The Doctor got to platform 9 and 10 on time for once. The train left at 11 and she arrived at 10.30. Unwilling to rush at a brick wall without knowing for sure it was an illusion, The Doctor scanned the wall with her sonic. Unsurprisingly, McGonagall hadn't been lying and the wall was in fact infused with artron energy.
The Doctor cautiously leaned into the portal dragging her trunk along with her. Her trunk unlike Idris and her pockets did not hold a much larger dimension inside. Instead, she had left it in its original size. She didn't need all that extra space.
When she emerged on the other side, the red train immediately grabbed her attention. Red was such a great colour! It wasn't a sign of danger like mauve but humans thought it was. What did that say about the train? That it was about to lead all of them into danger? Brilliant!
She lifted her trunk onto the train - it didn't take her much effort: Time Lords were stronger than humans even if they didn't look it.
As she had arrived early (on time), she was able to find an empty compartment. She had arranged to meet up with her fellow 'new-to-the-Carrionite-world' year mates and was now presented with the task of waiting for them to show up. She wondered once again why she had decided to arrive early.
Finally, Justin showed up "Alright there Hermione? You couldn't give me a hand with my trunk could you?"
Obligingly, the Doctor got up to help him out. She hadn't found her trunk particularly heavy but as she had to keep reminding herself, Carrionite-human hybrids weren't as strong as her. It was hardly their fault.
Soon after the two of them had gotten settled, Kellah poked her head around the door. Dean, Lisa and Kevin stood behind her glad they had found them. Sally and Alice appeared 10 minutes later - around 10:50. Leo ran in two minutes later babbling about a tarantula.
It seemed that a boy two years above them had smuggled in a tarantula which had broken loose. Unfortunately for said tarantula, it had been completely eviscerated by two fifth year girl who had blasted it with overpowered 'Evanescos'. Leo who had arachnophobia had been witness to the whole thing. He was shaking by the time he finished his tale.
Roger who came in as he was finishing was also subject to a traumatic experience. The poor boy had obliviously walked in to the silenced compartment of a sixth year couple. The two had remembered to cast a silencing charm but seemed to have forgotten the locking charm.
When the boys had finished with their tales, it was 10.58. However, Anne and Anna hadn't turned up yet. Just as the Doctor was worrying that they had been killed or kidnapped, the twins rushed in tearfully.
Here we go again.
