Anyway, I'm definitely excited to be back on here and posting again! :)

They were at the school within minutes. Kurt jumped out before the car even stopped, running as fast as he could. He flung open the door to the main entrance. He immediately spotted the bathroom Mercedes was referring to- there was a large group of students and faculty urgently knocking on the door, each taking a turn. Kurt rushed over, squeezing his way through the crowd.
Ms. Pillsbury was urgently trying to pry open the door, tears in her eyes. "Kurt! What are you doing here? You should be at school."
"Can I have a turn?"
"He's not responding, I doubt he'll pay any attention."
"I need to try. Please." Kurt begged.
Emma stepped back, breathing slowly. "Okay, but hurry!"
"Dave! Can you please open the door? It's Kurt, I want to talk to you! Please, just open up! I understand you're hurting, but you can't do this!" Kurt was practically screaming at this point. "Just unlock the door!"
The crowd became silent, all focused on the doorknob.
"Please..."
Just as he was about to give up there was an audible click as the door unlocked. Gasps of surprise came from the group.
Kurt turned to the guidance counselor. She gave a small nod, and he quickly opened the door just wide enough so he could squeeze through.
Once inside he closed it, rushing to the football player. "Dave, can you hear me? Are you hurt?!"
Karofsky shook his head slowly, still quivering in the corner.
That's when Kurt noticed the small pill bottle laying on the floor. He immediately picked it up, and when he realized the seal was still on he let out a sigh of relief.
"Why are you here?" Dave croaked.
Kurt turned around to face the boy again. "Because I couldn't let you do this. I would've done the same for anyone else."
"But I was awful to you." Dave sniffled, wiping his nose on his sleeve.
Kurt grabbed a paper towel from the dispenser on the wall, handing it over before sitting next to him on the cold tile floor. "I know you were. But I understand that you're going through a lot right now. You made a mistake. We all do at some time or another."
"I just feel like..." Karofsky turned his attention to the paper towel in his hand, crumpling and uncrumpling it as he spoke. "I can't live like this. I could never do what you did- walk confidently around school with everyone knowing you were..."
"Gay." Kurt finished. "I understand that. It is hard at first. It's still hard for me sometimes, but it's important to remember that there are so many people in your life that will love and cherish you no matter what."
"I haven't told my parents yet. I haven't told anyone."
Kurt nodded. "And that's okay. You don't need to come out for people to support you. But if it makes you feel better, I'm here for you."
Dave looked up, eyes puffy and red. "Even after everything I did to you?"
"I forgive you." And as Kurt sat there hugging the boy he'd been bullied by for months, he knew deep down that it was the truth- he had forgiven him. "I'm not going to tell anyone what you told me today, but I think it would be a good idea for you to start seeing a counselor."
"Ok." Dave offered a sad smile. "Thank you."
"You're welcome. Do you have your phone with you? I could put my number in so that way you can just text me if you need advice about anything."
Dave nodded and watched as Kurt typed in his number before handing back the phone. "I guess I should go back out there."
"I'll walk with you. After all, we're in this together." Kurt helped Karofsky up, and they exited the bathroom together. Everyone was staring and whispering, but it didn't matter. Kurt had just saved someone's life, and now all of his issues seemed so much smaller then before.
"Your principal called." Burt stood in the entryway of the kitchen, watching as Kurt did the dishes.
"Dad, I'm sorry, something came up earlier that I needed to take care of. I didn't finish all my work but I promise I'll make it up-"
"No." Burt cut him off. "I'm not talking about Dalton. I'm talking about McKinley. Principal Figgens told me what you did today for that boy."
Kurt draped the wet cloth over the edge of the sink. "I know I shouldn't have left home like that, I just really wanted to be there for him."
Burt slowly approached his son. Kurt held his breath. He knew he'd be punished for not telling anyone his whereabouts.
