You're... an... android?" John asked as he backed away from them both. Brooke instinctively stood herself in front of Connor, protecting him if her father did not approve.

"Dad, we can explain. I wanted to tell you, but I didn't know how." John didn't take his eyes off Connor who stood behind her, holding his nose to stop the blue blood. Two workers had heard and quickly left the house, not wanting to witness the brewing argument.

"You are in a relationship with a... machine," he quietly said to them. Connor placed his hand on Brooke's shoulder, silently asking her to move to the side. John backed away, even more, when he moved in front of her.

"Sir, please. I might be a machine, but I love Brooke with all my being. I've been a deviant for a long time, and without your daughter's help, I would not have come as far as I already have." John wasn't sure what to do, his clenched fists were showing his anger, but the pure shock on his face was a different story.

"Get yourself cleaned up, I want to speak to you both in one hour, you'll have a lot of explaining to do. Both of you!" he shouted as he walked out of the hall, slamming the door behind him. Brooke pushed Connor towards the kitchen, finding the first aid kit under the sink.

"You okay?" she whispered as he sat on the chair, she stood between his legs, holding his chin as she wiped the sterile wipes over his nose. The bridge of his nose had dropped and a wire hung out, he needed to get it fixed.

"No," he replied, not looking at her. He had blown what little relationship he was forming with John and may have destroyed Brooke's relationship with him. Brooke frowned at him, she didn't like seeing him so upset.

"Don't let this get you down, Connor. He had to find out sooner or later. I can't fix this here, did you bring any parts with you?" Connor nodded depressingly. She sighed as she went to their room to find his bag, seeing parts in there for him. She brought the bag out, letting him take over and fix his nose.

"I don't think he will accept me, Brooke," he said as he turned away from her, not wanting her to see as he dropped his artificial skin and the metal plating showed as he pulled the metal broken bridge off and replaced it with another. Brooke tried to look, but he waved his free arm for her to stop, he didn't want her to watch. Blue blood dropped on the floor as he pulled the circulation tube out and pushed another inside to reconnect. The HUD warning finally dropped.

"He will accept you, I will not give him much of a choice in the matter," she finally spoke as she moved him to the side to wipe up the blood. "I love you, and my fathers opinion on our relationship is the last thing I care about. if I didn't want to be with you, I would have never gone to your apartment that day."

"What and nearly fuck on my table," he joked. Brooke gasped at his vulgar language, he rarely swore in such a manner.

"Connor!" she laughed as she swatted him with the back of her hand. The laugh quickly disappeared when Connor's smile dropped and he looked down at the floor, sighing to himself. "Come here," she said, holding her arm out to him.

Connor moved over to her, letting his arms snake around her waist and head drop to her shoulder. She held him tightly, stroking up and down his back. "It will be okay," she whispered.

Brooke and Connor both sat on the sofa in the living room, John pacing in front of them like a father preparing to scold his kids. "Okay," he spoke up, scratching his chin. "When did this thing start?" he asked, waving his hand between them both.

Brooke looked at Connor, she decided to speak for them both. "Around eight months ago. Not long after I moved to Detroit." John nodded.

"And when did you think of telling me?" he asked, sitting down in his usual one-seater chair, reminding Connor of Hank.

"I wasn't sure, a... lot of things happened when our relationship first started. Androids were being attacked with red ice, me and Connor went to London to help with peace and..." John waved his hand, stopping her.

"You two were the ones who helped the androids in the UK?" They both looked at each other before nodding. "I heard about that, but never knew it was you too. I'm sure they greatly appreciate you both. Continue," he said to Brooke.

"We stopped the people who were attacking androids but Connor was killed in the process." Brooke realised she said that a bit too abruptly, John narrowed his eyes to her. Looking over at Connor, who was very much living. "I... mean. His old body, the RK800 model, was destroyed protecting me. Elijah Kamski, the founder of Cyberlife transferred Connor to another body."

"You're the deviant hunter?" John gasped. Connor nodded slightly before speaking.

"Was," he corrected. "I was programmed to do that, but Hank opened my eyes to the real world and I converted to a deviant the first chance I was able."

John scratched his beard, trying to process everything he was being told. "So... you saved Brooke? What model is this?"

"Yes, I was shot and my body shut down. This model is RK900, I'm the last model ever created by Cyberlife, and the most advanced," Connor explained without sounding smug about it. He did still miss his old body, it was all he knew, but he now accepted and understood Brooke and Hank's decision to let Kamski transfer himself to the new body.

"I see," John whispered, not too sure what to say. Brooke didn't know if he accepted their story or not, but he finally spoke again. "Though I am still very shocked you are dating an android, Brooke. I can... live with it. Giving your life for a different species isn't taken lightly, not many humans would give their lives for androids. Thank you for saving my daughter, Connor."

The androids face lit up with the biggest smile, both men stood up. Connor expected another handshake, but he was pulled in for a quick manly hug, a strong pat on his back that barely touched him. "You are welcome, sir. I'd do it again in a heartbeat."

"Well," John said, backing away. "Let's continue with your stay here before you both go home, there is still lots for us to do." Brooke smiled at her father, giving him the biggest hug and a kiss on the cheek as thanks. She couldn't ask for a better dad than him for accepting the love of her life.

The rest of the week was the busiest they had. Connor and John worked and bonded together as they both worked on the barn, turning it into a stable and storage unit. Brooke helped around the farm, she spent most of her time with Sugar. Rekindling with the mare.

Connor enjoyed himself a lot, John asked him many questions about his time as the deviant hunter and just basic questions about androids. He even put his strength to the test, getting the farmhands to lift random objects. Most couldn't, but Connor did with little effort or struggle.

Hank checked in on them a few times and even went into a three-hour phone call with John, both men bonding on their old memories. They agreed to meet again, either in Vancouver or Detroit.

The day finally came for Brooke and Connor to head home, they were both tired from all the hard work they had put in, but the barn was finished. It had been rebuilt by Connor and repainted by Brooke. A stable was added and two floors for storage room for equipment and hay bales.

"Thank you both so much for your help," John said as he hugged them both outside the airport. Brooke couldn't help but tear up, she missed her dad a lot and hated saying goodbye. "Come on, sweetpea," he said, wiping the tears away. "You will always have a home here, both of you."

"Thank you, sir," Connor said as he wrapped his arm around Brooke, pulling her close and planting a kiss on her head.

"Please, call me John. You are like a son to me, I expect to hear news of my marriage soon." He only half-joked. Brooke snorted at him, she wanted to marry Connor, but they hadn't spoken about it much. No humans and androids have gotten married yet, but android couples had.

"We will see," Connor smiled. Brooke raised a brow at him but decided that was a conversation for another time and in private.

"Fly safe, let me know when you're both home," John called as they walked away. They all shared a wave before the airport doors blocked off view of them.

"You want to get married?" Brooke whispered as they headed to check-in. Connor smiled and slightly nodded before looking down at her.

"Well, I don't plan on marrying anyone else, though I am not proposing in an airport." Brooke just laughed, letting the subject drop as they walked hand in hand.

A/N: So marriage is close for them both I think. I wasn't sure how their story was going to end, but I have two ideas that will be giving us two endings. You can choose which you would prefer from there, but for now, we still have a few more adventures with them both. Till next time!
