed you too, since we haven't seen or heard a peep out of you in over two hours." Dad said.
"Two hours?" I asked. Was that really all it had been since Olive and i were sent back to the 90s? It sure didn't feel like it. It felt like i had been gone for 30 years. 30 Backwards years, to be exact. "Tell me...what month and year is it?" I already knew the answer, but i had to hear it voiced into existence.
"You know what month and year it is, it's September 26th, 2024. Why do you ask?" Mom said.
"No reason. Like i said...i just missed both of you." I said. As much as i wanted to tell them about mine and Olive's time-travel by cellphone adventure, i knew they wouldn't believe me. Either that or they would dismiss it as just a dream. Hey, part of me still didn't believe it either.
"Aww. And we missed you too." Mom said. "Anyway, dinner'll be ready in just a few short minutes. I'll call you when it's done. We're having tacos tonight."
"Okay. Thanks." I said.
My parents left out of my room, with Dad closing the door behind them.
I then rushed over to my desk, with Olive following, sat down in my rolling-chair, and opened my laptop, followed by turning it on. I clicked on the Internet icon, logging into the internet, followed by typing in "YouTube" and hitting Enter. The title YouTube appeared on screen and i clicked on it, with the YouTube site appearing on screen afterwards. I typed in "Bobby Norman and Brendyn Bones". I had to find out if what Olive and i had experienced was true or just a dream.
Olive jumped into my lap before i hit Enter, then several videos concerning the mystery of Bobby and Brendyn's disappearance appeared on screen. That was when i knew right then and there that what Olive and i had experienced was real and not something i had dreamed up.
I clicked on the first video titled "Bodies Of Missing Kids Found In Marsh On Halloween night-(1994)" and the video appeared on screen.
BODIES OF MISSING KIDS FOUND IN MARSH ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT-(1994)
The video began to play, opening up to the Montana News channel, with an anchorman and an anchorwoman sitting behind their shared desk.
"It is an ending to a mystery nobody wanted to happen. Good evening, thanks for watching the Montana News channel. I'm Carl Drake." Said the anchorman.
"I'm Kelly Lucas. Tonight authorities have finally solved the disappearances of two young boys." Said the anchorwoman.
"The boys went missing on Halloween night-1993, and hadn't been seen or heard from since. This Halloween night, authorities located the boys' bodies, as well as arrested their killers." Carl said.
The scene changed to a banner that read BOYS' BODIES FOUND.
"News reporter, Carly Diamond, is currently at the scene and she joins us now with the report." Said the voice of Carl.
The scene changed to the female News reporter on the farm-house property, holding her wireless microphone. The exact same reporter Olive and i had seen when we were there in '94.
"Tonight the police-force is grieving the loss of 11-year old Bobby Norman and 12-year old Brendyn Bones. Authorities have been searching for the boys since last Halloween to locate them, and the outcome's not what they had hoped for." Carly said as four male paramedics came from around the farm-house, with two of them carrying the two body-bags containing Bobby and Brendyn. "Earlier tonight, authorities responded to a 911 call made by a mysterious caller reporting that two young boys, 10-year old Justin and 11-year old Max, had been kidnapped by four guys dressed in pumpkin-head costumes and had brought them out here in the countryside of Montana and carried them into the marsh behind the farm-house to dispose of them, where they confessed to killing Bobby and Brendyn. After pushing the boys into a marsh-pit, the four suspects attempted to flee the scene, only to be arrested by police when they ran out from around the house. As for the other two boys, they are fine."
The scene changed to Justin.
"All kinds of kids get involved with the wrong crowds quite often. And you try to tell them not to hang out with those types of people and they hang out with them anyway. Many kids are in the ground today because they hung out with the wrong crowd. It's very dangerous." Justin said.
The scene changed back to Carly.
"Max says shortly after the suspects fled the marsh, he and Justin attempted to get out of the marsh-pit. He said in doing so, the bodies of Brendyn Bones and Bobby Norman popped up out of the pit. They managed to pull themselves out and a male officer named John Smith arrived at the scene and led them out of the marsh. The Montana police were later joined by two ambulances officer Smith had radioed in, with four male paramedics to fish the boys' bodies out of the marsh-pit. It didn't take long for them to get the kids out and place them in body-bags. The paramedics put the bodies in the back of the ambulances and took them to the hospital where they released them into the custody of the morgue. Surprisingly, their bodies were not reduced to skeletons when they were found." Carly said.
The scene changed to officer Smith.
"Here we have two kids that were...you know, hadn't even had the chance to start teen-life, really. And now, you know, it's been ended short like this by four guys who stole their futures from them for nothing." Officer Smith said.
The scene changed back to Carly.
"11-Year old Max is shocked by the loss of two boys who were the same age as him and Justin." Carly said.
The scene changed to Max.
"Oh, it's hard. I-i can't believe it. I...i just can't believe it. But...you know, i'm having a hard time making sense of all of this. I mean, two boys get murdered and disappear on Halloween night for a year? I can't understand that, i...i just can't." Max said.
The scene changed back to Carly.
"10-Year old Justin knows the pain of losing someone all too well. And hopes the families of Bobby and Brendyn will finally be able to fine peace and move on now that the bodies of their sons have been found." Carly said.
The scene changed to Justin.
"My heart goes out to their families. It really does. 'Cause i know how it feels to lose someone. 'Cause i had a Mom who died of cancer two years ago. So i know how it feels. It's not the same as losing someone you love to murder, but...i know how it feels. You just have to accept it and move on." Justin said.
The scene changed back to Carly.
"Officer John Smith thanks the entire force that worked diligently to find these boys, and tonight he is stressing the importance of children's safety when it comes to them getting mixed up with the wrong crowds. He's urging parents to keep their kids from getting involved with the wrong people. Tonight, the boys' bodies are undergoing autopsies to determine the exact causes of death. Reporting out in the countryside of the community, Carly Diamond, Montana News channel." Carly said.
The scene changed back to Carl and Kelly.
"A sad story with a sad ending. Thanks, Carly." Carl said.
The video ended.

I logged out of the Internet, turned off my laptop, then closed it.
"Well, there it is, girl. Our proof." I said to Olive. "And to think this whole situation happened to us because of an old cellphone i had taken for a history project." I added. "My home work assignment." I realized before Olive jumped out of my lap. I got out of my rolling-chair and ran over to my night-stand by my bed, with Olive following, and got my cellphone and called my friend, 11-Year old Sophie Tristen, followed by sitting down on my bed, waiting for her to pick up.
"Hello?" Sophie answered.
"Hello, Sophie? It's Charlotte. Listen, i have an idea for the report on the 90s decade. It involves you, me...and the rest of the kids in history class."