But instead of mentioning this Burt engulfed him in a hug. "I'm not mad at you, Kurt. In fact, I'm proud of you. I can't imagine how hard it must've been for you to face him after what happened, but you did and thanks to you he's still alive."
Kurt hesitated for a moment. "Thanks. Can I ask you something?"
"You know you can ask me anything." Burt said smiling. "Well, within reason. What is it?"
Kurt took a deep breath. What he was about to propose could either make or break his future. "I was wondering if... maybe I could transfer back to McKinley. Now that Dave and I are on good terms again there's nothing holding me back."
Burt paused, deep in thought. Finally he spoke. "Are you sure? I don't want you to go through the same issues there again. Don't you want to give it some time?"
"No, I want to do it. I think today was the eye opener for me. I've been considering it all afternoon, and this is what I want." Kurt peered up at his father. "So can I? Please? Finn will be there too, just in case."
"You're growing up so fast, you know that? It feels like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms, and now you're making these grown up decisions." He smiled, a tear in the corner of his eye.
"So is that a yes?" Kurt prodded.
Burt chuckled. "Yes. If you want to go back to McKinley you can."
Kurt flung his arms around his father. "Thank you." He stepped back, grabbing his phone from the table.
"Well, that didn't last long." Burt joked.
"Sorry dad, I'm texting Blaine."
"So you two made up?"
"No, but I think he at least deserves to know that I'm leaving the school."
"Fair enough." Burt took a soda from the fridge. "I'll be on the back porch if you need anything. Oh, and-"
Kurt rolled his eyes. "Dad, I know. Keep the door open."
"Exactly."
Kurt sat on the couch, anxiety gripping at his insides. He told himself to calm down. He'd already done way crazier things today then talking to his maybe ex boyfriend- he could do this. As soon as the knock sounded he jumped up, practically falling over the coffee table. He turned the doorknob before flinging it open.
"Hi." Blaine said, awkwardly shifting his weight from foot to foot.
"Hi. Come in."
Blaine sat on the couch and Kurt sat opposite of him. The silence between them stretched on and on. Blaine cleared his throat. "I heard about what happened with Dave. Are you okay?"
"Yes, luckily he hadn't taken the pills before I got there."
"That's good. And that was cool, what you did for him."
"I know." Kurt wanted to tell Blaine all the details of what happened, but he'd made a promise. He decided it was time to give the news. He began to speak just as Blaine did, and they both stumbled over their words.
"Sorry, you go first."
"No, you."
"Okay." Blaine swallowed, and Kurt could see his Adam's Apple move. "I wanted to apologize for how I acted the other night. Now that I'm thinking back on it I can see why that text might have given you the wrong idea. I don't want to fight anymore- I miss you."
Kurt felt his heart flutter. He knew it was his turn to speak, but his voice wasn't working. He waited a couple of seconds until his pulse went down before answering. "Blaine, I shouldn't have made such a crazy assumption. I knew deep down that wasn't why you invited me over, but Finn put the idea in my head and I couldn't get it out. I'm sorry for barging into your house like that."
Blaine smiled a little. "So... we're good then?"
"We're good."
Blaine let out a breath. "Okay thank god. I missed you like crazy."
"I missed you too." Kurt smiled. "But before you forgive me, I have something I need to talk to you about and I'm not sure how you're going to react."
Blaine raised a triangular eyebrow. "What, did you cheat on me or something? Because I'll be super jealous if someone else got to kiss you when I was MIA."
"No, of course not." Kurt moved so he was sitting next to Blaine. "When I was in the bathroom with Dave he apologized. I wasn't expecting it, and it felt really good to hear."
"That's good. A little overdue but good. Is that what you wanted to tell me?"
"No. The truth is... after I got back home I began to think, and I've decided... I've decided I want to switch back to McKinley." He paused, waiting for Blaine to get up and storm out or to try and talk him out of it.
But instead of doing these things Blaine took him by the hand. "Wow, that's big news. I'm really happy for you."
"You... you're not upset?" Kurt asked.
