Chapter 15/Epilogue
(Now that Olivia has met her brother and will have a relationship with him as they exchanged cell numbers and home addresses so they can visit each other, Olivia can focus on her company again 'OPA' and the love of her life)
(Olivia meets up with Quinn and Huck at 'OPA'. She updates them on what's been going on regarding what happened with Elijah and Noah. Everyone is glad Elijah's officially out of their lives)
Quinn: "It took long enough for us to be free of that bastard."
Olivia: (scoffs incredulously) "You're telling me. I'm just so glad I don't have to worry about him anymore."
Huck: "And if Elijah ever tries to contact you?"
Olivia: "I'll tell him to leave me the fuck alone. If that doesn't work, I'll get a restraining order against him. I'm done with him, Huck."
Huck: (nods slowly) "Good."
(Olivia then receives a text from Jake)
Jake: "Hey. Can you meet me in the park by the bench? I have a surprise for you."
Quinn: "Is that from Jake?"
Olivia: "Yes."
Quinn: "What's he up to?"
Olivia: "He wants to meet in the park by the bench." (chuckles) "It's kind of our spot."
Quinn: (smiling) "How sweet. Go. You don't want to keep lover boy waiting."
(That comment causes Olivia to laugh, but in a good way. Her and Jake were finally in a good place and Olivia was not going to mess that up. Quinn, Huck, and Olivia say their goodbyes before Olivia departs)
(Once Olivia's in the park, she sees the bench is all decorated. There are flowers and rose petals all over on the bench and balloons in different colors. Olivia turns her head a bit to the side and smiles at Jake, who's standing next to the bench)
Olivia: "What's going on?"
(As Jake is walking towards her, he speaks)
Jake: (grins) "I've been planning this moment for a long time, but the right exact moment never felt good."
(He shrugs his shoulders and tilts his head as he continued)
Jake: "I was tired of all the waiting and wanted to make things official…at long last."
(He takes her hands into his and spoke from his heart)
Jake: "I've been in love with you since I first saw you and met you. The road to get here has not been easy."
(Olivia scoffs and shakes her head in response)
Olivia: "No, it has not. It took me a bit longer to admit how I truly felt as I thought I loved Fitz. But I was wrong. Oh, how wrong I was in the end." (smiles happily) "Thank you, baby, for waiting for me until I got my shit together."
(Jake takes her hands to his lips and kisses them before speaking)
Jake: "You were always worth it. We love each other and are together now."
Olivia: (grins happily) "Thank you so much, my love, for not giving up on me…even when I gave you every reason in the world not to believe in me."
(Jake tilts his head and smiles at his girl)
Jake: "That's what we do for those we love. We don't let go. No matter what."
Olivia: (curiously) "What happens now?"
(Jake briefly looks around before facing his girl again)
Jake: "I thought of this spot…the bench…because we always seem to bump into each other here." (chuckles softly) "I guess I've come to think of this bench as 'our' spot, you know?"
(He waves his hand, as if to show her the decorations)
Jake: (sighs) "I know the decorations aren't much."
Olivia: "They're beautiful. I love them. And I'm glad you chose this place. Because you're right, it is kind of like 'our' spot."
(Olivia sits down on the bench that has the rose petals on it. She gasps slightly in shock, resting her hands on her mouth while Jake gets down on one knee)
Jake: "I love you so much, Olivia Pope. I can't imagine life without you in it. You have made me so happy and I can't wait to start our lives together."
(Jake takes out a ring box, opens it, revealing a 3-carat heart shaped diamond ring)
Jake: "Olivia Carolyn Pope, will you marry me?"
(Olivia laughs in excitement before screaming her answer to her soulmate)
Olivia: "Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! I love you and I can't wait to marry you!"
(Jake places the engagement ring onto Olivia's wedding ring finger. He then gets up, takes his fiancé to his arms, sways her in a circle as they laugh happily. Once they stop, they kiss and smile at each other)
Olivia: "I love you."
Jake: "I love you more, baby."
(They were so glad they FINALLY got their happily ever after)
