The Moon Kingdom
A beautiful, uniquely subtle, fragrant, was around her when she slowly started gaining her coincidences. Her eyelids were still feeling heavy, she could feel a strong but not disturbing light, so Sakura decided to remain them closed for a while longer and just savor the soothing atmosphere.
Slowly the memories of the unknown voice, calling her name and with that falling from the tree recalls in her mind. She instantly opens her brilliant eyes and promptly checks her surroundings.
She was lying in a king-size bed, with lovely white with golden details decorated, heavy sheets over her, the plump pillow under her head was big and fluffy and had the same design as the sheets. Naturally worried and suspicious about the specific situation, her hand moves to her tights where her Kunai Pouch should be typically.
That's when she noticed that not only was she in a different place she doesn't know or recognize but that also her clothes and exact appearance changed.
Her short cherry blossom pink hair was now very long and styled in an Odango, with buns that look like rabbit ears, she had the feeling that her hair was now even shinier than before and it also smelled like moon flowers.
Instead of her pratique shinobi gear, she was currently assuming a pale white flowing dress with shoulder pieces disconnected from her dress, in the form of angel wings and a decorated bodice with gold hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, was a white slight bow with a long fluttery ribbon. She, on top, wore a brilliant gold beaded bracelet on her right wrist.
Her other hand started to gently move to her head and then she noticed that her hitai-ate was also missing. Gradually placing her hand down again she gently strokes against her prominent forehead and notices that her Byakugou seal changed its proper form, now it didn't feel like a diamond anymore, it was moreover like a crescent moon. An unpleasant feeling was spreading through her stomach. What if it doesn't work anymore?
Focusing back on the room, she takes the heavy sheets off and stands up from the warm, cozy bed. Flashed with a shiver from the arctic air she jumps up slightly. "Who would wear a dress like this when it's so cold here?". Sakura noticed that the unique architecture of the room she woke up in, doesn't resemble Konoha or any of the other hidden Village.
Everything in the room was made of polished White stones or blue crystals. Except for the bed she was laying, there wasn't much furniture in the room, a small commode next to the bed, a enormous window without any glass, a door of crystals on the opposing side of the bed, and one big mirror which included a frame of blue crystal was to her left. She walked in front of the mirror just to be astonished by her look.
She finds it unbelievable the pretty girl in the mirror should be her, Sakura Haruno. The long and silky hair was glossy in the light, the dress she already was stunned at by just looking down on herself was looking even more beautiful on her, as if it was only made for her. The gorgeous dress fitted perfectly on her body which brought her curves more to the foreground.
Focusing back on everything she remembers she could be in Enemy's territory, that's when she noticed the source of light was coming from the big window on the other side of the room. Walking on to it she was startled. She was in something like a Palace and everything was glowing and shining.
That's when an enchanting melody, which sounds so basic yet familiar started playing, the melody was so calming and offered her the peace that she lost, all her suspicion and her worries, for that moment. Sakura narrowed her eyes and just savored that moment.
Slowly the crystal door opened and a little light ball came inside almost like a glowworm, except it only consisted of sparkling light, a wintry blue light. But even though it looked so cold, the little light ball was causing her a pleasant feeling.
The light ball made its way to Sakura's attractive face and stroked her lightly. She noticed that the light ball wanted to head her somewhere so when it fled the room she followed it. Somehow Sakura couldn't worry about the situation anymore. Everything was feeling familiar, it almost felt like she had lived her whole life here.
They enter an interminable corridor with concrete solid pillars on each side like every 2 meters. A long Bordeaux carpet which once more obtained golden details on the sides was going through the whole corridor. On the walls were historical paintings of beautiful people, they all looked so royal.
Some of them were engaged couples, the unique way they were looking at each other was just indescribable. Even though it was just a painting, Sakura was able to maintain the love each pair had for each other. In other pictures were lovely families.
And then there were some pictures where various charming girls were standing alone. They assumed a similar dress like Sakura. They all had their glossy hair in the similar Odong style and all of them had this weird moon crescent tattoo on their forehead.
But the pictures which Sakura liked the most were the ones where a bunch of lovely girls were standing in almost fighting positions. They were wearing short skirts and something similar to a sailor uniform. It made them look pretty cute but in the same way, they looked strong and not to be underestimated.
Curious Sakura started to wonder again, why is she in such a decent place, this place was more than just beautiful, why is this place so empty when it is unimaginably huge, when she is here to be kidnapped then why is her kidnapper not showing him or herself.
