Chapter 1 – Please Find Them

Jordan's P.O.V

"Hi my name is Cynthia-Rose. But Officer CR, or Officer Rose, this is Officer Ashley Jones, Officer Jessica Smith and Officer Jor- sorry, Jordan Mitchell"

"Hi, I'm Rita, the school's secretary and Mr. Harris' assistant. Hi Jordan. Right, follow me and we'll head to see John Harris, the head"

As the ladies all followed Rita, Jordan and Cynthia stepped back, so that Cynthia could talk to her.

"I am sorry, Mitchell, but you know you can't be involved in the case. Believe me, I would have you if I could"

"I understand CR, it's just a shit situation, I want to do everything I can to help my best friend get her daughter back"

"I know you do, but also as you can't be involved, you won't be able to sit in on Beca's interview, so do you mind if I question her?"

"Yeah, that's fine, I trust you. If there is anything I can, just looking or helping to track the girls, let me know. I do want to come along when we find them, whether I drive myself or tag along in the car"

"I'll talk to Denise, but I'm sure it'll be ok. I can't imagine what you're going through, but you're too close to the girls"

"I know, I know, it is hard, but I can't imagine what Iris or Sarah and Dave are going through, let alone Emma's friends and family. I will do as much as I can"

"I know you will, I trust your judgement. I need you to wait outside with the girls, you can't be too involved, but I can talk to you quietly about it afterwards"

"That's fine, I can sit with Beca, I have no idea how she is"

"Just through here and in his office"

"Thank you. Smith, Jones, follow me. Take notes"

"Understood CR"

Beca's P.O.V

"MUM" Beca ran over and cried. "They've taken them, they've taken Chloe"

"I know darling, I know"

"Why aren't you in there with them? You need to help bring them home"

"Sweetie, I can't, I'm too close to the girls. I can help in somethings, but I can't get too involved. It sucks as I want to help find them, but rules are rules. At least I'm here, but the officers do want to interview you girls, we just need to wait for the parents, and unfortunately because I'm an Officer, I can't sit in with you, so it'll just be you and Officer Rose. But once it's over, I can come and see you"

"But I want you with me, I want my Mum"

"I know, but unfortunately I can't. I can help but I just have to stay back and let them do it"

John's P.O.V

"So, John, can you tell me as much as you know about what happened, and then show us the CCTV"

Yes of course. Beca, sorry Rebecca Mitchell wasn't in school for homeroom or first period, she got a text message from Chloe Beale, one of the girls missing saying that their teacher Miss Emma Jackson, the teacher who's missing, said that I'd asked for Beca to come and see me when second period started, which I didn't. so when Beca came to my office, I was confused. Miss Emma Jackson was teaching Maths with Patricia Hobart, Emily Junk – they are the girls sat outside with Beca, and Stacie Conrad, who's also gone. From what I can gather from Emily and Patricia, Emma asked to talk to Chloe outside, and when they came back in, Chloe didn't say anything, she went on her phone, so I'm assuming to message Beca. Stacie was also on her phone, but no one saw what she was doing. Emily sits next to Chloe, but she couldn't see what she was doing on her phone. Once the first period had ended, they were about to go to Science, but Stacie and Chloe said they'd see them after. They went to the toilet, and they're not in the same class as Beca, Emily or Amy. Emily and Amy were messaging in the group chat they have with the girls. It must've been about 10 minutes into their Science lesson and Chloe and Stacie's teacher, Mr Edward Neadem, came into their class to see if the girls were there or if they'd seen them, which they hadn't seen them since they went to the toilets. Beca was in here, but then went out, assuming to go on a hunt for them. Both Amy and Emily left Science. Whether the girls are out of lesson or not, they are always on their phones, so it's rare for them to not reply. They went to every spot they knew the girls would be if they were sent out or decided not to turn up. But they couldn't find them. They'd tried phoning and phoning, I've had both Rita and Miss Jo Smith call Emma Jackson, but again they're not getting through. It wasn't until Amy and Beca checked out another spot, which is were us teachers smoke on breaks, or free periods that they found the girl's bags. While the girls went back out, I phoned the IT department, to check the CCTV. They'd forgotten about the teacher's smoking are, so they checked it whilst the girls were there, and then they found the girls and Emma, but you can watch the CCTV for that. Beca and Amy brought the girl's bags up, which are the bags in the corner. They went through them and their phones are missing"

"Ok, thank you can you show me the CCTV footage please?"

As John showed the Officers the CCTV, it was recording the girls who were knocked out and with 2 other people's help, their bags were left on the ground, none of the people taking them even looked at them. One by one they were carried into the back of the van and it didn't take them long to go before anyone saw. It was all too quick.

"I'm going to send this to the station, just to see if anyone can make out the registration of the vehicle and check the make model and who it's addressed too. Whilst they are looking at that, I'm going to talk to Rebecca, Jones can you talk to Emily? Smith can you talk to Patricia? John, can you please make sure no one leaves the school. Once we have spoken to the girls, we'd like for you to call an emergency assembly so we can talk to everyone. Would you mind sending out an email to the other teachers just letting them know there will be an emergency assembly?"

"Of course, anything I can do help, just give me a shout"

"Thank you. Until we know there's no one else in the school, if students need to go out, they should be escorted and sat with someone else. We saw three people, but we don't know if there's anyone else here. They obviously got in this morning, I'd presume through the back, I'll get a couple of people over just to investigate it. Let's talk to the girls"
