Today is the big day, finally she would propose to the man she loved.

Something that was still quite unusual for a women to do, but she didn't mind, times were changing anyway.

While walking through the streets of Seoul she thought of how quite unbelievable it was that three years ago things eventually made such a drastic turn.

For years she had tought she was destined to be with Jo Jae, that there was no one else she could love than him. But her crush that turned into obsession was never returned by him. All these years she didn't dare to confess her feelings and was eventually rejected by him when she did.

At first she tought her whole world collapsed, but there was another man that she had grown to like, although she had kept denying these feelings. A sudden turn of events had brought them closer, she remembered how shocked she was when that quiet boy confessed his feelings for her out of nowhere.

She had known him for years as he was best friends with Jo Jae and lived at his house, but they hadn't been very close as he always stayed very distant. She was also always so focused on Jo Jae that she didn't try to get closer to him. At the time she was still so obsessed with Jo Jae so she obviously rejected his feelings. But she wouldn't say she didn't like it, in time of course she would have said that it was because she thought it was cute, and was very handsome of course as well.

From that moment on they had grown closer and closer, quite often she began to seek his company to talk to him and to seek comfort when she needed it. Eventually things turned out to be a misunderstanding…

That night 3 years ago

She was walking back home from the hospital after visiting Shim Cheong. Part of her had still mixed feelings for the girl, but for some reason she did start to like her a bit. She wasn't even that angry anymore about Jo Jae.

While arriving at the park she suddenly saw a young man with a pink coat and an umbrella against the snow. Seeing him she felt a warm pleasant feeling going through her stomach, but didn't understand why.

"Tae Ho", she waved at him

"Ye, Noona. You didn't go home?"

She answered him with an agreeing sound and walked past him. He didn't seem to make a move to follow her. Why did she actually want him to follow her? It was very late so she would obviously feel safer with him, although for some reason she felt this was not the only reason she wanted him to follow her, but she quickly denied this to herself.

She turned back to him, "You're not dropping me off?

"Should I accompany you?" he asked with a smile on his face.

"No…I thought you wanted to drop me off. It's fine then." She waved if off, but knew he would come.

She heard him running quickly to her side holding the umbrella over her when he was next to her.

"I said it's fine, sigh, do whatever you want." She said, not wanting to show that she actually liked it.

But she couldn't deny she felt more at ease with him at his side.

"The snow is so pretty."

"It is" he answered in agreement.

She saw him taking out his phone. That stupid boy, does he still think he needs to take sneak shots, if he wants a picture he should just ask her.

She took his phone "Sigh, I'm being generous." She said while taking a picture of herself. "You gotta get some proper pictures. You always get sneak shots."

He tried to take the phone from her, but she kept him off, curious to see the sneak shots he took of her. But then she was in for a surprise… . When she scrolled to the next picture she saw it wasn't a picture of her, but from… Shim Cheong… .

"What the heck? Aren't all of these pictures of Cheong?"

"So the one you liked was not me but Unni Cheong? Was that it?"

"Then why did you confess that you like me?"

He looked at here with a guily face, "The thing is, the boss…"

"What? What did you do to me? Did you make a show? Why didn't you tell me? Was it fun seeing me like that? I didn't even know you were playing with me, and I took care of you're heart so that you wouldn't be damaged when I rejected you!"

She stormed away from him. The nice feeling she had was replaced now with pain, but she didn't understand why she felt so bad about this? It wasn't as if she had feelin… ani, what was she thinking, she liked Jo Jae. Aaah, she didn't know.

While walking away she sudenly heard slow footsteps behind her. Was he following her now? Angrily she shouted, "I told you don't follow me!" while quickly turning around to face him.

But it wasn't Tae Oh who was behind her…a creepy pervert suddenly opened his coat revealing that he was only in his underwear.

Shocked by what she saw she quickly ran away, hearing the pervert running after her. But then another person came, attacking the pervert. Turning around she saw it was Tae Oh who kicked the pervert with his umbrella. The pervert quickly yielded and ran away.

Completely shocked by what happened she started to cry on the nearest bench she got to sit on. Tae Oh quickly joined her and took her comforting in his arms

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Noona."

Then he softly wiped a tear from her eyes before doing the most unexpected thing. He pulled his head forward and placed his lips on hers, kissing her slowly.

She was astonished by his sudden move, but sudenly her fear was replaced with a warm feeling that got through her body. They stayed like that for around a minute, before she quickly pulled away from him.

"Aniyo, we shouldn't be doing this. Why are you doing this? It isn't as if you like me…"

She turned away from him, looking down at her fingers.

"Who said I don't like you?"

"What?!" Turning towards him again she looked at him with an unbelieving look on her face.

"You admitted you played me, and that the woman you like is…"

"At first I did…but after all this time spending time with you. Seeing you from all your sides, I think I have grown to like you… ani I do like you! I admit I had a crush on Cheong, but also not more than that. You think we met here by accident?"

She felt tears going over her cheecks again, but this time they weren't out of sadness, pain or shock, but out of hapiness.

"Looking him in the eye she said, I…I think I like you too…but I also feel confused. I feel comfortable with you, you make me smile again, being with you makes me happy and I feel as all if all my sorrows disapear and get replaced with a warm feeling through my body. But it's Jo Jae that I like, how could I possibly feel like this about you?"

Tae Oh softly wiped her tears, "Noona, don't worry, why don't we find out together…" he said with a smile on his face. He took her face in his hands and leaned forward placing his lips on hers for the second time that day. This time she fully gave in and all her worries melted away.

Hi everyone, I wanted to make some notes to avoid misunderstandings. In case you have watched Legend of the blue sea you will notice I gave a bit of my own turn to the memory wipe at the end of the series. So they kind of remember her, but the memory wipe holds them from thinking much about her and they don't know how she looked like.

I also don't have much experience with writing except for dry academic papers and I'm not a native English speaker, so please be easy on me even if you think it's horrible. ;)