Drowning in her thoughts Sakura didn't notice how she ended up being in a enormous hall. When she undoubtedly hears a loud but still gentle risp, she looks up and discovers one of the most attractive women she ever saw.
Sakura in her new fit and the women in front of her looked therefore similar, that they could be twins. The attractive woman in front of her possesses blue eyes, almost as blue and warm as Naruto's, and long yellowish blonde hair, styled in two buns with flowing pigtails. Sakura had to chuckle even though the woman in front of her looked amazing. She looked so much like Naruto's sexy no Jutsu form, 'Naruko'. Focusing back on the local women, she had a golden crescent moon on her forehead. The dear Lady wore a pale white flowing gown with white shoulder pieces disconnected from her dress, an intricately decorated bodice with gold hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, the shoulder pieces were omitted and a mighty, wing-shaped bow. She, on top, wears a crown, golden spiral earrings, and a golden beaded bracelet on her right wrist.
"Good Morning my beautiful child," declared the woman with such a warm and comforting smile. Sakura was genuinely shocked "my child? What does she mean", was she thinking confused.
The woman chuckled slightly, "Ah, right I guess you are pretty confused about this whole situation here right? Effectively allow me to start by introducing myself.", she kept that beautiful smile on her face and instantly started walking in Sakura's direction.
I am Neo Serenity, Queen Neo Serenity. The ruler of the moon kingdom, well more like the former ruler.", again she chuckled delightedly but this time it was moreover like a depressed one and her glittering eyes drifted to the immense windows in the magnificent hall.
"The Moon Kingdom??" was everything Sakura could properly manage to say, she was shocked not only did she just discover that the person in front of her is a queen but no she is the Queen of the moon kingdom. She hasn't even believed till now that there is life on the moon but a whole kingdom, unbelievable.
Performing her way to Sakura and gently stroking her slight hand over Sakura's cheek. The Queen continued talking, "Sakura, my gorgeous girl, I know this is all unbelievable for you but I dearly need you to sit down with me because I have a lot to say and explain for you."
With that Serenity gripped Sakura's hand, that's where she noticed how cold her hands were even though her face and smile gave her warmth, her hands were Ice Cold. She dragged Sakura to a huge terrace. The view was just amazing.
The luminous sky was completely dull, almost black, the brilliant stars were shining so bright and seemed unimaginably huge, never had Sakura seen the Stars like this. But what was the most shocking was a planet huge and round, with many blue and green yet a little bit of white space on it. "Could it be the earth?", was she thinking, but that wouldn't make sense right?
That's when she noticed that the land under the palace was all in a white, grayish tone, with many craters, no sign of living as well.
"You are right, the huge Planet you see in front of us is the Earth, the planet you has lived on till now.", Sakura got slightly scared if the earth is in front of her then is she currently on the moon?
Neo Serenity sat down on a white bench and invited Sakura to join her by patting lightly on the spare space next to her. Sakura moved slowly, kind of hypnotized to the bench and sat down next to the Queen. Everything was so odd but at the same time, she felt so homely in the presence of that woman.
Her eyes focused on the Earth right in front of them the attractive blonde, a golden hair where even Ino would get jealous, showed some sadness in her eyes and started talking, " Sakura my dear, there is a mighty lot I need to announce you but sadly my time is very limited so I will do my best to tell you the most important things okay?"
Sakura just nodes and let the woman keep talking,
"Therefore let's begin with the most complex topic, Sakura, you realistically are my daughter" the pinkettes hands move to her mouth, to hide her gaping mouth, "How could I be your daughter, I'm clearly the daughter of Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno, they were the ones who raise me, they were the ones who bring me this world how can you say something so nonsense?" Sakura was furious, almost raging.
The woman put both of her hands on Sakura and pushed her lightly down on the bench," Sakura please calm down and listen first, my child I really don't have many times, but if you let me explain, everything is going to make sense, okay?", She tilted her head slightly and gave Sakura a kindly smile.
The pinkette crossed her arms and sank more on the bench, still furious and suspicious about the woman who offered her a slight, nearly unnoticeable nod, "Hn". Sakura turns her head away from the woman and eagerly watches the earth in front of them.
Pleasant Neo Serenity smiles satisfied and also turns to the earth, they both sit there in silence when the Queen breath in loudly and starts talking again, "So, you are not directly my daughter Chibiusa or Little pink lady, you are her reincarnation" Sakura's eyes widened about this 'reincarnation??', but she kept silent, for now.
