Riley woke up early the next morning. She got up and went to take a shower. When she got out of the shower she walked over to her closet and picked out a pair of black skinny jeans, a black long sleeve shirt, and a pair of converse. She grabbed her backpack then walked out of her room and downstairs. She was not surprised to see her drunk foster father pass out on the couch. She slowly walked past the couch trying not to wake up her foster father. She was about two feet away from the door when she felt someone grabbing her arms.

"Let go of me. I'm going to be late for school." Riley said as she tried to push him back.

"No, it's okay." He said as he led Riley over to the couch.

She flinched as he slammed into her, whimpers as he thrust harder and faster.

She pushed him off of her and graded her backpack trying to rush out the door, but her foster father grabbed her arm and turned her around slapping her multiple times before holding her neck in a tight grip. When he finally let go she rushed out of the door.

She was halfway down the street when everything went black.

The hospital

"What do we have?" Olivia asked Amanda when she walked into the ER.

"Witnesses found a teenage girl unconscious outside clothes torn, no panties." Amanda said as they started walking towards the nurse station.

"Well something definitely happened to her," Olivia said

Amanda said as they started walking towards the nurse station.

"Captain." The doctor said as she started to approach them.

"How is she?" Amanda asked

"Right now she is conscious. She has a few broken ribs. There are old and new bruises on her body. While she was out, they did a rape kit and found vaginal and anal tearing, consistent with rough sex. They did an x-ray and also found some broken ribs so whoever roughed her up is a real sadist." The doctor said

They thank the doctor that walked over to the girl's room.

"Hi, I'm Captain Benson and this is Detective Rollins. We're from the Special Victims Unit. We just wanted to ask you a couple of questions about what happened. Is that okay?"

The teen's black eyes moved from Olivia's and then to Amanda's but she didn't speak.

"Can you tell us a little about how that happened?" Amanda asked

Silence.

"You know. Anything you can tell us would be helpful. Even if you think it's not important. You're not in any trouble. We just want to help you."

Silence.

Amanda and Olivia exchanged looks again before they both got up and walked out of the room, out of ear-shot.

"Let's see if she'll open up more if there's only one of us," Liv suggested.

Amanda nodded and Olivia made her way back toward the girl.

Olivia walked in slowly, closing the curtain directly behind her.

The detective walked further in and leaned in to get a better look at the girl's eyes. She wanted to make eye contact with her but the teenager was making it hard to do so.

Olivia looked at the bruise on Riley's arms before she spoke.

"Those bruises looked pretty bad. Can you tell me how that happened?" Olivia asked

Still Silence.

"Okay, can you tell me your name?" Olivia asked

Nothing.

After a few minutes, someone knocked on the door. Then the person walked into the room.

"Hi I'm Diane Thompson Riley social worker." Diane said

"I'm Caption Benson." Olivia said

"Could I ask you a few questions outside please?" Olivia said

"Sure." She said as they walked into the hallway.

In the hallway.

"What is Riley's full name?" Olivia asked

"Riley Georgia Williams." Diane said

"Okay, when was the last time you saw or spoke to Riley?" Olivia asked

"Almost a month ago." Diane said

"And everything seems fine with her?" Olivia asked

"Yeah. I guess." Diane said

"You guess?" Olivia questioned

"Yeah, I mean Riley always lies about her foster father abusing her or complaining about something. Riley always had trouble in the foster home; this is her 30th one. Mr. Jonhson has had her for three years now, I wasn't going to move her again because of her lies." Diane said

"What did she specifically complain about?" Olivia asked

"She would say that he would hit her and starve her, but never went into detail about it. She also has a history of lying to get her way so that's why I didn't look into it." Diane said

"So just because she is a troublesome kid doesn't mean you dont help you. You're supposed to help in situations like that or I'm wrong?" Olivia said, clearly annoyed now.

"She a troublesome kid that lies all the time and get in trouble all of the time too, I was not going to waste my time on a stupid lie," Diane said

Olivia just rolled her eyes.

"Okay, did she have any boyfriend problems that you know? Anyone that would want to hurt her?" Olivia asked

"No, most of the day she would run off to someplace," Diane said

"Okay, thank you for your help." Olivia said

"Have she told you what happened to her yet?" Diane asked

"No, She hasn't spoken a single word yet. She's not answering any of my questions or acknowledging me at all." Olivia said

"If you don't mind, I would like to sit in there with her." Diane said

Olivia did not say anything she just nodded her head.

When they walked back into the room they noticed that Riley was gone.

"Damn it." Diane said

Diane looked around and also noticed that the window was open.

"She climbed out the window. Know her after what just happens she is going to hide somewhere no one can find her." Diane said