"Of course not. I'll miss you, but if this is what feels right to you then it's what you should do. My job is to support you no matter what."
Kurt blushed. "Thanks for coming over on such short notice. I didn't think you were going to."
"I would've probably come over regardless. You can't get rid of me over a meaningless fight." He paused. "All jokes aside though, I did want to let you know that I'll never force you into doing anything you don't want to. I want to wait to do those things until you're one hundred percent ready."
Kurt smiled. "Even if it's years from now?"
"Well, that might be a deal breaker." Blaine grinned mischievously.
"Well then, we'd better start practicing." Kurt kissed him, and soon they were making out. He'd missed Blaine more than he cared to admit- he'd forgotten that his kissing skills were impeccable- and now that they were holding each other he felt content for the first time since their fight. He didn't hold back anything, he let it all fly free as they kissed. He didn't even break away to remind Blaine that he couldn't get a hickey under any circumstances or else his dad would freak. At this point all he cared about was staying wrapped in each other's arms. Besides, it was too late for that- a mark was already appearing on his neck.
They stayed that way for a while, kissing until their lips went numb. When it was time for Blaine to go, Kurt wanted to protest. "Are you sure your dad couldn't clean the garage on his own?"
"Unfortunately he can't, his back will give out." He nodded at Kurt's neck, a guilty look on his face. "Sorry about that, I must've gotten carried away."
"I'll just use some of Carole's concealer to cover it up, no big deal." He gave a half smile. "Well, I guess you should go." Kurt didn't even try to hide the whine in his voice.
"I guess I should... bye Kurt, talk to you tomorrow!"
"See you later." Kurt closed the door behind him, waiting until he heard Blaine's car leave the driveway. The second he did, he gave an excited squeal. He'd just had his first hot and heavy make out session in almost a week, and it felt amazing to be back together.
"I guess you two made up." Burt smiled. "I'm glad things went well." He stared at his son, giving him a once over. "I'm going to pretend like I don't see that hickey."
"That's because you don't, it must just be your eyes." Kurt pulled at the hem of his shirt, trying to cover the purple spot but failing miserably.
Burt shook his head. "You're crazy, you know that?"
"I've been told before." Kurt joked. "Goodnight dad."
"Goodnight."
"Thanks for all the gifts." Kurt said, smiling at Carole and his father. It was their first Christmas as a family, and it felt great to be spending time together on this special day. Everything was perfect so far, but something was missing. Well, some one was a more accurate statement.
Burt chuckled. "You're welcome. Now why don't you go see Blaine- I can tell you want to."
Kurt blushed. "I don't have to... Christmas is all about family, and I don't want to seem like a jerk by leaving."
"You won't hurt our feelings, Kurt. You're right, Christmas is about family, but it's also about spending time with the people you love." Carole smiled at her husband, taking his hand.
Finn rolled his eyes, hurling a ball of wrapping paper at his mom. He was still out of sorts from the breakup, but he seemed to be doing better. "Mom, that was kind of a really cheesy way to put it. But she's right, Kurt. If Rachel and I were still together I'd be hanging out with her right now."
Kurt nodded slowly. "Okay, I guess it couldn't hurt to just see him for a couple of minutes. I'll be back in an hour!" He practically jumped up, carelessly throwing on his shoes and a coat.
"Okay, we'll be waiting!" Burt called after his son. "I still can't believe he has a boyfriend now. It's crazy how fast they grow."
"I know! Can you believe they'll be graduating soon?" Carole exclaimed.
"I'm still here you know." Finn joked. "Shouldn't the coffee be ready by now?"
"Knock knock." Kurt stood in the doorway of Blaine's bedroom, cheeks rosy from the cold. "Merry Christmas."
Blaine crossed over to his boyfriend, planting a kiss on his lips. "It just got a whole lot merrier, that's for sure."
"Is it just me or is it hot in here?" Kurt smirked, removing his coat and draping it over the doorknob. "Sorry for dropping by without any notice, I just really wanted to see you."