"It is indeed a lengthy story, but I will cut it short so you get the most meaningful things out of it." Neo Serenity took a slight break to think about where she should start and then continued "So I in common am the daughter of Queen Serenity and Hamura Ótsutsuki, the latest Queen of the Moon Kingdom and Chibiusa was mine and Endymions daughter.", she paused to smile sadly for a second.
"My beloved daughter was always moreover like a driven rebel you know, she never listened to me, ah damn that spoilt child never took me seriously, but when it came to her father she immediately listened" Sakura hears the queen chuckle slightly but however doesn't even look at her.
"Well even though it annoys me, I hope you are still the same even if you are reborn in a new body, in a new life. I nevertheless hope you maintained that rebel-like character. Well, so there was one remarkable thing that was completely forbidden for you, not only you but for the whole moon kingdom. That was, visiting the earth."
"What, why should it be forbidden for you to visit the earth?" Sakura interrupted eagerly her curries. "Well, directly you are keenly interested huh?" she chuckled delightedly, to which Sakura just got annoyed. "Definitely it was forbidden for us. I don't know if you know anything about the Rabbit Goddess Kaguya, but the Earth King was afraid that we the Moon Kingdom could be evil like her, that we sincerely desire power like her. He was bothered that we had the power to rule wisely over the solar system, even if Endymion my husband was an earth prince, like why should he injure his people? So he threatened us to start a war, knowing he cooperates with the Dark Kingdom as well, we decided to stay away from him to protect the peace.", All this was too much specific information for Sakura and she felt overloaded slightly but she naturally wanted to keep listening.
"Then my dear daughter started sneaking on the earth, without our knowledge of course. She was still a little kid not older than 10, I never noticed she left for the earth, only that she was really happy at that time. I acknowledged she was disappearing through time, but I thought she was just spending time with the other Guardians.", Sakura just got more flustered, the gracious queen observing this, "Ah right, sorry my fault you presumably don't even know what guardians are right? Receiving a nod from the pinkette the Queen continued.
"So basically, Sailor Guardians are like Shinobis. They fight to protect the solar system from enemies and bad guys." Neo Serenity laughed nervously and scratched her neck. Sakura had to smile, this lovely woman undoubtedly contained many striking similarities to Naruto."But the notable difference from the Shinobis is, that guardians don't fight like you guys they wield the extraordinary power of the planets, for an example you will be Sailor Cherry Moon, you are a imperial princess from the Moon Kingdom so you will fight with the power of the moon, every guardian is connected with a planet and can use its power for their benefits, oh and they were cute Sailor uniforms" she grinned and her pigtails slightly jumped, Serenity dearly appreciated the clothing style of the Guardians.
"Okay back to Chibiusa's story, so after a few years, her mood drastically changed. Something must have happened on the earth, and after that, she didn't disappear anymore.", her mood changed and sadness appeared in her voice while she started looking down on her hands in her lap, suddenly a smile appeared on her lovely face, only a small one, though.
"Then she started disappearing again, this time for longer periods so I got curious and started to ask her more and more often where she leaves and with who she leaves, then one day she decided to tell me everything and well", the Queen looked directly to the earth on her face was now shimmering the strong lights from the outside of the palace, Sakura had to admit that with every second she looks at Serenity she appeared prettier.
Her pale, almost milky skin, her enormous blue eyes which remain definitely a concurrency to Narutos, while Narutos were clear and light like the Sky, hers were deep and possessed so many diverse kinds of dazzling blue in them.
She had beautiful peachy full lips, and her cheeks had a light blush, well that princess was just all in all magnificent. Then she continued talking.
"My dear dear daughter instantly fell in love, with a human boy, just as her mother did hundreds of years before, oh I practically forgot to mention, the guardians and the moon kingdom people don't age like the ones on earth, we have a way longer life than the humans down there, this also considers people who marry inside the Moon Kingdom."
"Therefore I willingly allowed her to meet with that guy because love is the most pleasant thing in this world right? Are you or have you ever been in love Sakura?", Big blue eyes were looking expectantly at Sakura. The pinkette just got sad about this specific question, by heart was she loving Sasuke? Or was this just a stupid childhood crush, she couldn't decide because with every day the feelings for the Uchiha got weaker, so she merely shook her head?
