Chapter 3

"Do you understand now Percy? How dangerous you can truly be?" Chiron asked with a soft smile on his face.

"Yes," I breathed out deeply. "I understand."

"Then use that power to defeat the Titan of Destruction," Chiron said, his eyes gleaming with pride. "Take your birthright and you can defeat him."

"I will Chiron. Thank you for everything."

I swiped my hand through the mist, cutting off the connection. I started walking up the hill, back to Annabeth.

"So let me get this straight." Annabeth looked at me in shock. "All you need to defeat the Titan is a trident? Why were we not aware of this before?"

"I think it's because of how dangerous it could be if I'm not ready to control it. Plus, I need all the help I can to take on the Titan."

Annabeth pulled Dedalus's laptop onto her lap and started to type.

"Alright, I can alter the plan a bit to fit in your new ability. Now that you have a way to counteract the Titan your original plan might be the way to go."

I looked at her with surprise visible on my face. "My plan? You think it will work?"

Annabeth had a small smile when she spoke again. "Yes, Percy. It was not a bad plan. We just didn't have the capabilities to make it work. But now we do."

I stood up and reached out my hand to pull her up.

"You ready?" I asked her, my body beginning to get flooded with adrenaline.

"Yeah, Percy. Go get your trident. I'll wait for your signal," Annabeth responded with a slightly nervous smile.

"Good luck Wise Girl."

"Bold of you to assume I need luck Seaweed Brain."

As I walked to the shore, I was extending my senses, absorbing every detail that surrounds me: The waves as they lapped at the sand, the cool breeze of the early morning air, the sounds that emanate from the warehouse, and the smell of the sea.

I continued walking until I was waist-deep in the water, I thought back to what Chiron told me and released my power. My eyes took on a bright sea-green glow as the water began churning around me.

"Father," I prayed, my eyes gleaming in the early morning light. "I need your help."

The water at my feet began glowing with a powerful green light. The water began snaking up my body, covering me in a protective layer, in armor. A shaft of water shot up and hardened in my grip. The light became so strong that I was forced to close my eyes.

As I felt the light fade away, I opened my eyes.

Thank you to Blitz2134 and addalittlesmoke for the amazing reviews!

I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter!

I wanted to continue this chapter, but I wanted to keep this chapter the same as the other two, with every major scene having its own chapter.

Good news though, I will be writing and posting Chapter 4 tomorrow!

If anyone wants to review with any comments, advice, or simply saying that they enjoyed the story, please do. Reading reviews written by you inspire me to write more.

Sorry if some people want longer Chapters, I didn't really set this story up that way. Though for any future stories that I do the chapters will definitely be longer.

We have one more chapter to go before the fight officially starts.

Thank you to everyone who's favorited this story or even read it, any little thing helps me immensely.