"You're actually right on time. I just finished wrapping your gift." Blaine nodded towards his desk where a medium sized box sat. Even from where he stood Kurt could tell how precise Blaine had been with the wrapping- he could barely see where the ends of the paper met.
"You didn't have to get me anything." Kurt insisted. "I would've been perfectly content to just hang out with you."
Blaine shrugged. "It's Christmas. Besides, it's not anything huge. I just wanted to show my appreciation for you."
"I didn't get you anything... I wanted to, but nothing seemed right. I'm sorry."
"Don't be." Blaine smiled, handing the gift to his boyfriend. "Being with you is the only gift I need."
Kurt rolled his eyes. "That was incredibly cringy."
Blaine laughed. "You loved it though."
"You know, if you keep wooing me I'll be too busy kissing you to open this."
"That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world." Blaine grinned. "In all seriousness though you should open it."
"Okay, okay." Kurt gently teared open the box. Inside was a small blue book. He opened it to find pictures of Blaine and him from throughout the last couple of months. Each one brought back a flood of memories, and he couldn't stop looking at them. He flipped through the whole thing, pausing to observe a picture on the last page. It was taken on the day of Pavarotti's funeral. He lay motionless in his coffin, wings pressed against his sides. Kurt smiled sadly. It meant so much to him that Blaine would include his canary in this memory book.
"Do you like it? I tried to find pictures that summed up our time together."
Kurt blinked back tears. "Blaine, it's... it's perfect. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Like I said, it's not much. I just wanted to do something for you."
"It's the best gift I've ever received." Kurt smiled up at his boyfriend. "I feel bad, I wanted to get you something but-"
"Shh." Blaine put a finger to Kurt's lips. "You're all I want." He kissed Kurt passionately, and soon the book lay abandoned on the end of the bed as they made out.
Kurt liked the familiar feeling of kissing Blaine. It was like a brand new world of possibilities and he loved every moment of it. He wished he could stay longer, but an hour had certainly already passed by this point and he knew he should get home. "I need to go."
Blaine paused before sitting up. "Oh! Yeah, of course. Want me to walk you out?"
"Sure." Kurt stood, suddenly awkward. He followed Blaine to the front door, pausing to give him one last kiss. "Thanks again for the book. I love it."
"Well, thank you for the kissing. That was..."
"I know." Kurt said quietly. "Sorry, I don't know why I said it like that. I enjoyed it, I really did, it's just-"
"You're blushing." Blaine teased. "Okay but for real, what's up?"
"Do you feel like we're taking things too slow? We've been together for a while and we still haven't done anything more but kiss."
"So that's what this is about. Kurt, I've told you before. I'm perfectly content with where we are in our relationship. We don't need to have sex to be happy together you know."
Kurt nodded. "I know. I'm just... I'm worried that if we don't you're going to lose interest in me. I know it's stupid but I think about it. A lot."He bit his lip, suddenly embarrassed. What had come over him? Why was he telling Blaine about this?
"I get it. You need to know that... I'm here for the long run. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." Blaine held his hand, eyes caring. "I like you, Kurt. That's not going to change, whether we have sex or not."
Kurt gave a small smile. "I know. I like you too. Thank you for... understanding. I'm sorry if I made things weird just now, but I'm new at all of this."
"I know you are. To be honest, it's pretty new to me too. I've never been with a guy as fashionable as you."
"Oh, stop. I'm flattered." Kurt rolled his eyes.
"You know you love it when I tease you."
"That's only because you look really cute when you do it. For real though, I need to get going."
"Merry Christmas Kurt."
"Merry Christmas."
So, yeah! They obviously made up, no way would Blaine break up with him over a tiny argument- he loves him too much! XD
Also, I knew I needed to mention Pavarotti... I was SO SAD when he died :(
Anyway, stay tuned for the next chapter! And feel free to leave a review if you want, they make my day!
Love y'all!