"Hm that's disappointing I guess, everyone should at least feel love for once, even if it ends with heartbreak. Well never mind then Cherry, so after a proper time Chibiusa found out that the guy she loves, Helios, was the son of the Earth King to the Prince of the earth. Well, that was the moment I understood that we were in big trouble, but I didn't want to tear the lovers apart so I decided to talk with the Earth King. For all one knows this could also support our grand alliance, but I was extremely late, the magician Beryl, who was also in love with Helios found out and told the King. With each other they made up one of the biggest and most effective armies, but as that wasn't enough the Dark Kingdom supported them.", She took a deep breath before continuing
"The Dark Kingdom remains a kingdom of magicians, who are against the Moon Kingdom. They wanted to develop a world which is ruled by pain and hate, there was no love in their reign, everything was about power. Therefore when the local time came the Guardian, the Moon Kingdom, and even Helios fought against them.", A shiny but slight tear fell from her radiant eyes before she continued.
"There were so many preventable deaths Sakura, first we lost all the Guardians, then the population of the moon kingdom and then, when Beryl almost killed Chibiusa, Helios jumped in front of her to defend her and sadly died in the arms of his lover, you because don't forget my girl you are Chibiusa, her reincarnation. Chibiusa couldn't bear all the losses anymore and let herself control by hate and revenge, she turned into Dark Lady, this is a terribly aggressive state but sadly every move is typically controlled by hate, so she didn't exactly know what she was performing. I couldn't stand this all anymore so I used the Silver Crystal", Serenity took a beautiful Crystal brooch out of her elegant dress and revealed it to Sakura.
"This Crystal had the power to strike and properly seal the Dark Kingdom away, to beat beryl and the Earth King and to take away the darkness of my dear Chibiusa's heart, using it took nearly all of my power and I thought everything was over now that we could start all over again but then…"Another tear escaped from her beautiful Eyes and she took a while before continuing,
"As Chibiusa saw what happened and she realized that nearly everyone she dearly loved died, especially Helios, she couldn't take it anymore, and…" The legendary Queen collapsed in burning tears, instead of small little tears she was presently fully crying and whimpering, even though Sakura doesn't really know this helpless woman who apparently is her mother, her heart breaks seeing her broke like this, the excessive amount of terrible pain this woman lived through most be unbelievable.
In between cries and stutters, the Queen tries continuing, "Then right in front of my eyes, right in front of me, my poor baby, my one and only daughter took her life, she took her own life and I couldn't do anything, I couldn't stop her I, I felt so useless it was so horrible…", she got muter with every word she declared until she completely shut down.
Sakura gently took Serenity's cold hands in her own warm ones and offered her an emphatic but lovely smile, with wide eyes the dear Queen practically threw herself on Sakura, embracing her face in the pinkettes neck, they stayed for a few minutes like this. Just Serenity quietly cries and Sakura trying to comfort her by slowly stroking her back. After they tear apart the gorgeous blonde swept away from her tears and properly looked Sakura in the eyes, this time it was her holding Sakura's hands.
"Sakura my dear child, after seeing my lovely daughter die there, there was only one possible thing left I could do…Therefore I spent my last power, my last bit of life energy in the Silvercrystal so you and Helios could get reincarnated.", she released one of Sakura's hands to move farther to her face and gently stroke her cheek.
"I really hope, no it is in your ultimate destiny you and Helios will encounter each other again, fall in love again but this time please Sakura don't let it end in a possible tragedy, you both deserve the unconditional love of each other okay? As to properly protect the earth and your heart from the Darkness my Sweetheart...", the Queen smiled one last time, but this time it wasn't a wistful smile, it was purely and warm.
Sakura's heart clenched, her love life is already written? Why was she supposed to love a man just because her incarceration desired him? It is possible she had a completely different type than her? Could Sasuke remain the reincarnation of Helios, but she only just started losing feelings for him?
Out of nowhere she slowly started getting transparent, everything started to get transparent and shimmering, getting blurry. When the Queen gently kissed Sakura on her prominent forehead, she shouted fiercely, "Wait, I still have so many questions, you can't just leave like this, who is Helios? How should I find him? How is it sure that we will love each other again? He presumably doesn't even know anything about this just like me."
Serenity started to float gently, immense white wings appeared on her back, as she was going higher and higher she extended her arms, eyes closed she smiled graciously, "No need to worry my beautiful daughter, you will feel it, when you see him and he will feel it as well, my time in this world is now completely over. Hearty farewell Sakura and never forget I always had an eye over you and dearly loved you the same way I loved Chibiusa."
An uncontrollable tear slid down Sakura's glowing cheeks, she just met her real mother, why couldn't she spend more proper time with her, there was still so much she wanted to ask her and talk about with her and then she was embraced in absolute darkness when she gradually lost her coincidence...
