Well it's time, the Snyder Cut is at hand and the world is finally getting the Justice League movie as the original director intended. However, there are many who still aren't fans over the generally grim and dark tones of the initial films of the DCEU. There were plenty of missed opportunities to expand the lore of that world's history, even if it was trying in vain to play catch-up with the MCU.
My own cynicism aside, perhaps the best form of this was outlined by the YouTube channel Nando v. Movies. In this, he gave us an alternate storyline that keeps all the main characters, introduces a few new minor ones, and creates a threat that's a bit less Apokoliptian, but still plenty dangerous. A threat the likes of which Marvel still hasn't gotten around to doing either.
I loved his take on what the Justice League movie might've been, and thought it deserves a full script treatment. I'm in no way affiliated with Nando, or with Warner Brothers, DC, HBO Max, or any official company with ties to the original sources. I'm just a guy who thought this would be a fun writing exercise. If you enjoy it, great! If not, you've still got the Snyder Cut to look forward to. Definitely check out Nando v. Movies on YouTube, Twitter, and wherever else he posts. And if you're reading this Nando, I hope I do your story justice (no pun intended).
