The Alien Ship
The crew of the Enterprise had gone out on a mission to exploring the planetary system that they had just found. Everyone was in a pretty good mood. It was in a set of stars that no one had ever seen before. It held a promise of a lot of surprises. That it did, it surprised all of them. The crew was composed of newcomers to the Star Fleet of star ships.
The light was beginning to fade on the landscape. There was a pink and golden glow in the atmosphere for their sunset. Simon looked about on the planet their Star ship from Earth had just landed on. It was desolate looking in a way. He also felt pretty peaceful on it. There seemed to be no trouble, the weather was clear. He felt it was a very soothing atmosphere about him. He liked staying there. He was right then unbenownst to him beginning to be under the influence of a special power there.
Spock was in charge of this mission. He was in control of it all and looking forward to investigating the new planet. As Spock began to watch them all from the ship he did see different things that seemed to be happening that had him very worried. He did wonder if it was some sort of imaginary foolery that was going on there on the planet. He had seen a sort of shadows waiting. He wondered if it was all his imagination. He had been fairly tired from another day of exploration.
Suddenly, in a complete surprise to Felix Henderson, a new member of the crew, he felt and then saw a becoming female presence in front of him. She was beautiful in a conventional and natural sense and clothed in becoming blue colors with a silvery trim.
Then she greeted him. "Greetings," said the planet resident in a subtle, clear voice and then "Peace be with you always traveler." At that point she began to withdraw from him in a quiet and subtle manner. "You cannot stay here any longer, the light fades now," she relayed this information to him. "We will go and you cannot follow us."
"What do you mean by that, why can't I stay here then?" Simon said beginning to become a bit rattled.
"Look at your feet," the female vision of wonder told him. Her hair glowed in the dusk light a golden tone. She had spoken to him and now was leaving.
It was then that Simon noticed that there was beginning to be no earth at all beneath his feet. Or the earth as they would call it. That is as a person from Earth might word it. He began to activate his space activity withdrawal from the planet then and was able to escape back to his ship. Still Simon had been pretty scared by that idea. When he got back to the ship he found that the planet was indeed fading. Obviously something was going on then with that planet that no one on Earth would be at all familiar with. He looked about at the spaceship. Everyone there in the spaceship was still behaving in a fairly normal manner without any surprise. He began walking back to the chairs in the ship and the people there.
They felt ungrounded all of them that had been on the mission the new crew members. They had never seen anything of that kind before this. They knew they would see new things on a mission into space but had expected nothing of this sort. There was sort of a rucus going on in a discussion of what had happened on the planet. Some of the crew members had themselves been repeating different things about other things happening to them. All was not good on the planet. It held many secrets and who was to know what was really happening.
Spock was informed of what was happening and he had seen great evidence of what was going on with the planet. He did wonder if the powers that were there had conceived of a false vision of their planet or if it was really happening and real.
The other part of the expedition had taken beer glasses that it had found there with them. They looked forward to doing tests on them. However, that was not possible in that case. The glasses began to fade into the night. There was nothing left there. The beer was then left in puddles. They were leaving then.
They had also managed to get a whole keg of beer. It was as if it was left for them. They had tried some of it. The trouble was that it was also fading, the keg of beer, and then there was nothing left of it.
The area was darkening. They did decide it would be a good idea to go back to their spaceship and they did then the crew. It was a good idea for them. They looked back at the planet and the whole thing was fading. It was just fading into the night. Soon, it just looked as if there was nothing there.
Some of the crew were beginning to be very worried by this idea. The way that things were going what else could happen here?
The captain of the crew decided to leave so they would go back to their own planet. It was time and everyone was very tired and feeling as if there was something deeply wrong there. It had upset several of the crew. It upset them in a way that nothing had ever done before.
The ship began to leave the planet. The idea of them really being stopped from doing so had occurred to Spock. After all, that had happened before on other planets. But this time they were able to leave it all pretty easily.
Unfortunately, two of the new crew members had found a robot there. They thought it would be a good item to look at. They had taken it with them. Really someone should have stopped them from doing so but they did not.
The crew members Jeff and Edward then had set to taking the robot apart to see just what it was made of. It was not a good idea. They took the robots head off so they could find out what was happening with it. In a short time they had all of the head contents of the poor robot taken out. It was fascinating what they could do and find going on in different places.
Then to their great dismay they were being stopped. They noticed a huge white spaceship coming towards them. It frightened many of them. They had to give way to it. There was an announcement from the alien spaceship then. "You may be curious about the robot but you are not allowed to take it apart," this said by one of the aliens of the planet.
"Turn over the robot it is not to be taken to Earth," the alien voice repeated. The voice sounded so much like a human voice but it was so obviously not.
The crew then put the robot back together as quickly as they could. They did so in a great rush of fear. Then they set it back in the small vessel that had come for them from the large ship. It was just a mechanical ship.
The robot then had said something. Having come back to its sort of life it replied, "I had lost my head for a bit." Then it smiled back at them. It was enough to really set someone back towards their own planet.
The planet was obviously very far above them in knowledge and power. It was a sort of power they had never seen before.
Before they left they saw sparkles in the sky. They were extremely beautiful and lit up the night sky. Also there were things there the crew had never seen before out in the sky. These things were some that were beautiful and delightful and some that they wish they could soon forget. Not all saw these things but some did. Some would cringe at the thought forever.
Spock asked them over the speaker what had happened. "This is Spock, we apologize for any misunderstanding," Spock replied. It was then that many of the crew breathed a sigh of relief.
"We think that you will not understand what is happening on this planet, it is probably better if you do not come back soon," the blond haired woman replied that had greeted one of the crew members. "Good night to you and may you have peace on your planet. We wish you well."
Spock replied to her then, "Live long and prosper, and thank you."
In later years Spock might be able to return there because he was a vegetarian. Spock had that information from other sources after this had all happened.
