GH4 23: Children Of The BOG (PART 8)
"The end." Charlotte said, concluding her story.
The rest of the Children Of The Bog, Dylan, the Sanderson sisters, the pirates and i clapped our hands, applauding Charlotte on her scary story.
The Sanderson sisters and the pirates stood up.
"Bravo! Bravo!" Wini said, clapping her hands. "Now that was a scary story."
"Yes, truly frightening. Especially with the ghost children running amuck." Mary added.
"Amuck!" Sarah said. "Amuck, amuck, amuck, amuck, a-" She repeated as she jumped up and down until Wini rammed her in the stomach with her fists, making her stop.
"That was a cool story." I said.
"Thanks, Tommy." Charlotte said.
"So let me get this straight. You and Olive were sent back in time to the 90s...to solve the disappearances of two boys that went missing on Halloween night, 1993...and to save the lives of two other boys in the process? Two boys who had likely been dead and missing 30 years before you were sent back to 1994?" Cameron said.
"That's right." Charlotte said.
"And you were sent back there by phone?" Aiden asked.
"Pretty much, yeah." Charlotte said.
"That's awesome." Keegan said. "Do you know what this means? You and Olive have messed with the space-time continuum. You've re-written history. Changed the past."
"Well, i don't buy it. That's the craziest story i've ever heard. Everyone knows there's no such thing as time-travel. The closest thing you're ever gonna get to a time machine is YouTube." Cameron said.
"Well, you don't have to believe it if you don't want to...but i know it's true. And so does Olive." Charlotte said.
"I believe you." Dylan said.
"Thank you." Charlotte said.
"Great ghost story, lass. Great ghost story indeed." Said Hook.
"Oh, look at the moon. It's time to go. I declare this meeting of the Children Of The Bog closed." Wini said before she, Sarah and Mary turned into green, purple and red lights and flew off into the night-sky.
"Sooooo what now?" I asked Hook.
"Now...this." Hook said before putting his thumb and index finger in his mouth and giving a loud whistle.
Just then, five long, large dripping wet black tentacles came up out of the black water and up to the ship, with the under-parts of them being purple.
"What in the-" I was cut off when the five tentacles grabbed me and the rest if the Children Of The Bog, minus Dylan, wrapping themselves around us. "What's happening?!" The tentacles lifted us up into the air. "Wha-what is this?! What's goin' on?!"
"Oh, nothing. Just a trip under the sea. Or in this case, under the lake. Have a nice...dip." Hook said. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"AAHH!" Cameron screamed as he was pulled off the ship.
"AAHH!" Aiden screamed, being pulled off the ship after after Cameron.
"AAHH!" Charlotte screamed while she was pulled off the ship after Aiden.
"AAHH!" Keegan screamed, with him being pulled off the ship after Charlotte.
"AAAAAHH!" I screamed as i was pulled off the ship and down into the black water below by the black tentacles, disappearing beneath the surface.

Your wretched little lives
Have all been cursed
'Cause of all the witches working
I'm the worst
I put a spell on you
And now you're mine

If you don't believe, you better get superstitious
Just ask my sisters
"Ooh, she's vicious!"

Okay, everyone, that's a wrap of this episode of "GOOSEPUPS HALLOWEEN" by your's truly. Only one episode remains after this fourth addition, folks. So the next part of this Halloween mini-series will be the conclusion. And man, let me tell ya...this has been an incredible journey from 2020 to 2021. Even from me writing it, i could just feel it.
I really hope that i did an awesome job on this episode, especially with the 90s chapters. The reason why i did this episode is because...Well, let's be honest...the 90s era was the best time to be a kid and was a great period to grow up in. I know. I'm a 90s kid myself, as well as a 2000s one. I was born in 1993. You probably noticed how i included that year in this episode, so it's no coincidence that 93 was in it. During this time, movies and TV were real awesome because pretty much everything was cool back then. It really had that 90s-vibe, and that's the nostalgia i was going for in this episode. That's the kind of feeling i was trying to capture. Not many people can pull that off in books, much less in movies and TV-shows. I hope i was successful in that department. I hope i captured every feeling and aspect of the 90s from clothing to movies to TV-shows to fashions and merchandise.
I just find it all interesting how we lived back then verses how we live today. If you go back and look as some old 90s films, TV-shows and commercials, you'll see the difference. And i think we should keep the memories of that time alive in some form.
Not many people are doing that today, especially those in the TV industry. Some are, but not all. But some are better than none at all. I mean, there have been several period piece films/TV-shows put out over the years. Like "SUPER 8", set in 1979..."STANGER THINGS", set in the 80s..."SUMMER OF 84", also set in the 80s...and "MID-90s", which is set in the...well, 90s. And i love how people in the movies/TV-show industry explore those times. It shows that we as people have not forgotten where we come from. And let me tell you...we have come quite a long way since the 90s. Since the 2000s even. People today are so quick to forget the past and focus on this present time we're in right now. Not realizing how important history is. For if it were not for the 70s, 80s or 90s, we wouldn't be where we are today. There never would've been the 2000s, the 2010s or the 2020s. We would still be in the 1960s.
History does matter. And we have to keep the memories of the 90s alive. If not for ourselves, then for this century's children. Because they deserve to know where they come from.
Let me know what you thought of this episode in your reviews...and i'll be back very soon with the final installment.
NEXT TIME...THE BOG-MAN.
